Been through this a "million" times!

Top Dems: We have framework to pay for $3.5T bill; no detail
Asked whether he expected to have the revenue outline shared with him soon, Senate Budget Committee Chairman Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., told reporters, “If there is a framework, yes.” Sanders has been in the middle of talks on Democrats’ fiscal plans all year. “We’ve been through this a million times, so there are many, many approaches as to how you can raise money in a fair and progressive way, and raise at least three and a half trillion dollars. If that’s what the menu is, then nothing particularly new, I think,” Sanders said.

So chairman Sanders suggests that he has explained over a million times how the country can raise 3.5 trillion dollars in new revenues. Which begs the question, why don't we just raise the 3.5 trillion dollars and lower the deficit if it is that easy to do?

The truth is that there is not any reasonable way to raise 3.5 trillion dollars without hitting the middle class right between the eyes with a two by four. As much as liberals aways pretend otherwise, there is not an unlimited trough of money to be raised by taxing corporations and/or the rich. Everytime we attempt something like this, we lose corporations to other countries and we see the rich come up with new and better ways to avoid taxes.

At the end of the day, the 3.5 trillion will not get paid for and what little is paid for will come out of the wallets of the middle class.

The Framework That’s Not Really a Framework
September 23, 2021 at 3:08 pm EDT By Taegan Goddard 54 Comments

Punchbowl News says what Democrats have called a framework for taxes in the budget reconciliation bill isn’t much more than a list of options.

“The main story here, as far as we can tell, is that Democrats are now trying to change the conversation from ‘The party is a mess’ to ‘We’re making progress.'

“We know nothing about this framework — and it doesn’t seem like anyone else does either. We just know that Democrats say they have come to a decision on a group of pay fors — which essentially means that they haven’t decided on what pays that they want to use.”

Trump Is Losing the Culture Wars

Leonard Steinhorn: “This does not mean that a path to a more liberal America is inevitable or will be friction-free. Trump’s damage to our democratic institutions could be massive especially if he and his supporters in Republican-run states continue to interfere with elections and voting rights. And his impact on the courts and fights over manufactured issues such as critical race theory and transgender athletes may delay changes, or make them more difficult to enact.

“Yet, the ‘age of Reagan’ taught us that those who shout the loudest about a world that’s passing them by may not be the ones wielding the most influence when it comes to the social and cultural metamorphosis that will reshape our lives and country in the years and decades ahead.”

Secondly this is the same rhetoric in history from FDR to today.

“The wealthiest 400 families in the United States are paying an average income tax rate of just 8.2%, A lot lower percentage than you pay! Even when you deduct your state taxes and property taxes, you will pay a higher percentage than Bezos if we don't reverse top down economics.

Wealth creation to a leftist can only occur at the point of a gun. They simply have no concept of organic wealth creation. And worse, they have no capacity to learn it.

What wealth you and I have accumulated MUST'VE been taken from someone else. Ill-gotten gains. That's why engaging a leftist in a conversation about economics is a fools errand.

Trutherism has to be cured.

Opinion by Max Boot
September 22 at 8:37 AM PDT

On Feb. 4, 1735, Benjamin Franklin famously advised his fellow Philadelphians to prevent fires by being careful with hot coals, cleaning chimneys and enacting regulations against wooden molding on fireplaces. “An Ounce of Prevention is worth a Pound of Cure,” he wrote.
Today’s Republicans turn that wise aphorism on its head. They seem to think an ounce of cure is worth a pound of prevention. When it comes to three of the most urgent crises we face — covid-19, global warming and gun violence — they disdain prevention in favor of amelioration. In practice that means allowing these calamities to rage out of control — and then hoping for the best.
Republicans have consistently, perversely sabotaged attempts to stop the spread of the coronavirus. They have been hostile to lockdowns, social distancing, and mask and vaccine mandates. Instead, many Republicans have embraced either fatalism (“There are more important things than living,” the Republican lieutenant governor of Texas said last year) or quack cures such as hydroxychloroquine and ivermectin. Another GOP favorite — monoclonal antibody therapy — is more effective in treating covid patients, but monoclonal antibodies are in short supply, forcing the Biden administration to ration the drugs.

The result is a preventable tragedy. The United States has enough vaccine doses for everyone, yet we rank behind 43 other countries — and rapidly falling — in the percentage of our population that is vaccinated. We have been averaging 2,045 covid deaths a day over the past seven days — more than twice as many as any other nation.

Two red states — Florida and Texas — account for nearly a third of recent covid deaths. Florida’s death rate is more than 10 times that of New York, whose largest city requires proof of vaccination for people going to restaurants, bars, gyms and shows. Another red state — Mississippi — has overtaken New Jersey for the highest number of covid deaths per 100,000 people. Even if monoclonal antibodies were in more abundant supply, they couldn’t bring back the dead.

Republicans are just as blinkered in their approach to climate change — an issue that President Biden highlighted at the United Nations on Tuesday. The world has already warmed more than 1 degree Celsius since preindustrial times, and on the current trajectory temperatures will rise 2.7 degrees by the end of the century. The consequences of climate change are already catastrophic, and only getting worse.

A Post analysis found that nearly 1 in 3 Americans experienced a weather disaster this summer: “Record-shattering temperatures in the Pacific Northwest cooked hundreds of people to death in their own homes. Flash floods turned basement apartments into death traps and in one instance ripped twin babies from their father’s arms. Wildfires raged through 5 million acres of tinder-dry forest. Chronic drought pushed federal officials to impose mandatory cuts to Colorado River water for the first time.”

Yet Republicans remain in denial. One poll found that only 10 percent of them cite climate change as a top priority, and only 17 percent say human activity contributes a “great deal” to warming. Even Republicans in Congress who admit that climate change is real are trying to block Biden’s plan to transition to renewable energy. They would rather spend billions to help communities cope with the impact of extreme weather — for example, by building higher sea walls — or hope for the development of technologies to remove carbon dioxide from the atmosphere.

The Republican mantra is that cutting fossil fuel use will kill jobs. Republicans don’t seem to care that climate change is killing people — and also inflicting heavy economic costs. (The United States suffered $95 billion in damage from extreme weather events in 2020.) There is simply no way that infrastructure investment can keep up with the consequences of unchecked climate change. The Post notes that, in a worst-case scenario, “More than 60,000 additional people may be killed per year by extreme heat by 2050.”
While we deal with the consequences of covid-19 and global warming, the United States is also being ravaged by an epidemic of gun violence. Last year, with nearly 20,000 people killed by firearms (not counting suicides), gun deaths spiked to a level we haven’t seen in decades. This year is even worse. No other advanced industrialized democracy has this kind of gun violence — not even close. U.S. gun deaths are more than eight times higher than in Canada and nearly 100 times higher than in the United Kingdom.

Republicans are all in favor of more police officers and longer prison sentences — but they refuse to do anything to reduce the availability of firearms. Just the opposite. The Republican-majority legislature in Texas just approved, and the Republican governor signed, a law that will make it easy to carry a gun in public without a permit. The Texas Tribune reports that law enforcement officers worry that this “could increase crime rates while putting officers and residents in danger,” but the self-described “pro-life” party couldn’t care less.

Why won’t the GOP do more to avert so many foreseeable tragedies? Because it is afraid to take on anti-vaxxers and covid deniers, oil and gas interests, and the gun lobby. Due to a combination of extremism and expedience, Republicans are allowing problems to fester at great cost rather than dealing with them at the source.

The Republicans care about winning at any level, despite people are dying unnecessarily because of people like you.

Border Patrol Loses Horse Privileges, Must Now Bang Two Empty Halves Of Coconuts Together

DEL RIO, TX—After horrific images surfaced showing horseback Border Patrol agents patrolling the border while on horseback, President Biden’s Secretary of Horses has temporarily revoked their privilege of doing their job while riding horses.

“Until the agents learn to behave in a manner that doesn't call attention to one of Biden’s many disasters, they cannot ride any horses, and must instead use these.” He then held up two empty coconut halves, demonstrating how they sound like horse hooves when banged together. A journalist from CNN asked if the sound was coming from a real horse.

Border agent Bob Arthur expressed disappointment in the decision but said he understands why it had to happen. “We Texans can get carried away once we hop on a horse. From up there, anything moving looks like a steer needing to be lassoed, hogtied, then branded. It’s good they revoked our horse privileges before we pulled out our standard-issue branding irons.”

Officer Gallahad of Border Patrol Central Command says the change has already produced positive results, such as increased capture of illegal immigrants. He credits the increase to the fact that immigrants facing this new coconut-laden threat are unable to flee while also laughing uncontrollably.

Fortunately for Border Patrol, most migrants are deciding to return to their home countries after hearing horror stories of vaccine ID restrictions unfairly targeting minority families in cities like New York City.

If there were ever a modern-day Rasputin, Joint Chiefs chairman Milley had concluded it was Miller. Milley had his staff prepare a daily, classified SECRET report, “Domestic Unrest National Overview.” The report tracked the latest violence in American cities with a population over 100,000 people. Less than a week after Floyd’s murder, Milley was walking through the report with Trump in the Oval Office. “Mr. President,” Miller said, piping up from one of the Oval Office couches, “they are burning America down. Antifa, Black Lives Matter, they’re burning it down. You have an insurrection on your hands. Barbarians are at the gate.”

Milley spun around from his seat in front of the Resolute Desk. “Shut the fuck up, Steve. “Mr. President,” Milley said turning back to Trump, “they are not burning it down.” His extended hands were flat in front of him, and he raised them up to his shoulders and slowly lowered them in a calming motion. He cited information from the daily SECRET report. “Mr. President, there are about 276 cities in America with over 100,000 people. There were two cities in the last 24 hours that had major protests,” he said. “Elsewhere, it was 20 protesters to 300.”

By late June 2020, coronavirus cases were surging. But Trump was determined to revive his trademark arena rallies, teeming with cheering supporters in red hats and carrying signs. He dearly missed them. A large rally at Tulsa, Oklahoma’s 19,000-seat BOK Center was scheduled for June 20, his first in 60 days. City health officials, however, worried about a “super-spreader event,” and urged him to cancel it. A day before, Trump told Woodward in an interview the rally would be a huge success. “I have a rally tomorrow night in Oklahoma,” Trump said. “Over 1.2 million people have signed up. We can only take about 50, 60 thousand. Because, you know, it’s a big arena, right? But we can take 22,000 in one arena, 40,000 in another. We’re going to have two arenas loaded. But think of that. Nobody ever had rallies like that.” At the rally, the arena was only about half-filled, if that, with a sea of empty blue seats facing Trump, partly the result of a social media prank organized by teenage Trump critics. Thousands of them registered for a ticket, never intending to show up. Trump later erupted about his campaign manager, Brad Parscale. At 6-foot-8 and

He had gained national notice for his digital efforts and for organizing Trump supporters on social media platforms like Facebook. “Biggest fucking mistake,” Trump said at a meeting in the Oval Office. “I shouldn’t have ever done that fucking, fucking rally,” calling Parscale a “fucking moron.” Parscale was fired as campaign manager July 15 and demoted to senior adviser. Not long after, at another July meeting in the Oval Office, his pollster, Tony Fabrizio, said that voters, especially independents, were emotionally drained. “Well, to be honest, Mr. President,” Fabrizio said, “the voters are just fatigued. They’re tired of the chaos. They’re tired of the tumult.” Normally solicitous with Fabrizio, who had helped his 2016 campaign, Trump snapped his head around. “Oh, they’re tired?” Trump said loudly and in a rage. “They’re fucking tired? Horse-Mounted Aides With Whips Chase Away Journalists Trying To Ask Biden Questions

WASHINGTON, D.C.—After journalists almost got close to thinking about asking President Biden a question, aides mounted up and drove away the frightened press corps with the terrible lashes of many whips.

“Mush! Andalรฉ!” shouted Biden’s cavalry as the press gaggle scattered, screaming in shock. “Time’s up! Back where you came from, you ingrates!”

The journalists fled in terror before the new White House unit known as the "Horsemen Of Decency". Biden sat taking everything in, wide-eyed and unmoving, like a sloth that died several days prior. The British press stared in amazement, having not witnessed such a rout since a journalist asked Meghan Markle how great it is to be a royal rich girl.

“But—but we were supposed to be on the same team!” shouted CNN’s Kaitlan Collins as she dodged whips. “Bad Joe, Bad! Help, help!”

Biden only blinked in response, his only sign of consciousness. The horse brigade pursued the journalists across the Rose Garden, cackling with delight. The Press Corps ran to tell on Biden to their dear mother Jen, who patted their heads and gave them each a cookie - except, of course, that jerk Peter Doocy.

TUCKER CARLSON (HOST): You've got to ask yourself, as you watch the historic tragedy that is Joe Biden's immigration policy, what's the point of this?

Nothing about it is an accident, obviously. It's intentional. Joe Biden did it on purpose, but why? Why would a president do this to his own country? No sane first-world nation opens its borders to the world.

Promising the poorest people on the planet that they can have endless free taxpayer funded services if they show up and break your laws? That's not just stupid, it's suicidal.

For generations, middle-class Americans have had access to the best healthcare in the world, but not anymore. That's over for good. Our system cannot handle this many destitute newcomers, period. Imagine what hospitals are going to look like a year from now. How about schools?

What Joe Biden is doing now will change this country forever. So again, why is he doing it? There's only one plausible answer. You're not allowed to say it out loud, CNN will attack you if you do. The social media companies will shut you down. The Southern Poverty Law Center will call you dangerous, you could lose your bank account. The left has become completely unhinged and hysterical and that's how you know it's true. They only censor the true things.

...

An unrelenting stream of immigration. But why? Well, Joe Biden just said it, to change the racial mix of the country. That's the reason, to reduce the political power of people whose ancestors lived here, and dramatically increase the proportion of Americans newly-arrived from the third world. And then Biden went further, he said that non-white DNA is the quote, "the source of our strength." Imagine saying that. This is the language of eugenics, it's horrifying. But there's a reason Biden said it.

In political terms, this policy is called "the great replacement," the replacement of legacy Americans with more obedient people from far-away countries. They brag about it all the time, but if you dare to say it's happening they will scream at you with maximum hysteria.

Replacement rhetoric is absolutely racist.

Even if he had mentioned slant eyed Chinese immigrants Scott would not have called him out.

Full Story

As an increasing number of people in the U.S. have turned to the antiparasitic drug ivermectin to try to prevent or treat COVID-19, social media posts have claimed that the medication — which has not been proven to be effective against the disease — could impact the reproductive health of men.

“TIL Ivermectin apparently sterilizes the majority (85%) of men that take it,” reads a since-deleted Sept. 5 tweet that was turned into an image and shared on Facebook, for example.

Another Facebook post commenting on the drug included a screen capture of the headline of a KTSM-TV story that also has been retracted.

“Ivermectin causes sterilization in 85 percent of men, study finds,” was the heading of that Sept. 8 article.

But that was not the conclusion of the 2011 Nigerian study mentioned in the article or linked to in the tweet.

The introduction section of that study said a different report published in 2002 found that “85% of all male patients treated in a particular centre with ivermectin in the recent past” developed “sperm dysfunctions,” such as low sperm counts and poor sperm motility or movement.

However, the 2011 study didn’t say that the sperm dysfunctions mentioned in the 2002 report meant that those men were suddenly infertile.

“I don’t think the study conclusively provides any evidence to show that ivermectin causes infertility,” Dr. Puneet Masson, director of Male Reproductive Medicine and Surgery at Penn Medicine Urology, told FactCheck.org in an interview.

Ivermectin

Ivermectin, in tablet form, has only been approved by the Food and Drug Administration for use in humans to treat certain parasitic worms. A topical formulation has been approved by the FDA for external use against parasites such as head lice and for skin conditions such as rosacea.

There is also an FDA-approved version of ivermectin to treat certain internal and external parasites in animals. But animal drugs should never be taken by humans, the FDA says.

As for side effects, the FDA does list several that have been associated with ivermectin for people, such as skin rashes, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, stomach pain, swelling, dizziness and seizures. But male infertility or sterility is not one of them.

“Infertility in men is not a known side effect of ivermectin and is not included as a side effect in the labeling,” an FDA spokesperson said in an email to FactCheck.org. “The labeling for ivermectin and its bioequivalents states that ivermectin had no adverse effects on the fertility in rats in studies at repeated doses of up to 3 times the maximum recommended human dose of 200 mcg/kg (on a mg/m2/day basis). ”

The FDA’s statement, along with other factors, led the El Paso, Texas-based news station to pull its article.

“FOR THE RECORD: A national story regarding Ivermectin and a study regarding its effect on men’s reproductive health that KTSM published, has been removed from our website,” KTSM investigative reporter Erin Coulehan, the author of the original story, wrote in a Sept. 9 correction. “Concerns over the scientific research methods, the veracity of the original, peer-reviewed report and public statements by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) saying that infertility is not a known side effect of Ivermectin all led to our editorial decision to remove the story.”

Despite the retraction — and numerous fact–checking articles casting doubt on the claim — people on social media continue to assert that ivermectin makes men sterile.

Democratic House and Senate leaders on Thursday announced they and the White House have reached agreement on a "framework" that will pay for most, if not all, of the massive $3.5 trillion human infrastructure bill -- a move meant to mitigate concerns from moderate and centrist Democrats opposed to the hefty price tag.

But the leaders provided very little details on the framework a day after President Joe Biden met with Democratic leaders, moderates and progressives at the White House in an effort to save his agenda from Democratic infighting. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi also did not provide a clear outline about when the reconciliation bill will be ready for a vote.

She also did not commit to putting the bipartisan infrastructure bill on the floor for a vote next Monday, which she had promised moderates would happen.

The Jan 6. select committee investigating the deadly Capitol riot has subpoenaed four aides to former President Trump for testimony and documents.

Why it matters: Former White House chief of staff Mark Meadows, former communications official Dan Scavino, former Defense Department official Kash Patel and former Trump adviser Steve Bannon were all in touch "with the White House on or in the days leading up to the January 6th insurrection," the committee said in a release.

The big picture: These are the first subpoenas for testimony issued by the select committee. Earlier Thursday, committee member Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) warned that those who refuse to comply with subpoenas would be guilty of criminal contempt.

A letter to Scavino from committee chair Bennie Thompson (D-Miss.) notes that the committee believes Scavino to have important information regarding Trump's activities and communications leading up to and on Jan. 6.Patel is believed to have relevant information regarding the security preparations on the Capitol ahead of Jan. 6 and the response to the events of the day.Thompson's letter to Meadows notes that the latter was involved both with the promotion of Trump's lies about the election and also communicated with Trump during the Capitol riot.Bannon too is believed to have key information regarding events that led up to Jan. 6. The letter from Thompson notes that on Jan. 5, Bannon was quoted as saying that "all hell is going to break loose tomorrow."

What they're saying: “The Select Committee is investigating the facts, circumstances, and causes of the January 6th attack and issues relating to the peaceful transfer of power, in order to identify and evaluate lessons learned and to recommend to the House and its relevant committees corrective laws, policies, procedures, rules, or regulations,” Chairman Thompson, wrote in the press release.

What to watch: All four have until Oct. 7 to turn over the requested documents. Patel and Bannon are instructed to appear before the committee on Oct 14, followed by Meadows and Scavino on Oct. 15.

I told you that this would be a very important week

On Wednesday, Biden spent five hours with Democratic members of Congress, in various groupings, in search of an elusive deal, and will surely be working the phones right up until Monday’s deadline for the House vote on the infrastructure bill—and beyond. No one doubts that Biden is ready to talk this to death.

But diplomacy, like war, is a tactic, not an end in itself. The Biden Presidency, on both the foreign and domestic fronts, remains a jumble of aspirations—and retains a haze of uncertainty about how to achieve them. Much of his political problem, it seems to me, is a vast gap between his articulated goals and what is politically possible. The U.S. is no longer a lone superpower unchallenged abroad; the Democratic Party is barely a majority party in the U.S. Congress. It’s a fifty-fifty Senate, and a fifty-fifty world. In a purely practical sense, the challenge for Biden is that he hasn’t got to the hard part yet. He can’t negotiate with China or the Republicans until he negotiates with his allies. France and the House progressives, ironically, are the obstacles of the week, not Xi Jinping and Mitch McConnell.

Maybe it will all work out. After a tense phone call with Biden, Emmanuel Macron is sending his Ambassador back to Washington; the two Presidents seem to be in the “at least they’re talking” stage of the spat. As for Congress, the Democrats’ large progressive caucus has spent the past few months adoring Biden for agreeing to put forward a budget bill filled with so many of their priorities, from taxpayer-funded elder care to universal pre-K, from free community college to middle-class tax cuts—to the point that they anointed this period the second coming of the Great Society before the measure had even gone through a single committee-markup vote. Now that they have to compromise, Biden doesn’t seem as appealing. But will they really abandon him? In the Senate, do the centrist Democrats Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema want to appear in the first paragraph of Biden’s obituary, which is surely what will happen if they sink his Presidency? A career’s worth of experience tells me that congressional deals always seem most out of reach right before they are reached.

The big lie just died!!!!!!

A Republican-commissioned review of nearly 2.1 million ballots cast last year in Arizona confirmed the accuracy of the official results and President Biden’s win in Maricopa County, according to a draft report prepared by private contractors who conducted the recount.

The draft was obtained by The Washington Post late Thursday night in advance of a planned public release of a final version on Friday.

The ultimate findings will cap a costly and drawn-out recount commissioned by the GOP-led Arizona Senate that had been championed by former president Donald Trump and kept alive false claims that fraud tainted the election in the state’s most populous county. The process was pilloried by election experts who warned that the methods used by the firm hired to run the review were sloppy and biased.
After nearly six months and almost $6 million — most of it given by groups that cast doubt on the election results — the draft report shows that the review concluded that 45,469 more ballots were cast for Biden in Maricopa County than for Trump, giving Biden 360 more votes than the certified results.

The draft report found the count to have “no substantial differences” from the county’s certified tallies.

If included in the final report, that finding would puncture unsubstantiated claims made by Trump and his allies that vote tabulating machines had miscounted paper ballots or been hacked to flip thousands of Trump votes to Biden.
The draft report sought to undercut that conclusion by suggesting that some ballots could have been improperly accepted and counted by the county. But the document includes key notes of caution, saying only that further investigation is warranted.
The report could still go through additional revisions before public release. The draft was provided to The Post by the Arizona secretary of state’s office, which had obtained a copy.
Randy Pullen, a spokesman for the ballot review, told an NPR affiliate in Phoenix that the draft version was “close” to the final report. He added, “Was there massive fraud or anything? It doesn’t look like it.”

Later, in a text message to The Post, he cautioned there will be be “updates in the final report.”

Biden’s win in Maricopa County, home to Phoenix, helped him earn a narrow victory in Arizona and become the first Democrat to win the state since 1996. The state’s results were upheld by state and federal courts.

The state Senate’s ballot review began in April over the objections of the Republican-led county leadership. Lawmakers used a subpoena to obtain Maricopa County’s ballots and tabulating machines, which were handed over to private contractors for review.

State Senate President Karen Fann (R), who has led the effort, has said publicly that the goal is not to revisit Biden’s win but instead to look for ways to improve the state’s election laws.

But Trump has repeatedly said he believes the investigation will vindicate his allegations about the election and show he was in fact the victor.

On Thursday night, apparently unaware of the findings of the draft report, the former president said in a statement,

The Florida-based firm that led the review, Cyber Ninjas, had never before been involved in administering an election or recount, and its chief executive, Doug Logan, publicly embraced Trump’s false claims of fraud before getting the job.
Election experts criticized the process as opaque, insecure and frequently changing, and said the recount followed few best practices established over decades for conducting unbiased and accurate election audits.

Sleepy Joe Biden is going to get it done!

The closer: Biden in familiar role, to unite party on $3.5T

By JONATHAN LEMIRE, LISA MASCARO and JOSH BOAK

WASHINGTON (AP) — The time has come for President Joe Biden to close the deal — bring progressive and centrist Democratic coalitions together in Congress — if he has any hope of delivering on his domestic policy ambitions.

As the House and Senate chase endless deliberations over the president’s big $3.5 trillion vision for a rewrite of the nation’s tax and spending priorities, Biden is being called upon by fellow Democrats to do what he is known for doing best: stitch together the party’s diverse and often unwieldly factions into a working majority to pass what would be a landmark piece of legislation.

It just might be working.

“I think everybody in the room thought this was important to get done — I don’t think there was any debate on that,” said Sen. Jon Tester, D-Mont., after meetings at the White House this week.

It’s a familiar role for Biden, who was not the most beloved or exciting candidate running for president in 2020, but the one whom Democrats from all wings of the party eventually rallied around. They saw in the seasoned leader their best option for achieving the common goal of defeating then-President Donald Trump.

Now Biden is gathering those same diverse voices that make up the party's oh-so-slim hold on Congress to do it again. This week, Biden hosted multiple constellations of lawmakers in the Oval Office, cajoling and wooing, handing out chocolate chip cookies wrapped in the presidential seal as he listened and made his case.

Biden was left to bridge the divide in his party, as he has often been before.

Unneeded to be said during the more than five hours of talks at the White House with three different groups of some 20-plus lawmakers is the political reality at stake. It’s not only Biden’s first-year presidential legacy but his party’s political future on the line — the midterm election little more than a year away. With Republicans in lockstep opposition to Biden's plan, it's up to Democrats alone to get it approved.

As difficult as it will be to pass the “Build Back Better” plan, the package also has become too big to fail.

“Failure,” as Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer has repeatedly warned, “is not an option.”

If ever there was a time for Biden to draw on his decades of experience, as a senator, vice president and now president to tap into the soft skills and hard-knuckled negotiation strategies he has honed during his long tenure, this would be it. And he is known to use both.

JONATHAN LEMIRE is a great reporter, unbiased and talented man.

With glee, former Trump campaign chairman Steve Bannon confirmed on Wednesday that he helped former President Trump plan the Jan. 6 insurrection as part of an effort to “kill the Biden presidency in the crib.”

The Trump adviser made the comments on a Wednesday episode of his War Room: Pandemic, confirming reporting in Bob Woodward and Robert Costa’s book Peril.

Bannon played a clip on his podcast of the two Washington Post reporters discussing the book on MSNBC, in which Costa said that in the days leading up to the insurrection, Bannon “privately told President Trump to have a reckoning on January 6th.”

“And he said to the president, it’s time to kill the Biden presidency in the crib,” Costa added.

Bannon then cut the clip, and said on the podcast: “Yeah, because it’s about legitimacy.”

“Let’s look at the Economist poll, not Revolver, not The War Room – 42 percent of the American people think that Biden did not win the presidency legitimately,” he added.

Bannon’s view, garbled through his own puffery and bizarre manner of speaking, also appears to confirm the book’s reporting that he told Trump that the day should be a “reckoning.” Unsurprisingly, Bannon’s remarks manage to both posit the insurrection as a legitimate revolt while also placing himself at the center of events.

It’s another piece of evidence that further ties Trump to violence at the Capitol, which occurred as Trump gave a rally repeating the Big Lie and telling his audience to go “fight” as members of Congress formalized Biden’s win.

The Justice Department continues to bring charges against individual participants in the Capitol insurrection. Federal prosecutors have yet to charge anyone with the crime of insurrection, however, and they also have yet to bring charges relating to those higher up who organized and ordered the attack.

Bannon suggested on the podcast that the insurrection could have had a dual impact: potentially stopping the electoral count, but also hardening the views of the supposed “42 percent” who bought into the Big Lie on some level.

The Trump adviser then brought it back to the politics of the moment.

“It killed itself,” Bannon said. “That’s why this debt ceiling fight, the CR fight is so important. Thats’ why getting – exposing to the world the Mogadishu situation in Del Rio, Texas – particularly for all the hardworking blue-collar Hispanics in this country, American citizens.”

He went on to suggest that the goal is further chipping away at the Biden administration’s legitimacy in the eyes of the public.

“Just look at what this illegitimate regime is doing,” he added. “It killed itself. OK? But we told you from the very beginning, just expose it, just expose it, never back down, never give up and this thing will implode.”

WASHINGTON — The select committee investigating the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol subpoenaed four of President Donald J. Trump’s closest advisers on Thursday, ramping up its scrutiny of what the former president was doing before and during the deadly riot.

The subpoenas, the first the panel has issued, seek information from Mark Meadows, the former White House chief of staff; Dan Scavino Jr., who was a deputy chief of staff; Stephen K. Bannon, Mr. Trump’s former adviser; and Kash Patel, the former Pentagon chief of staff.

The committee is demanding that the four men turn over documents by Oct. 7 and submit to depositions the following week.

“The select committee is investigating the facts, circumstances and causes of the Jan. 6 attack,(peaceful demonstrations) and issues relating to the peaceful transfer of power, in order to identify and evaluate lessons learned and to recommend to the House and its relevant committees corrective laws, policies, procedures, rules or regulations,” Representative Bennie Thompson, Democrat of Mississippi and chairman of the committee, wrote in a statement announcing the subpoenas.

In letters transmitting the orders, the committee said it was seeking information about Mr. Trump’s actions in the run-up to and during the riot. Mr. Bannon reportedly communicated with Mr. Trump on Dec. 30 and urged him to focus his efforts on Jan. 6, the committee said. He also was present at a meeting at the Willard Hotel the day before the violence, when plans were discussed to try to overturn the results of the election the next day, the committee stated. He was quoted as saying, “All hell is going to break loose tomorrow.”

Mr. Meadows was involved in the planning of efforts to subvert the results of the election, the committee asserted. In Mr. Trump’s final weeks in office, he repeatedly pushed the Justice Department to investigate unfounded conspiracy theories about the 2020 presidential election, according to emails provided to Congress, portions of which were reviewed by The New York Times.

Mr. Meadows was also in communication with organizers of the rally on Jan. 6 that preceded the violence, including Amy Kremer of Women for America First, the committee said.

Mr. Scavino was in contact with Mr. Trump and others who planned the rallies that preceded the violence of Jan. 6, and met with Mr. Trump on Jan. 5 to discuss how to persuade members of Congress not to certify the election for President Biden, the committee said.

Mr. Scavino promoted the Jan. 6 March for Trump on Twitter, encouraging people to “be a part of history.” Records indicate that Mr. Scavino was tweeting messages from the White House on Jan. 6, according to the panel.

Mr. Patel was serving as chief of staff to acting Secretary of Defense Christopher C. Miller during the attack, after Mr. Trump appointed him to replace Mark T. Esper as the top Pentagon official. According to documents provided by the Defense Department and published accounts, Mr. Patel was involved in discussions among senior Pentagon officials before and during the attack regarding security at the Capitol. Mr. Patel also was reportedly in constant contact with Mr. Meadows the day of the assault, the committee said.

The committee said it was scrutinizing reporting that the former president attempted to install Mr. Patel as deputy director of the C.I.A. in early December, a plan abandoned after Gina Haspel, the director

Biden’s Multi-Trillion-Dollar Spending Plans & Tax Hikes Will Have 3 Devastating Economic Consequences, New Study Warns

Here are the three main ways Biden’s plans would hurt, not help, Americans’ economic fortunes.

1. Weaker Economic Growth
For one, the study concludes that the Biden tax-and-spend proposals would lead to $3 trillion less in total economic output over the next decade. This figure is abstract, but think of it like this: trillions of dollars worth of goods and services will never get produced for the American public to consume.

2. Lower Worker Compensation
Similarly, workers would suffer, not prosper, under the proposed agenda. The economists find that workers would see a $1.6 trillion loss in compensation over a decade. That’s more than $10,000 in lost earnings per worker, on average.

3. Declining Standard of Living
When taking all the various aspects of the plan into account, the study concludes that lifetime living standards would drop 4 percent for young workers. This is analyzed using their projected consumption levels of goods and services.

...

It might not be immediately apparent why a multi-trillion-dollar spending scheme would hurt the economy when, after all, it’s intended as a “stimulus.” Thankfully, the study’s authors explain just that.

“This massive spending increase will divert resources from the economy’s productive sector, and it will be partly financed by punitive, class-warfare taxes that penalize work, saving, investment, and entrepreneurship,” they write. “This tax-and-spend agenda will accelerate America’s fiscal decline and undermine economic performance.”

Simply put, understanding the full impact of Biden’s multi-trillion-dollar proposals requires looking beyond the easily visible, first-order effects. Yes, some Americans would benefit from the various spending proposals or see cash windfalls from different subsidies and schemes. Yet what proponents of big government get wrong is that they fail to look beyond the easily seen benefits of their proposals.

The resources allocated through these various schemes cannot be created out of thin air. Ultimately, redistribution schemes do exactly that: redistribute resources, not create them. A dollar spent on electric vehicle subsidies, for example, ultimately means less money invested or spent in the private sector.

Still, couldn’t the distribution lead to more productive outcomes? It’s unlikely, if not impossible. Under redistributive schemes, resources are allocated through politics and government bureaucracy; a recipe for fraud, and waste. However, when left to the private sector, resources are allocated according to their most profitable use, which ensures that they go to the places where they are in the highest demand.

Which sounds more efficient to you?

And that’s not even mentioning the myriad economic consequences of the many new taxes proposed to accompany the spending. As the new study’s authors explain, the harm from such massive and punitive tax hikes would far outweigh any benefits of the spending itself.

Of course, don’t expect politicians like President Biden to acknowledge these economic realities any time soon. Promises of prosperity and cash-handouts for all are political winners, after all. Yet if these schemes come to fruition, American taxpayers and workers will be the ultimate losers.

Biden can harness the energy around Afghan refugees to make the US more welcoming

Many refugee advocates see the discrepancy in some Americans’ attitudes toward Afghan refugees and asylum seekers arriving at the southern border as the result of an education gap.

O’Mara Vignarajah said that she still gets questions about why a family would risk making the treacherous, 1,000-mile journey north from the Northern Triangle with a toddler. She has to explain that they feel it’s a better alternative to the certain death they would face if they stayed.

She said that she has even had conversations with members of Congress who, while being staunch advocates for Afghan refugees, describe asylum seekers at the southern border as “illegals,” even though those people are legally entitled to claim asylum.

Those kinds of comments are rooted in a misunderstanding of the kind of circumstances that asylum seekers are fleeing and that, in effect, they are looking for the same protection as refugees. Denise Bell, a researcher for refugee and migrant rights at Amnesty International, said that she boils down the distinction to where they ask for protection: For an asylum seeker, it’s on US soil; for a refugee, it’s abroad.

Bell said that it’s not so much that Americans are inherently opposed to offering protection to people arriving on the southern border. They just don’t see them as a vulnerable population equivalent to refugees. The more Americans have experiences with refugees and asylum seekers, the more immigrant advocates can begin to close that education gap, Bell said.

On one hand, Biden has taken some steps to facilitate that contact. For instance, he’s already pledged to raise the annual cap on refugee admissions from 62,500 to 125,000 starting in October (still short of the 200,000 that advocates and progressives in Congress have called for). He is also seeking to create a private refugee sponsorship program, which would allow private organizations and groups to financially support even more refugees for resettlement in the US.

But on the other hand, the Biden administration continues to deny migrants arriving on the border the opportunity to seek humanitarian protections to which they may be entitled.

The president has clung to pandemic-related border restrictions, known as the Title 42 policy, implemented by the Trump administration last year. Since March 2020, that policy has been used to rapidly expel more than a million migrants without hearings before an immigration judge. A federal judge partially blocked the policy, effective September 30, and the Biden administration has appealed that decision.

The administration is also preparing to detain migrants at facilities in Guantanamo Bay should there be a surge of migration at the southern border. (Though administration officials told NBC they had no intention of sending Haitians arriving at the border to the facilities, the administration is seeking to hire guards who speak Creole.)

Overall, Biden could do more to change American’s perceptions — beginning by creating clarity around what constitutes a problem that merits asylum or refugee status and consistent standards for who can seek those statuses.

As things stand, it might be hard for Americans to recognize that migrants on the border are also worthy of protection for as long as Trump-era policies remain in place and Biden continues to implore them not to come.

But refugee advocates see the current crisis with Afghan refugees as an opportunity to inform a broader, more attentive audience.

“This is the moment where, in the short-term, we help all the tens of thousands of Afghan refugees who will be arriving,” she said. “But this is also the moment to create a movement of welcome. This is about everybody. Right now we start here, but it’s about everybody.”

President Biden bit off too much, too fast in trying to ram through what would be the largest social expansion in American history, top Democrats privately say.

Why it matters: At the time Biden proposed it, he had his mind set on a transformational accomplishment that would put him in the pantheon of FDR and JFK.

Democrats, controlling two branches of government, saw a once-in-a-lifetime opening. In retrospect, some top advisers say this should have been done in smaller chunks.

An outside White House adviser said: "Reality is setting in that you can’t pass a $3.5 trillion package. It’s going to get scaled back. The question is whether it can be done this year."

In branding some Democrats wish had started months ago, White House chief of staff Ron Klain said Sept. 15 at the SALT financial conference in New York: "The net cost of Build Back Better is zero."

The $3.5 trillion price tag covers the 10-year cost of Biden's infrastructure plans, plus massive social spending, including pre-K for all 3- and 4- years olds, and two years of tuition-free community college.

Biden needs to show lawmakers on the left he's with him on topics like this, when he's being pulled to the right on immigration. The proposal was always an opening bid. The White House points out that the final figure is still being negotiated.

But the big number stuck and is the near-universal way Biden's plans are described.

The New York Times' David Leonhardt said on CNN earlier this month that the price "highlights a political weakness of how the Biden administration ... They haven't given anyone any other way of selling the bill because it's sort of such a hodgepodge of different things."

The White House points to polling showing the components of Build Back Better are popular, and emphasizes $3.5 trillion as a "gross investment figure" that'll be paid for through tax increases.

White House spokesman Andrew Bates told us:

"The American public overwhelmingly supports the Build Back Better Act because the through line of all its policies is that they will ensure our economy delivers for middle class families, not just those at the top. The bill's price tag is $0 because it will be paid for by ending failed, special tax giveaways for the richest taxpayers and big corporations, adding nothing to the debt. 17 Nobel Prize winners in economics have affirmed the plan will grow our economy by helping families get ahead while guarding against inflation for the long haul."

Thomas Caldwell’s wife awakened him in a panic at 5:30 a.m. on January 19.

“The FBI is at the door and I’m not kidding,” Sharon Caldwell told her husband.

Caldwell, 66, clad only in his underwear, went to see what was happening outside his Virginia farm. “There was a full SWAT team, armored vehicles with a battering ram, and people screaming at me,” Caldwell told me during a lengthy phone interview on September 21. “People who looked like stormtroopers were pointing M4 weapons at me, covering me with red [laser] dots.”

Agents demanded that Caldwell, a former lieutenant commander in the U.S. Navy who suffers from debilitating service-related spinal injuries, come outside and lay down in the grass.

“Someone grabbed my legs and dragged me through the grass. They threw me face down on the hood of the car, kicked my legs apart, put a chain around my waist and put me in handcuffs.” Caldwell said he looked up to see Sharon, his wife of 22 years, dressed in her nightgown holding her hands up with a sock in either hand. She, too, was covered in red dots from the weapons aimed at her. Sharon, 61, begged to put on her socks before they forced her outside in the cold. “I said a prayer, ‘Father, please don’t let them kill my wife,’” Caldwell said through sobs.

Caldwell was forced into the back of a police car for nearly 40 minutes; he asked several times what he was being charged with but FBI agents refused to answer. Eventually, Caldwell was led back toward his house. “I have a [collector] ’63 Thunderbird in my garage as a reminder of my grandfather, a retired Army colonel. An agent kicked one of the doors open and was leaning with his battle gear up against the car, scratching it up.”

Once inside, Caldwell saw that his wife “was still alive.” He was interrogated for at least two hours and realized the raid was tied to his participation in the January 6 protest in Washington, D.C.

Agents read what he called a “version” of his Miranda rights; he consented to the interview without an attorney present. Caldwell told me something I’ve heard repeatedly from January 6 defendants as to why they easily cooperated with the FBI: “I didn’t have anything to hide.”

Roughly 20 agents raided the Caldwell home, taking every electronic device including old computers and hard drives. This included Caldwell’s downloaded copies of cherished pictures. “They took every family photo we have.”

Agents then transported Caldwell to the Central Virginia Regional Jail in Orange, Virginia, two hours from their home. He thought he would be booked and released.

Instead, it was just the start of what he called “an American horror story.”

...

I asked Caldwell what he thought about the fact the founder of Oath Keepers and lead unindicted co-conspirator in the government’s biggest January 6 case hasn’t yet been charged. “I’m as curious as anyone on the outside looking in,” he said.

For now, the Caldwells are trying to resume a normal life as they await a trial that won’t begin until mid-2022 at the earliest. Unlike many January 6 defendants, the Caldwells have received an outpouring of support from their friends and community.

“We believe truth will prevail. I have great faith in the American people,” Caldwell told me.

Sharon Caldwell was more direct. “We won’t let the bad guys win.”

LMAO:

Democrats appear to have the inside track in the upcoming special election for the Cheshire County District 14 House seat, but they’re not taking any chances. That means plenty of door knocking, lots of fundraising and — erasing Joe Biden?

A campaign push by the Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee on behalf of its nominee, Harrisville’s Andrew Maneval, describes him as “a community leader, small business owner, and former chair of the Harrisville Broadband Committee.” It features a photo of him looking ruggedly handsome in a sweatshirt and jacket.

But the original of that photo, taken in October of last year and obtained by NHJournal, shows someone photo-shopped a Biden-Harris logo off the shirt and out of the image.

What happened?

Neither the DLCC nor Maneval responded to repeated requests for comments from NHJournal.

Given that Biden defeated Donald Trump in the four towns in the district — Dublin, Harrisville, Jaffrey and Roxbury — by 27 percent of the vote last November, hiding Biden may seem an odd strategy.

However, the Biden of 2020 is not the Biden of 2021. A recent Granite State Poll conducted by the University of New Hampshire Survey Center shows he’s underwater with New Hampshire voters 46 percent approve/53 percent disapprove.

On Wednesday, the new Gallup poll hit with the headline, “Biden’s Approval Rating Hits New Low of 43%.”

“Independents have shown the greatest variation in their opinions of how Biden is doing. Biden’s current 37% approval rating among independents is his lowest to date and 24 points below his personal high of 61%,” Gallup’s Megan Brenan wrote.

“Among elected presidents since World War II, only Trump has had a lower job approval rating than Biden does at a similar point in their presidencies,” Brenan added.

The reason for Biden’s bad poll numbers is no secret. He’s committed a series of high-profile blunders, from leaving Americans behind Taliban lines in his botched pullout from Afghanistan to the flood of migrants flowing across the southern border in record numbers to the mishandling of COVID-19 messaging as infection rates soar.

To be clear, the photo was posted by the DLCC, not the Maneval campaign it supports. However, the DLCC is one of the most significant players in New Hampshire House races, spending tens of thousands of dollars in each of the special elections thus far this year.

Draft report of GOP-backed ballot review in Arizona confirms Biden’s win

Workers hired by a private firm prepare to examine Maricopa County’s ballots on May 3 in Phoenix. (Courtney Pedroza/For The Washington Post)

The ultimate findings will cap a costly and drawn-out recount launched by the GOP-led Arizona Senate that had been championed by former president Donald Trump and kept alive false claims that fraud tainted the election in the state’s most populous county. The process was pilloried by election experts who warned that the methods used by the firm hired to run the review were sloppy and biased.
After nearly six months and almost $6 million — most of it given by groups that cast doubt on the election results — the draft report shows that the review concluded that 45,469 more ballots were cast for Biden in Maricopa County than for Trump, widening Biden’s margin by 360 more votes than certified results.

Leftists are always calling for higher taxes, yet they never pay their own:

Democrat President Joe Biden, who has repeatedly demanded that the wealthy “pay their fair share” in taxes, may owe up to $500,000 in back taxes, according to a lawmaker’s analysis of a new non-partisan congressional report.

The report comes as Biden is pushing his party to pass a massive $3.5 trillion bill that has been widely criticized as a leftist wish list, which comes as inflation rates have skyrocketed under Biden’s presidency. The report also comes as Biden is trying to beef up the IRS by $80 billion to crack down on what he claims are people not paying their taxes.

The New York Post reports:

A House Ways and Means Committee draft of the bill would end the accounting trick apparently exploited by Biden and boost IRS funding for audits — but the new report, drafted by the Congressional Research Service and provided to The Post, suggests Biden owes taxes under current rules, according to the congressman who requested it.

Just like the commie twat who designed AOC's "Tax The Rich" dress.

So let's all jump on the "RAISE TAXES!!!" bandwagon. The trick is to just not pay them.

Whee!

WASHINGTON, D.C.—Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez took the fight to tax the wealthy to the streets today with the unveiling of her custom-made, $100,000 "Tax the Rich" Tesla.

The limited-edition, high-end electric car sports a custom "Tax the Rich" decal designed by a wealthy millionaire socialist. Ocasio-Cortez says she hopes it will make a "powerful statement" about wealth inequality in our society while she's driving around town or illegally parked in front of Whole Foods picking up $8 kombuchas. Only 500 of them will be released, as it's "very exclusive" and "only for people who are very, like, serious about taxing the rich and who can afford it. We don't want riffraff promoting this message, you know."

"We need to like, tax the rich, and, like, make sure they pay their fair share," AOC said to reporters as she unveiled the custom car in front of her posh D.C. apartment, complete with leather couches, expensive rugs, and even a garbage disposal. "When I'm driving through D.C. to my appointments with rich lobbyists and stuff, I'm totally going to just massively own the rich with this thing. They'll be like, 'Oh man, she's right! We should be taxed!' as I fly by them in the express lane."

After her team-up with Tesla to release the custom model, Ocasio-Cortez says she is working on a custom "Tax the Rich" Bentley, a "Tax the Rich" Gulfstream, and a private island terraformed to read "Tax the Rich."

https://talknest.com/2021/09/democrats-walk-away-from-negotiating-police-reform-bill-after-republicans-reject-stripped-down-offer/

Scott is trying to blame Democrats for walking away, saying, “After months of making progress, I am deeply disappointed that Democrats have once again squandered a crucial opportunity to implement meaningful reform to make our neighborhoods safer and mend the tenuous relationship between law enforcement and communities of color.” But he’s the one who demanded concession after concession—and wasn’t satisfied, despite getting many of those concessions.

Ultimately, though, Democrats had a bottom line, a place beyond which they weren’t willing to concede. After Scott rejected what NBC News describes as a “drastically scaled-back proposal,” Booker and Bass decided that their months of work had failed.

The CNN Cuomo is an ass grabbing pervert

I was Mr. Cuomo’s executive producer at “Primetime Live” just before that. I was at the party with my husband, who sat behind me on an ottoman sipping his Diet Coke as I spoke with work friends. When Mr. Cuomo entered the Upper West Side bar, he walked toward me and greeted me with a strong bear hug while lowering one hand to firmly grab and squeeze the cheek of my buttock.

“I can do this now that you’re no longer my boss,” he said to me with a kind of cocky arrogance. “No you can’t,” I said, pushing him off me at the chest while stepping back, revealing my husband, who had seen the entire episode at close range. We quickly left.

The $3.5 Trillion Bill Corporate America is Terrified OfRight now, Democrats are working to pass a $3.5 trillion package that will provide long overdue help for working Americans.

The final bill hasn’t yet been determined, so we don’t know the exact dollar amounts for all its policies. We’ll probably find that out in late September or early October. For now, the Democrats’ budget resolution frames what’s in the bill.

First, on families:

The bill would make permanent key benefits for working families, including the expanded child tax credit in the pandemic relief plan that sends families up to $300 per child each month but is now set to expire in December, and is estimated to cut child poverty by half.

It would also establish universal child care, for which low- and middle-income households would pay no more than 7 percent of their incomes.

And provide a national program of paid leave — worth up to $4,000 a month — for workers who take time off because they are ill or caring for a relative.

Next, on education:

The bill would reduce educational inequality by establishing universal pre-K for all 3- and 4-year-olds, benefiting an estimated 5 million children, and providing tuition-free community college – essentially expanding free public education from 12 years to 16 years.

It will also invest in historically Black colleges and universities and increase the maximum amount of Pell grants for students from lower-income families.

On health care:

The bill expands Medicare to include dental, vision, and hearing benefits and lowers the eligibility age. It also expands Medicaid to cover people living in the 12 states that have not yet expanded Medicaid, and makes critical investments to improve healthcare for people of color.

The big question is how far it will go to reduce prescription drug prices by, for example, allowing Medicare to negotiate prices with pharmaceutical companies. That could reduce Medicare and Medicaid spending, and free up more money for other parts of the bill. But Big Pharma is dead-set against this.

Big corporations and the rich picking up the tab:

In another step toward fairness, all of these are to be financed by higher taxes on the rich and big corporations.

The bill would also increase the Internal Revenue Service’s funding so the agency can properly audit wealthy tax cheats, who fail to report about a fifth of their income every year, thereby costing the government $105 billion annually.

In addition, the bill tackles the climate crisis, which also especially burdens lower-income Americans:

There are a range of solutions – subsidizing the use of solar, wind, nuclear and other forms of clean energy while financially penalizing the use of dirty energy like coal; helping families pay for electric cars and energy-efficient homes.

The bill might include something known as a carbon border adjustment tax — a tax on imports whose production was carbon-intensive, like many from China.

The bill would also establish a Civilian Climate Corps, and invest in communities that bear the brunt of the climate crisis.

And the bill helps American workers:

It will hopefully contain much of the PRO Act, the toughest labor law reform in a generation.

Finally, the bill includes a pathway to citizenship for undocumented immigrants.
This is all about making America fairer.

Remember: we won’t know the exact details of the bill for at least a month, but these are the main areas that it will focus on. The big challenge will be ensuring Senate Democrats remain united to get it passed. All of us will need to fight like hell.

Don’t listen to spending hawks who claim it’s too expensive or too radical. For far too long, our government has ignored the needs of everyday Americans, catering instead to the demands of corporations and the super-rich. No more.

It’s time to get this landmark bill passed and build a fairer America.

Coldheartedtruth Teller said...

Increasing education is a significant factor.

Higher level education people get better jobs and again pay taxes!

Replacing oil as the primary source of electricity will pay for itself, as new corporate business permanently deliver clean energy!

Building the infrastructure for that system alone can create millions of union jobs.

"There’s hardly any words that are camera appropriate," witness Lisa Ward said of the incident. "It’s just sickening."

Oklahoma City Police arrested the suspect, Michael Coghill, on Wednesday, after he was recorded on camera touching a nine-year-old boy at a bus stop and was confronted by the boy’s father, according to News9. The police department, however, could not confirm to Fox News that the boy's father was the one to confront the suspect due to the Open Records Act.

Local residents said that Coghill is a local pastor in the area.
