According to the NY Times, Biden knew and accepted this reality
In late March, [Lloyd] Austin and [Mark] Milley made a last-ditch effort with the president by forecasting dire outcomes in which the Afghan military folded in an aggressive advance by the Taliban. They drew comparisons to how the Iraqi military was overrun by the Islamic State in 2014 after U.S. combat troops left Iraq, prompting Obama to send U.S. forces back. “We’ve seen this movie before,” Austin told Biden, according to officials with knowledge of the meetings.
Most everyone knows that Biden was a key player in the original decision to remove troops form Iraq, which led to disaster and the United States having to reengage troops to help clean up the mess. At this point Afghanistan is probably too far gone for any sort of reengagement to be helpful.
Trump talked about a full withdrawal of all troops from Afghanistan, but rather ended up with negotiated terms with the Taliban for what would amount to a large (but not total) withdrawal of US Troops. There was flexibility there in terms of being able to monitor Taliban actions and justify either withdrawal or engagement of US troops was necessary. He had his own ideas, but listed to advice.
But as is the case with pretty much everything, Biden has to do the exact opposite of Trump regardless. He's reversed US position on the pipeline (gas prices), he reversed our strategy at the border (total disaster), and reentered the failed Iraqi nuclear deal (fracturing alliances in that area), and he quite obviously shifted course in Afghanistan and the end result has been utter failure and embarrassment so far.
What has been proven over and over and over here folks has been remarkably simple. Whatever personal feelings you had about Trump. He was 100% correct and Biden has been 100% wrong about every issue where Trump's previous policies have been replaced by Biden's policies. Not a one of Biden's reversals has proven to be better. Certainly not from any tangible standpoint.

The #Biden failure in Afghanistan allowed savages in sandals to destroy American credibility
While his team made Tik Tok videos & fed him ice cream
& The Pentagon studied White Rage & planned pride marches
These people are not fit for duty
@JoeBiden should be impeached or face a 25th Amendment test
&@SecDef & #GenMilley should be fired & run out of the Pentagon in disgrace
They told us the Afghan Army was real
#Afghanistan was a farce & so are they
They should all get the axe
FACT CHECK - TRUE
Even liberals are not supporting him on this issue.
Max Boot: “The Taliban will now be more dangerous than ever. This is on Biden, and it will leave an indelible stain on his presidency.”
“The words that Biden uses to describe the delta variant — a ‘largely preventable tragedy that will get worse before it gets better’ — apply to his handling of Afghanistan. Former defense secretary Robert Gates once said that Biden ‘has been wrong on nearly every major foreign policy and national security issue over the past four decades.’ He has certainly been calamitously, tragically, wrong about Afghanistan.”
“Biden will spend the rest of his presidency grappling with the tragic consequences of this preventable disaster.”
Every fucking "woke" idiot in the Pentagon deserves to be fired with malice, publicly disgraced, stripped of any title or rank, and their pensions revoked.
Hopefully they commit suicide.
But you are still in love with Donald Trump.

Very interesting take on how the Taliban moved in using a Facebook owned app. Somehow they ban Trump but enable the terrorists.
Wonder if China was helping them plan this out.
Worth at least a skim read
“The words that Biden uses to describe the delta variant — a ‘largely preventable tragedy that will get worse before it gets better’
What is interesting is that the Delta variant came about in March of 2021, or two months after Biden took office. I am curious if Biden believes he missed something that could have prevented it? If so, has he described what he didn't do to prevent it?
Obviously only a complete and utter dementia driven foolish moron would believe that our medical people should have "anticipated" the Delta variant before it happened and somehow irradiated it prior to it coming about. We could only medically deal with it as we learned of it. (that is kind of how real science that doesn't involve crystal balls works).
What did Biden and his team slip up on?
Since Biden admitted that this current surge from Delta (which didn't exist in the US prior to his Presidency) was preventable.

By the time you read this missive, there will probably be little or no Afghanistan left unTalibanned – its capitals are getting grabbed up faster than the blueberry muffins at a Vindman family reunion. That guy represents everything wrong with our military and our elite – a mediocrity who stabbed his boss (and the American people) in the back by taking it upon himself to make foreign policy rather than help the guy elected to do so – is held up as an exemplar by our pathetic ruling caste. Recently, he posed (cringingly) with another disappointment who was tested and found wanting, the withered and wrinkly Arnold Schwarzenegger. Arnold the action hero is now just a grouchy old man with barely the virility to sex pester his maid anymore. That’s our military folks – the tough image hiding a pathetic reality. Like The Impregnator when he botched governing California, our military botches its one job when it fights anyone not willing to just roll over.
We saw the root cause when we watched those generals, bedecked in medals from their failed campaigns, sitting before Congress and defending their stupid reading lists consisting of the kind of stupid books that vapid, frigid Chardonnay junkies from Santa Monica read, not combat leaders. Move over, Sun Tzu – Henry “Ibram X. Kendi” Rogers has some insights into why the country you swore to die for sucks. That should motivate that 19-year old paratrooper from Omaha to take that hill! Thucydides, who we need more than ever right now, gets out of the way – here comes “Dr.” Robin DiAngelo to explain how everyone is racist, especially you. So wait, your job is to give your life…for racists?
No wonder we lose. We’re not a serious military. It’s now a jobs program for semi-employable field grade and flag officer failures to time-serve in until they can retire and get a sweet, sweet gig at Boeingrayheedynamics.

Biden’s Rosy Statements Were Ill-Advised
August 16, 2021 at 9:58 am EDT By Taegan Goddard
“Last month,
in the span of five days, President Joe Biden made two different statements that have come back to haunt him,” First Read notes.
“The first: that the United States was closer than ever to declaring its independence from the coronavirus.
“The second: that the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan wouldn’t result in chaos or the Taliban controlling the entire country.
“Yes, you can legitimately argue that Biden isn’t to blame for the latest surge in coronavirus cases coming mainly from unvaccinated Americans, or for an Afghanistan withdrawal timeline negotiated by his predecessor. But in each case, he spiked the football before he got into the endzone with his messages.”
Vaccine-Skeptic Cardinal Now on Ventilator

“Most days
during the coronavirus pandemic, Cardinal Raymond Burke could be found strolling down the streets of Rome maskless and carrying rosary beads. The 73-year-old conservative cardinal was an early critic of social distancing and, later, an unabashed skeptic of the vaccine,” the Washington Post reports.
“On Tuesday, Burke announced he had tested positive for the coronavirus. Now, the cardinal is in a hospital bed in his native Wisconsin, breathing with the help of a ventilator.”
Burke once said that Catholics who voted for Obama had “collaborated with evil.”

“As of midnight, no action appeared to have been taken against Carnahan directly, but the committee approved two actions she opposed:
conducting a financial audit
and ending a practice of non-disclosure agreements that was alleged to have muzzled her critics.”
“In her tenure, Carnahan has overseen a parade of executive directors come and go. The sixth and most recent was Andy Aplikowski, who left the post earlier this month.”

Your buddy the Reverend seems to be buying the narrative that it's about Trump.
I appreciate that the idea that Trump is to blame is so completely dishonest and foolish that you won't even fall for it. This is 100% about Biden and a 100% failure that is 100% about the withdrawal policy (which was a change again from what we had in place).
Biden made the decision (in spite of pushback from top military brass) to undo the previous terms of withdrawal and set his own course. How certain people can still figure out how to blame the person whose policies were being tossed aside is beyond me (and apparently even beyond you).

Biden Adviser Blames Afghan Security Forces

Biden went to sleep earlier than usual tonight, per WH official. ‘He was confused by all the conflicting intel reports’
but he probably got up late to make up for it
The long term effects of the Delta variance and even the covid-19 virus have signs of long term effects.
While some breakthrough cases among those who are fully vaccinated against Covid-19 are inevitable, they are unlikely to result in hospitalization or death. But one important question about breakthrough infection that remains unanswered is: Can the vaccinated develop so-called long Covid?
Long Covid refers to a set of symptoms — such as severe fatigue, brain fog, headache, muscle pain and sleep problems — that can persist for weeks or months after the active infection has ended. The syndrome is poorly understood, but studies suggest that between 10 and 30 percent of adults who catch the virus may experience long Covid, including those who experienced only mild illness or no symptoms at all.
But the vast majority of data collected about long Covid has been in the unvaccinated population. The risk of developing long Covid for the fully vaccinated who get infected after vaccination hasn’t been studied.
While preliminary research suggests that it is, in fact, possible for a breakthrough case to lead to symptoms that can persist for weeks to months, there are still more questions than answers. What percent of breakthrough cases result in lingering symptoms? How many of those people recover? Are the persistent symptoms after breakthrough infection as severe as those that occur in the unvaccinated?

“I just don’t think there is enough data,” said Dr. Zijian Chen, medical director at the Center for Post-Covid Care at Mount Sinai Health System in New York. “It’s too early to tell. The population of people getting sick post vaccination isn’t that high right now, and there’s no good tracking mechanism for these patients.”
The worst consequences of the delta variant could indeed have been preventable, as Biden said, if more people had gotten vaccinated.
Well things were up and running like clockwork when Biden took over. Had gone from no vaccine (and none expected till much later) to getting close to a million vaccinations a day.
I guess the people who came along and took over are obviously to blame if that initial success of the vaccine rollout couldn't be kept up with.
As even the NY Times and other media members are starting to accept. The biggest problems are not the random "conservative" catholic religious figure, but the mass quantifies of blacks and younger people who are not getting vaccinated.
As pointed out, when certain places in NY put a vaccine requirement to enter an establishment it blocked out nearly 70% of the black population in that state (as only 30% of blacks are vaccinated). This will become a "racial issue" once vaccination mandate start coming into reality. Because in "reality" it won't be older whites who are being left out. It will be disproportionately black people and younger people.
It turns out that older white people (the ones who the left love to demonize) are over 80% fully vaccinated. Every time you see a story about some White person over the age of 50 who was some sort of anti-vaxxer - understand that this is just red herring antectodal attempts to undermine the actual empirical data.
What sort of lowbrow non-thinking partisan gaslighted idiot would fall for that?

What's that old saying, "weakness is provocative." Along with the Islami-kazes of this world, the Russians, Iranians, Cubans, NorKs and most of all the Chi-Coms are laughing their asses off and champing at the bit. Aside from the fact that Joe Biden is a visibly demented near-octogenarian whose cognitive function is deteriorating now on a daily basis, he and his handlers are hell bent on doing anything and everything both domestically and internationally to weaken us, our citizenry and allies while emboldening, kowtowing and appeasing our enemies. He's taken a wrecking ball to our economy, our fossil fuel industry, our nuclear arsenal, our borders and national identity and the notion of comity, compromise and the rule of a just, stable law. And where is so-called quote-unquote "president" Joey Soft-Serve Custard? Why, he's on vacation at Camp David, totally incommunicado. Not to worry, though. We're told he plans on maybe addressing the nation in the "next few days" ("First, address the nation. 'Hello, nation!'").
Look, I'd be lying to you if I said that I believed we should never have been in Afghanistan in the first place. But like all but the wisest of you, I too was deceived by the intelligence community - the same intelligence community that worked overtime to sabotage Trump in 2016 and finally succeeded in 2020 - as well as those who want endless wars for the sole purpose of enriching themselves. But doing what Biden and his handlers did is just the height of irresponsibility and cluelessness. Yet that is the left; everything they believe in is 180 degrees out of phase with reality because they see the world as they want to see it, without any clue as to how it actually operates.

A twenty year policy cannot be 100% blamed on Biden. He will bear some of, but not all of, the responsibility for it.
When he up and changed the policy that was currently in place in spite of disagreement from top military brass... then it is 100% his responsibility.
I know that you will read bloggers dishonestly tell you that Biden was just following Trump's policy, but that wasn't true at all. Biden was eager (for whatever reasons) to speed things up and ignore certain benchmarks and other markers left in place.
Trump might have (at one time) advocated a full withdrawal, but that is not the policy he put in place ultimately after discussing with military and other foreign policy experts. We can only judge leaders for what they actually do (not for what they at one time thought about).
Well things were up and running like clockwork when Biden took over. Had gone from no vaccine (and none expected till much later) to getting close to a million vaccinations a day.
actually Trump succeeded and Biden failed
and it is obvious.

80% plus of Whites over the age of 50 are vaccinated.
70% plus of Blacks under the age of 30 are not.

Again, once these actual vaccination mandates start taking place. We will see which demographics and groups scream the loudest about not being allowed to take part in society. I suspect it won't be old white people.

Regarding Ch's strange rant at me at 9:57, I really don't remember saying anything about the "old" white people being the chief problem, but then again I often read things attributed to me in Ch's rants that I don't remember saying or advocating.
Yes, there are blacks and browns who are suspicious of vaccinations, but more and more of them are getting vaccinated, and it is interesting that it is the heavily Trump-leaning states where the unvaccinated numbers are worse, as are the rising hospitalizations and deaths, including among younger and younger people.
I did some research on woke bs.
Before 2014, the call to “stay woke” was, for many people, unheard of. The idea behind it was common within Black communities at that point — the notion that staying “woke” and alert to the deceptions of other people was a basic survival tactic. But in 2014, following the police killing of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri, “stay woke” suddenly became the cautionary watchword of Black Lives Matter activists on the streets, used in a chilling and specific context: keeping watch for police brutality and unjust police tactics.
In the six years since Brown’s death, “woke” has evolved into a single-word summation of leftist political ideology, centered on social justice politics and critical race theory. This framing of “woke” is bipartisan: It’s used as a shorthand for political progressiveness by the left, and as a denigration of leftist culture by the right.
And on top was the murder of a drug addicted black man.
Using anti Woke is the same thing..
People on the right wing believe that the military is a woke culture.
This is more evidence of the attempted coup that is still going on in every Republican state.

ALBANY — The Washington Avenue Armory mass vaccination site in Albany is set to close next week, federal officials confirmed Wednesday.
The state Department of Health entered into an agreement with the Federal Emergency Management Agency to open the site nearly three months ago in an effort to bring mass quantities of the coronavirus vaccine directly into underserved communities.

The deal was reached in talks in Doha, Qatar, between senior Taliban officials and Gen. Frank McKenzie.

America’s Failures in Afghanistan Were Bipartisan
August 16, 2021 at 12:00 pm EDT By Taegan Goddard
Gerald Seib:
“The odyssey was thoroughly bipartisan,
and in the end the retreat from it was widely supported by the public.
"In retrospect, it appears Americans lost their interest in Afghanistan when their leaders failed to keep showing that the exercise still was connected to its original and narrow purpose,
which was to head off the threat of terrorism.
Americans wanted victory over extremism, not an open-ended presence to make it less likely.
“The war was started by a Republican president,
the peak in troop strength reached under a Democratic president,
the agreement to leave struck by another Republican president,
and the departure decision carried out by another Democratic president.
"Every one of those presidents learned what history should have taught about Afghanistan,
which is that the local fighter always knows he will outlast the foreign occupier.”
U.S. Sends In More Troops to Secure Kabul Airport
August 16, 2021 at 12:22 pm EDT By Taegan Goddard
“The U.S. military
is deploying another 1,000 paratroopers to help secure Hamid Karzai International Airport in Kabul, where evacuations were halted Monday after thousands of Afghan civilians stormed the runway in an attempt to flee the country,” Axios reports.
“The Pentagon expects the number of U.S. troops in Kabul to reach 6,000.”
Afghans Die Falling From Planes Trying to Leave
August 16, 2021 at 12:21 pm EDT By Taegan Goddard
Associated Press:
“Thousands of Afghans rushed onto the tarmac of Kabul’s international airport Monday, some so desperate to escape the Taliban capture of their country that they held onto an American military jet as it took off and plunged to death in chaos that killed at least seven people.”
_______
Dreadful.
The Wall Street Journal reports that
Americans failure in Afghanistan is a bi partisan failure.
All of that, in turn, raises questions about whether this superpower, unlike its imperial predecessors, is really cut out for this kind of long-term foreign adventure.
The war was started by a Republican president, the peak in troop strength reached under a Democratic president, the agreement to leave struck by another Republican president, that departure decision carried out by another Democratic president. Every one of those presidents learned what history should have taught about Afghanistan, which is that the local fighter always knows he will outlast the foreign occupier.
By the end, the U.S. public, having lost the point of America’s longest war, had mostly stopped paying attention and essentially just wanted out. And that impulse, too, was bipartisan. The Chicago Council on Global Affairs last month asked in a national survey whether Americans agreed with President Biden’s decision to withdraw. Seven in 10 said they approved, including 77% of Democrats, 73% of independents and 56% of Republicans. In the 2020 presidential campaign, both Republican President Donald Trump and Democratic candidate Joe Biden promised to end “endless” wars; the topic was barely discussed between them.
---- I can't post the entire story but if you can't read it I will post more later..
Well the empirical data is the empirical data is the empirical data, Reverend.
That data clearly shows without any question or even a hint of doubt that older white people are getting the vaccination at a much higher clip than younger black people. There is also no clear empirical data to support that younger blacks are suddenly getting vaccinated in record numbers.
As for "Democrat vs Republican" - I strongly suspect that your use of these numbers are being used without ANY nuance what-so-ever. Look at Florida (for instance). The numbers are clear:
7 day average new cases right now:
Biden won counties - 12,756
Trump won Counties - 8,926
Total cases
Biden won counties - 1,846,687
Trump won Counties - 1,030,526
Total deaths
Biden won counties - 20,491
Trump won Counties - 16,482
So Reverend... how does that reflect your Democrat vs Republican narrative?
Wanna bet if I went into EVERY SINGLE STATE in the country that the big urban counties that favored Biden will have more new cases, total cases, and total deaths than those counties that favored Trump?
I mean if we really want to break it down by partisanship. Let's break it down to what matters. Counties - not full states.

National leaders, in turn, spent less and less time making the case that the American presence in Afghanistan actually was necessary as a terrorist deterrent. Instead of arguing that a small but open-ended American presence there was an acceptable price to pay for an insurance policy against an Islamic extremist upsurge, they maintained there could be a diplomatic solution that would pave the way for a neat exit.
What Americans weren’t ready for—and what their political leaders never prepared them for—was a long-term American military presence, akin to those in Japan, South Korea and Western Europe. In the end, the real mystery is why Americans, who have readily accepted hundreds of thousands of troops stationed endlessly in those places, weren’t prepared to see even a few thousand troops on the ground in Afghanistan in an open-ended mission.
Americans accepted large and open-ended commitments in Europe and Asia because the threat of communism at the outset was more clear and omnipresent than is the current terrorism threat, says Chuck Hagel, who was defense secretary when President Barack Obama attempted to declare combat in Afghanistan at an end. Moreover, he says, those military outposts were established in a climate of peace, when fighting had ended, not during combat. That wasn’t the case in Afghanistan, where fighting ebbed and flowed but never really stopped.
In addition, Americans always saw Afghanistan as a mystifying place, unknown and utterly foreign to them. Mr. Hagel, a decorated Vietnam War veteran, says that disconnect was a repeat of the one that plagued the effort in Vietnam.
“This is the lesson we learned in Vietnam, and we have to learn it in Afghanistan, and in Iraq, too,” he says. “We get into these situations, we’re never sure why we’re there. We never get to learn the country, the customs, the people.”

Trump won 51% of the vote count.
- Those counties represent 41% of new Covid cases
Biden won 48% of the vote count.

Anyway you cut it, there are more cases both in real numbers and in per capita numbers for counties won by Joe Biden.

Flashback Quote of the Day
August 16, 2021 at 12:45 pm EDT By Taegan Goddard
“I started the process,
all the troops are coming home.
Biden couldn’t stop the process.”
— Donald Trump, at a rally last month, on pulling U.S. troops out of Afghanistan.
______
YES, Mr. ExPresident, we will give you ALL THE CREDIT for this that you claim.
So we knew this was coming 18 fucking months ago:
KABUL — The spectacular collapse of Afghanistan’s military that allowed Taliban fighters to walk into the Afghan capital Sunday despite 20 years of training and billions of dollars in American aid began with a series of deals brokered in rural villages between the militant group and some of the Afghan government’s lowest-ranking officials.
The deals, initially offered early last year, were often described by Afghan officials as cease-fires, but Taliban leaders were in fact offering money in exchange for government forces to hand over their weapons, according to an Afghan officer and a U.S. official.
Over the next year and a half, the meetings advanced to the district level and then rapidly on to provincial capitals, culminating in a breathtaking series of negotiated surrenders by government forces, according to interviews with more than a dozen Afghan officers, police, special operations troops and other soldiers.

WASHINGTON — President Joe Biden will return to the White House on Monday afternoon to give a speech about Afghanistan after the Taliban took charge over the weekend, prompting growing criticism from his allies in Washington.
The speech is scheduled for 3:45 p.m. ET.
He should say the same thing like President Truman.

GOP Senator Suggests Biden Be Removed From Office

Biden’s Approval Rating Takes Its First Little Dip
August 16, 2021 at 1:00 pm EDT By Taegan Goddard
Jonathan Bernstein:
“Guess what? President Joe Biden’s approval rating isn’t set in stone after all. After months of almost eerie stasis, Biden has lost a little ground in public opinion polls over the last month.
He’s now at 50% approval and 43.8% disapproval, according to the FiveThirtyEight estimate based on some fancy averaging of all the reputable polls out there.”
“That’s just a small movement from the low-50s range he’s been in since he took office in January. His overall approval range is barely more than five percentage points. By contrast, Donald Trump’s range at this point in his presidency was over 10 percentage points; Barack Obama’s was around 15. So Biden’s remains unusually stable.
“And his popularity continues to be nothing special historically, at least compared with relatively recent presidents. Through 206 days in office, he continues to have better approval numbers than Trump, Bill Clinton and Gerald Ford, while trailing everyone else, but now he's close to both Obama and George W. Bush."

Blame the Army, not Biden, for our panicked evacuation from Afghanistan
AuthorKevin DrumPublished onAugust 15, 2021 – 4:24 pm77 Commentson Blame the Army, not Biden, for our panicked evacuation from Afghanistan
Like it or not, this is true:
This is why we stayed in Afghanistan so long: no president wanted to be the one who "lost Afghanistan." Because of this, a war we should have exited at least a decade ago lasted twice as long as it should have.
But put that aside for a moment and let's zoom in on recent events. Who's really to blame for the events of the past couple of months? Who's to blame for the obviously disastrous collapse of the Afghan military and the rushed evacuation of US personnel?
For partisan reasons, Republicans will blame Biden. Even some Democrats and policy experts will do the same. But it just isn't so. Nobody wants to say this out loud, but the real blame lies with the US military.
In a broad sense, of course, they're the ones who were never able to carry out their training mission in the first place. But in a narrower sense, they're also the ones who gave consistently bad advice to Biden practically from the day he entered office. How long would it take the Taliban to take over once the drawdown was in progress? At least six months, they said, and they acted accordingly. In reality, it took weeks, not months, and the result is the panicked evacuation we're now seeing.
Nobody ever wants to blame the military for failures in the field. For one thing, there's no partisan advantage in it. For another, the military knows how to fight back in news outlets, in Congress, and in the public eye. Nobody in Washington wants to make an enemy of them.
But make no mistake: Civilian policymakers made plenty of mistakes in Afghanistan, but it was the US military that was behind all these failures. They provided bad advice. They failed in their mission. They were never able to understand the country they were occupying. This is the story that needs to be written.

I have been thinking that once Bin Laden was killed by President Obama.
He should have directed the Army to teach the Afghanistan armed forces how to fight the Taliban militants, without our Armed forces.
But they didn't do that.

Hey Reverend...
Can you explain why counties that voted for Biden have 59% of the new cases in Florida if Florida is reflective of your "assumption" that the problem is Republicans listening to talk radio?
I noticed that you just wandered off into different cut and paste subjects, rather than to address the statistics I provided?
Would you have to agree that if heavy Black counties like Miami-Dade and Broward account for high percentages of new cases right now that perhaps this actually corresponds to other empirical data that suggests that younger people and blacks are the ones having issues with being vaccinated?
Also wouldn't you agree that both of these examples of objective empirical evidence flies in the face of the narrative (that you blindly follow) that the problem is Republicans not wanting to get vaccinated for political reasons?
Is there any "actual" empirical evidence to suggest that this is the real problem? Especially since it took me 10 minutes to show that the problems right now in Florida do not reflect a problem with White Trump voters.
And I think we both instinctively understand that if this is the case in Florida, that it's likely the case in most states in the country.

I have been thinking that once Bin Laden was killed by President Obama.
Al Quadra had long since fled Afghanistan by then. Bin Laden was killed in Pakistan.
The one thing I approved of Obama doing was telling the Pakistanis to shove it when they complained about us violating their airspace to kill Bin Laden.
He should have directed the Army to teach the Afghanistan armed forces how to fight the Taliban militants, without our Armed forces.
They didn't have a functioning Air Force or intelligence operation and the average Afghan solider was an illiterate backwards peasant.
Biden to troops "Clap you bastards"
Biden to voters “I’ll do my job and take responsibility. I won’t blame others.” He also added that following that would be “unlike this president,” meaning Trump at the time.

Joe Biden is facing a crisis of competence
Analysis by Chris Cillizza, CNN Editor-at-large
Updated 11:46 AM EDT, Mon August 16, 2021
(CNN)At the heart of Joe Biden's 2020 presidential campaign was a single word: competence.
After four years of Donald Trump's incompetence in, well, everything, the Biden argument was that the country badly needed a steady hand on the tiller -- someone who had been there and done that. Someone who didn't need training to do the job. Someone who was exactly the opposite of the guy currently in office.
And it worked. Rather than see Biden's age -- he's 78 -- as a negative, plenty of voters believed his decades of experience were what the country needed in the post-Trump era. Knowing how the federal bureaucracy worked mattered. So did having good relationships with world leaders. And having seen everything there was to see on both the domestic and foreign policy fronts.
If he stutters like. There may be the first use of the 25th and.

'Rumors That The Taliban Have Taken Over Are Unfounded,' Says Jen Psaki Wearing Hijab
WASHINGTON, D.C.—Many are expressing concerns over how far the Taliban has managed to advance after Press Secretary Jen Psaki gave her latest press conference while wearing an Islamic Hijab.
"No, there is nothing to worry about, Alhamdulillah, Allah be praised," said Psaki. "The Taliban poses no danger to the U.S. and they definitely have not advanced as far as Washington, D.C. Everything is fine here."
When asked about her new modest religious veil, she responded, "What do you mean? I always wear these! It's sunny out and it keeps the sun off my head. Nothing to worry about!" She then circled back to face Mecca and bowed her head to the ground.
The White House also confirmed that the crowd of military-aged males with AK47s playing soccer on the White House lawn was just a fun little bit of performance art and nothing to be concerned over.
In other news, D.C. has confirmed that call to prayer will be at 3pm this afternoon and that everyone needs to be on time.
