Apparently Dems wrong on most everything these days?

New Study Significantly Undermines Government Justification for Vaccine Mandates
People inoculated against Covid-19 are just as likely to spread the delta variant of the virus to contacts in their household as those who haven’t had shots, according to new research. In a yearlong study of 621 people in the U.K. with mild Covid-19, scientists found that their peak viral load was similar regardless of vaccination status, according to a paper published Thursday in The Lancet Infectious Diseases medical journal…
…“Our findings show that vaccination alone is not enough to prevent people from being infected with the delta variant and spreading it in household settings,” said Ajit Lalvani, a professor of infectious diseases at Imperial College London who co-led the study. “The ongoing transmission we are seeing between vaccinated people makes it essential for unvaccinated people to get vaccinated to protect themselves.

So this does not necessarily undermine the idea of getting the vaccine for your own protection. But the false claims that someone else's choice of vaccination status effects others seems to be rather unjustified. Apparently I can pass along the Delta variant as a fully vaccinated person as easily as someone who has not taken the shots. So while it might help me from not getting the virus, it doesn't help anyone else who is afraid I might pass the virus along.

This sort of explains to some degree why we are not seeing any real improvement in our Covid results. In fact, we are currently still doing worse than we were a year ago in both cases and deaths. This is likely due to our overly aggressive reliance on the vaccine being the silver bullet, with an even greater amount of aggression against any other forms of protection against the virus. We've quite literally gone all in on the idea that vaccines and paper masks are the ONLY manners to fight Covid and that any other suggestions need to be beaten down.

When your only strategy is being proven not to work, and you refuse to consider anything else. Generally speaking you will not succeed.

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Food and Drug Administration on Friday paved the way for children ages 5 to 11 to get Pfizer's COVID-19 vaccine.

The FDA cleared kid-size doses — just a third of the amount given to teens and adults — for emergency use, and up to 28 million more American children could be eligible for vaccinations as early as next week.

One more regulatory hurdle remains: On Tuesday, advisers to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention will make more detailed recommendations on which youngsters should get vaccinated, with a final decision by the agency’s director expected shortly afterwards.

“With this vaccine kids can go back to something that’s better than being locked at home on remote schooling, not being able to see their friends,” said Dr. Kawsar Talaat of Johns Hopkins University. “The vaccine will protect them and also protect our communities.”

The Food and Drug Administration on Friday authorized Pfizer and BioNTech's coronavirus vaccine for children five to 11 years old.

Why it matters: All that remains to expand vaccine access to some of the youngest Americans is approval from the CDC.

Since it's a two-shot series spaced three weeks apart, children won't by fully vaccinated by Thanksgiving, but could be by Christmas and New Year's.CDC approval is expected as early as next Tuesday.

Approval from acting FDA commissioner Janet Woodcock comes after members of the FDA's vaccine expert panel endorsed Pfizer and BioNTech's vaccine for kids in that age group.

Pfizer and BioNTech said in a study given to and published by the FDA earlier this month that their vaccine was more than 90% effective at protecting children ages 5–11 from symptomatic infections from the virus.

The big picture: Moderna, which is also expected to soon seek authorization from the FDA for use in 5-to-11-year-olds, released results for its vaccine earlier this month that showed it provided a "robust" immune response in kids after two doses.

Thecoldheartedtruth is the President is competent.

Biden administration said it has acquired enough vaccine supply to allow more than 25,000 pediatric and primary care offices, hundreds of school and community health clinics and tens of thousands of pharmacies to administer the shots to kids in that age group once a vaccine is fully approved.

A study from Johns Hopkins University this summer showed that vaccinated immunocompromised people were 485 times more likely to end up in the hospital or die from Covid-19 compared to most vaccinated people. In small studies, the CDC said, fully vaccinated immunocompromised people accounted for about 44% of the breakthrough cases that required hospitalization. People who are immunocompromised are also more likely to transmit the virus to people who had close contact with them.

The US Food and Drug Administration has also authorized booster shots of all three available vaccines for certain people and that would include the immune compromised, the CDC says.

Research showed that a booster dose enhanced the antibody response to the vaccine in certain immunocompromised people.

Any bets as to when the push for the “patriotic duty” to get booster shots will begin, even though the most seriously impacted people infected with COVID are the elderly or those who are obese or have dangerous preexisting conditions?

Bottom up is is actually working! Even with inflation rates rising..but

WASHINGTON (AP) — Wages jumped in the three months ending in September by the most on records dating back 20 years, a stark illustration of the growing ability of workers to demand higher pay from companies that are desperate to fill a near-record number of available jobs.

Pay increased 1.5% in the third quarter, the Labor Department said Friday. That’s up sharply from 0.9% in the previous quarter. The value of benefits rose 0.9% in the July-September quarter, more than double the preceding three months.

Workers have gained the upper hand in the job market for the first time in at least two decades, and they are commanding higher pay, more benefits, and other perks like flexible work hours. With more jobs available than there are unemployed people, government data shows, businesses have been forced to work harder to attract staff.

Higher inflation is eating away at some of the wage increases, but in recent months overall pay has kept up with rising prices. The 1.5% increase in wages and salaries in the third quarter is ahead of the 1.2% increase in inflation during that period, economists said.

That's why we need to get rid of right to work for less legislation ♧♧♧♧♧♧♧♧♧♧♧♧♧♧♧♧♧♧♧♧♧♤♤♤♤♡♡♡¡¡

Pay has to increase to keep up with inflation. If wage increase are less than inflation, then the entire country takes a pay cut.

Here We Go Again: Mark Levin Insists Terry McAuliffe is Plotting to ‘Steal the Election’
By Joe DePaolo
Mediaite

Just days ahead of the vote in the race for Virginia governor, Mark Levin is sharing a conspiracy theory
that Democratic candidate Terry McAuliffe is plotting to “steal the election.”

In comments on his syndicated radio show Thursday (flagged by the progressive watchdog group Media Matters), the conservative host floated the wild allegation to his audience.

“And I will tell you now that Terry McAuliffe is preparing to try and steal the election,” Levin said.

The host cited a Fox News article that noted that McAuliffe has hired a law firm founded by Marc Elias, an attorney who has been involved in a number of prominent election challenges over the years.

Levin referenced former Senator Al Franken (D-MN), who retained Elias and was successful in his election challenge, winning by 312 votes.

“So they’re going to try and steal the election,” Levin said.

It's done.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi pulled the plug on a vote for President Joe Biden's $550 billion infrastructure bill for the second time in a month , as scores of progressives refused to back it without a $1.75 trillion social-spending bill clearing the Senate.

It capped a frenzied week of activity on Capitol Hill that saw Democrats leave Biden empty-handed as he departed for a major climate summit in Scotland. The president hoped he could tout domestic achievements back home to demonstrate America was serious about fighting the climate emergency.

For weeks, Democratic leaders tried to reach an agreement on a skinny social-spending plan containing the bulk of Biden's agenda with Sens. Joe Manchin of West Virginia and Kyrsten Sinema of Arizona, a pair of centrist holdouts. It led the party to dramatically curtail its economic ambitions to win the two critical votes, jettisoning provisions like paid leave and tuition-free community college from the package.

Biden traveled to Capitol Hill to personally urge Democrats to end their squabbling and get behind the latest social-spending framework unveiled on Thursday . House Democrats later released the 1,684 page bill, which economists argue will create jobs and cut costs for families.

It would set up universal pre-K, renew monthly cash payments to the vast majority of American families for another year, expand Medicare so it covers hearing, transition the US onto cleaner energy sources and provide child-care subsidies. It's paid for with a collection of tax hikes on the rich and large firms, including a corporate minimum tax and a new surtax on multimillionaires.

"We badly need a vote on both of these measures," Biden privately told House Democrats, according to a person familiar with his remarks. "I don't think it's hyperbole to say that the House and Senate majorities and my presidency will be determined by what happens in the next week."

But Biden's pitch to dislodge the infrastructure bill landed with a thud.

Amy Barett is a RINO now

WASHINGTON – The Supreme Court on Friday declined to block a vaccine mandate for health care workers in Maine over objections that it doesn't include a religious exemption, the latest example of the high court steering clear of the issue.

The suit focused specifically on the lack of a religious exemption. The court's ruling, which came over the objection of three of its conservatives, allows the state requirement to remain in place while litigation continues.

In a concurring opinion, Associate Justice Amy Coney Barrett noted the court has "discretionary judgment" about whether to take an emergency appeal like the Maine case. Without that, she wrote, "applicants could use the emergency docket to force the court" to give a "merits preview in cases" on a "short fuse." The court's emergency docket has come under considerable criticism in recent weeks for doing exactly that.

Roger...

The problem with the entire "big lie" argument is that it is nothing more than a thinly veiled attempt to silence the widely held view that there 2020 was riddled with election problems.

From a purely statistical and mathematical standpoint there were things that simply cannot be explained away no matter how many time someone shouts at the top of their lungs "big lie".

Big lie, big lie, big lie... say it as many times as you want. You look like a fool who simply doesn't like the fact that your opinion is not universally accepted.

Moreover, using the term "big lie" or calling allegations of election fraud "unfounded" is not an argument. In fact it's a flat out lie to claim fraud was "unfounded" as it was proven in many situations over and over. The Maricopa audit found 50,000 ballots that had simple basic problems, including thousands of ballots counted from people no longer living in Maricopa county (and in some case not even living in the state). A Wisconsin sheriff has just announced that a cursory local examination suggests that election officials broke numerous laws in that state. Some of them felonies. I can point to statistical anomalies that nobody bothers to explain in at least three other states.

Rather than address this or engage in any defense... you simply shout "big lie" and "unfounded" until you are blue in the face, and expect people will wilt under the pressure of being called a name.

Call me whatever you want, Roger.

Obviously you cannot argue the facts, so name calling and rhetoric is all you have. I can provide statistical evidence and you will counter with "big lie" like a wind up doll with your liberal gaslighters just pulling your string and letting it snap back.

Sorry Ace. But trying to stifle dissent is not the normal play of people who are confident that they can win the argument on merit. Name calling and silly rhetoric is further proof that the side who screams "big lie" actually has nothing better to offer.
