They'll take your guns, they'll make you show a vaccine passport, and now they vow to come after your car!

Not sure where on earth Joe Biden thought this was a winning play

President Joseph R. Biden Jr. said...

Last four years, you’d hear every month is, you know, infrastructure month. Didn’t do a single damn thing — nothing, I mean nothing for four years. We can’t afford to sit while other countries pass us by.

We are not coming after your cars or bicycles. Like they said on Fox news

Don't get fooled again and again!

We will rebuild the interesate freeways built under Dwight Eisenhower, the last real Republican in the last century.

By now, it has become painfully clear that many big businesses no longer side with employees or customers and have eagerly embraced the left's ideas.  They are now active and willing participants in the destruction of America.

This is easily seen by the fact that many big businesses, eagerly and without reservation, have embraced the federal vaccine mandate despite no actual published rules having been put in place.  All it took to achieve vast compliance was the president yelling at the unvaccinated and telling America that his patience was wearing thin.  (He was promptly, thereafter, escorted away for milk and cookies.)  The mere threat was enough to cause some of the largest businesses in the country to abandon the rights of their employees and institute arbitrary deadlines for vaccination — those unwilling to adjust to the new reality of their employers deciding their medical choices were faced with the threat of firing, full speed ahead, "my body my choice" be damned.  Nothing says American freedom and grit like corporations and businesses giving into the Executive Office's whims and distractions without so much as a whimper — an unconditional surrender, and without even seeing any published implementation guidance on the mandate.

It is obvious that it was coming.  It was in the smoky air, blowing across America from the burned-out ruins of our inner cities.  Corporations and big businesses freely gave their tithes and offerings and performed their black-boxed acts of self-flagellation and contrition to the "mostly peaceful" organizations that spent the "summer of love" looting and pillaging America for its own good.  It hurt them more than it did us, they tell us, but that's just the thing about it: sometimes "love" means doing the hard thing, like burning police stations or looting.

A Dixiecrat candidate named George Wallace said the same damn thing.

You are spreading false information because of your bullshit feelings about anyone who says NO to you.

Corporations Pull Out the Long Knives for Their Employees

It is obvious that it was coming.  It was in the smoky air, blowing across America from the burned-out ruins of our inner cities.  Corporations and big businesses freely gave their tithes and offerings and performed their black-boxed acts of self-flagellation and contrition to the "mostly peaceful" organizations that spent the "summer of love" looting and pillaging America for its own good.  It hurt them more than it did us, they tell us, but that's just the thing about it: sometimes "love" means doing the hard thing, like burning police stations or looting businesses.  Knowing that their penance could never satiate the guilt of their sins of living in a capitalist society, and there being no mediator to redeem them of their guilt, corporations sought indulgences by moving their All-Star game and taking bold stances against states that merely wanted trustworthy elections.  But it wasn't enough.

Putting their religious practices aside and returning to their embrace of mandates, one can see how far the corporations have fallen, how deep their depravity has become.

All you have is Trump.

It’s worth noting that the Republican Party went into 2016 with a set of democratic principles. It passed a national platform that looked fairly similar to those of previous cycles, with calls for a limited government, a robust military, reduced business regulation, lower taxes and other long-standing party commitments. And at least up until the spring of 2016, quite a few prominent party members and conservative thought leaders strongly opposed the candidacy of Donald Trump, in no small part because they questioned his commitment to this platform.

Four years later, the party, for the first time in its 166-year history, passed no platform at all. It instead issued a brief memo saying it supported Trump’s re-election and whatever policies went along with that.

I have been saying that since the convention

Five members of Sen. Kyrsten Sinema’s (D-Ariz.) Veterans Advisory Council resigned this week over her opposition to multiple aspects of Democrats’ sweeping social spending bill.

In a letter released Thursday, the veterans hammered Sinema over her refusal to fully support President Biden’s Build Back Better agenda as well as her opposition to abolishing the filibuster, the 60-vote threshold for most legislation in the Senate that has consistently thwarted Democrats’ legislative priorities.

“You have become one of the principal obstacles to progress, answering to big donors rather than your own people. We shouldn’t have to buy representation from you, and your failure to stand by your people and see their urgent needs is alarming,” the five wrote in the letter, which was released by Common Defense.

They specifically cited various Democratic priorities that could be passed in the social spending bill, including
curtailing rising drug prices,
boosting employment and
expanding health care.
They also cite Democratic efforts to pass voting reforms in the face of GOP voter restrictions enacted in several states
— an effort that has hit a brick wall in the Senate due to the filibuster.

“As members of your Veterans Advisory Council for years, we’re deeply concerned by your failure to acknowledge us or seek our input. Today, we feel as though we are merely given performative titles and used as window dressing for your own image—not as resources to provide counsel on what’s best for veterans,” the group said. “Given your complete disregard for our input and your unwillingness to act on behalf of your constituents’ needs, we respectfully resign from your Veterans Advisory Council.”

Sinema faces a growing wave of rebuke from Democrats in Arizona and other erstwhile allies over opposition to the social spending package, which is being whittled down from $3.5 trillion to likely around $2 trillion.

Criticism against her was revived again this week after it was revealed that she opposes hiking taxes on wealthy individuals and corporations to pay for the package despite the tactic being popular with Democrats.

Sinema’s opposition has been thrust into the spotlight in a 50-50 Senate, where any one Democrat can sink the package, which is being passed via budget reconciliation to avoid the filibuster.

Already, groups are forming in Arizona to recruit a primary challenger for when she’s up for reelection in 2024, with progressives eyeing Rep. Ruben Gallego to run against her in a state that has become an increasingly competitive battleground since Sinema’s election in 2018.

The letter released by Common Defense complements the group’s seven-figure ad buy to push Sinema to fall in line with Democrats’ reconciliation package.

The letter by the five veterans was first reported by The New York Times.

Virginia is outside of the gravitational pull of a D.C. that voted 90+ percent for Hillary Clinton, I want those who love America to take back Virginia. But is Youngkin actually a conservative, or just another proto-RINO? I decided to find out by inviting him on my national radio show and also discover what it means for all of us, in every state of the Union.

For months my producer was given the runaround by the Youngkin campaign, despite the fact that I had met the candidate, had his personal cell, and had been told that someone very close to him confirmed that he did, indeed, want to come on the show. Eventually, after one of his team let it slip that there was a serious issue with him coming on because I had, months prior, tweeted that Youngkin’s official stance on the lack of fraud in the last election was “classic RINO,” I decided not to wait any longer and to simply discuss him on my show whether or not he called in to join me. (Remember Clint Eastwood and the empty chair?)

I didn’t “bash” the Republican candidate, but as the host of an avowedly MAGA show, I did ask the tough questions that millions of America First listeners wanted him to answer. None of my team expected what happened next.

After the break, someone called “Todd” phoned in to challenge me on air, asking why would I “attack” a true conservative like Glenn and to list all the great things Youngkin had just that day announced his commitment to pursue. Smelling a rat, I asked Todd if he worked for Youngkin. In the meantime my sterling producer was looking up the caller’s phone number which came back to someone who did in fact work on the Youngkin campaign and who’s name wasn’t, in fact, Todd. You can watch the whole hilarious exchange here.

Was “Todd” officially monitoring my show and was he ordered to call in under a fake name? That would be a real RINO move. But there was no way to know. It could just be a stupid lone actor So, we kept the pressure on Youngkin through overt and back channels, and a mutual friend who also wants to save Virginia got involved and finally it worked and Youngkin stepped up to the plate and agreed to come on AMERICA First live.

Is this because the candidate is desperate and because he’s just 4 percent behind McAuliffe in the latest polls and needs every vote? I don’t believe so. Coming on a platform to talk with a former strategist to President Trump is not what RINOs do. Ever. It takes guts and has predictable consequences, as almost immediately the most despicable and immoral uber-RINOS came out of the woodwork to viciously attack Youngkin. (Congrats Glenn: if the Lincoln Project has you in its sights, you’ve proven yourself a good guy). Youngkin’s decision and his performance impressed me. He may have RINOs working for him, but I do not believe he is one. You can see our interview here:

https://m.facebook.com/AmericaFirstGorka/videos/268452588425724/

So here’s the lesson I have drawn. Youngkin is a solid candidate but he was influenced by RINOs who focus more on tweets than issues. (Sound familiar?) He overcame the RINOs as my team and I kept the pressure on him to engage. Recently J.D. Vance was asked on live TV what will stop him becoming a RINO swamp creature if he wins his Senate race? He gave the correct reply: I won’t surround myself with the D.C. advisers and hang out with the lobbyists because that’s how you become one of them. Instead, J.D. said he will surround himself with his loved ones and the patriots who propelled him to office to represent the people of his state. Are you listening, Glenn?

President Trump will run in 2024. If he wins he will need to excise the embedded RINOs and swamp-dwellers in the capital. In the meantime all of us need to keep the pressure relentlessly on all those who say they are conservatives or Republicans, especially if they are listening to, and letting themselves be influenced by, those who care more about “mean tweets” than they do open borders, or a collapsing economy. Yes, the RINOs are too influential—but it’s up to you and me to change that.

Works for me. With Mitch back as majority the 3.5 trillion reconciliation bill with never see the light. And they may renegotiate the 1.5 trillion infrastructure bill to clean up the pork and waste.

One journalist had it right. We do infrastructure ass-backwards. We need to identify a list of projects and prioritize them. Then we go find the money.

PURPLE ARIZONA:

Kyrsten Sinema Isn’t Hitting the Panic Button. “Sinema, whose office did not respond to multiple requests for comment, is not underwater yet. She’s lost some standing among Arizona Democrats, but her approval rating is still at 56 percent, according to Noble’s most recent poll. (At this early juncture, approval polls are probably more reliable than likely-voter models.) Sinema can afford to anger the Democratic base a little, so long as she gets at least 50 percent of it in her primary race, Noble said. John McCain won only 52 percent of the GOP primary vote in his last election, in 2016, but he still won the general by 13 points. Similarly, Sinema’s power is her cross-party appeal: 42 percent of independents view her favorably, and she’s almost as popular among Republicans.”

Sinema faces very little pressure back home to get on board with Biden’s multitrillion-dollar regulatory and welfare boondoggle, and lots of reasons not to.

She’s a decent fit for Arizona moderates, but a lousy one for woke DC Democrats.

Joe Manchin is so fed up with his party’s dominant far-left wing that he has already “devised a detailed exit strategy for his departure” from the Democrats and sit in the Senate as an “American Independent.”

The big question about when/if Manchin or Sinema go independent is with which party they would caucus.

But it does seem that if McConnell and Schumer had to fight over them, both Sinema and Manchin could wield a lot more influence as independents than they can now in their radicalized party.

Neither Sinema or Manchin have anything to gain from following the Woke crowd. In fact, they both probably have much to lose. Moreover, all of the attacks and harassment and such is likely pushing them further from their Party, not closer.

But liberals at the end of the day are generally bullies. They try to pressure people to do what they want. They don't "convince them" with logic because there is very little logic with most liberal policies. Instead they silence critics, attack and harass those within their own Party who don't follow along, and eventually try to prevent the dissent with questionable legal action (like the AG is trying to do with concerned parents and rogue school boards).

President Joe Biden is returning to the campaign trail for Terry McAuliffe in the close race for Virginia governor.

McAuliffe's campaign announced Thursday that Biden will join the Democratic candidate at a Tuesday evening event in Arlington. It will be Biden's second appearance for McAuliffe, following a July rally, also in Arlington, the densely populated county outside Washington, D.C. that skews heavily Democratic.

McAuliffe's decision to bring Biden back comes as polls show the Nov. 2 election tightening between him and Republican RINO Glenn Youngkin. A survey released this week by Monmouth University found McAuliffe's earlier lead evaporating, with both candidates at 46 percent among registered voters.RINO McAuliffe has lost ground among independents and women, according to the polls. Remember that women elected President Joe Biden!

The poll also had tough numbers for Biden. A majority of respondents — 52 percent — said they disapproved of his job performance.

McAuliffe had acknowledged Biden's declining popularity in recent weeks, raising questions about whether he'd invite the president to campaign with him down the home stretch. McAuliffe, a former governor who was barred by Virginia law from serving a second consecutive term, has held events over the last week with first lady Jill Biden and former Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams. He was scheduled to campaign Thursday with Vice President Kamala Harris and Saturday with former President Barack Obama.

RINO Youngkin has been endorsed by former President Donald Trump. But the former CEO of the private equity giant Carlyle Group has no plans to rally with Trump and has avoided campaigning with other high-profile Republicans in the race's closing days. Biden beat Trump by 10 percentage points in Virginia last year.

Sinema Agrees to Some Tax Hikes

“In a major development for President Joe Biden’s agenda, Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ) has signed off on new revenues — including some tax increases on the wealthy — to help pay for Biden’s jobs and families plan,” Politico reports.

Said a source:
“Senator Sinema has agreed to provisions in each of President Biden’s four proposed revenue categories — international, domestic corporate, high net worth individuals, and tax enforcement — providing sufficient revenue to fully pay for a budget reconciliation package in the range currently being discussed.”

My, my. Who would have thunk it?

Coldheartedtruth Teller said...

President Biden said Thursday that white supremacy motivated rioters who carried out the Jan. 6 insurrection at the U.S. Capitol.

Driving the news: "The violent, deadly insurrection on the Capitol nine months ago, it was about white supremacy, in my opinion," Biden said at an event commemorating the 10-year anniversary of the Martin Luther King Jr. memorial in Washington.

Biden also mentioned the white supremacist rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, in 2017, saying: "The through line is that hate never goes away."

The big picture: Biden, who condemned efforts to restrict voting access, spoke just one day after Senate Republicans successfully filibustered a voting rights bill.

"I know progress does not come fast enough, it never has," Biden said. "The process of governing is frustrating and sometimes dispiriting. But I also know what's possible if we keep the pressure up, if we never give up, we keep the faith."

What he's saying: Biden also lamented the lack of progress in passing a police reform bill.

"I know the frustration we all feel, that more than one year after George Floyd's murder, and the conviction of his murderer about six months ago, meaningful police reform in George's name has still not passed Congress," Biden said."I remember many times meeting his little daughter. She'd say to me, my daddy's changing history."We haven't fulfilled that yet. I understand, you got to keep fighting. Let me be clear though, we're going to continue to fight for real police reform legislation."

Sanders and Manchin are emblematic of their party's two wings. While some senators have privately voiced frustration with Manchin over his lack of specificity on his goals for the social spending bill, in recent weeks he has grown more precise about his needs. There’s a widespread view within the caucus that Manchin has a track record of eventually getting on board with his party’s priorities.

Sinema has been more elusive, declining to support Democrats’ tax and pharmaceutical reform plans while saying she’s briefed Schumer and Biden extensively — though she signed off on some tax proposals Thursday afternoon that is another sign of a big breakthrough may be in the works.

“I am surprised that there’s anybody in the United States Senate not prepared to do what the American people want. And that is: Demand that the wealthiest people in the country pay their fair share,” Sanders told reporters on Thursday afternoon.

“Do what the American people want and they want us now to lower the outrageous cost of prescription drugs … I would hope Sen. Sinema does what the people of Arizona want," Sanders added.

Notably, Manchin supports raising corporate tax rates and income tax rates on the wealthy as well as allowing Medicare to negotiate drug prices.
