The White House officials are scared!

For the 85 minutes that he was under anesthesia, Vice President Kamala Harris assumed the powers of the commander-in-chief, but if voters have anything to do with it, it’s the closest she’ll come to the top job.

The Cackler’s poll numbers have sunk even lower than Biden’s — just 28 percent approval in the latest USA Today-Suffolk University poll, a full 10 points below Biden’s abysmal 38 percent. That same poll found that the No. 1 item on the wish list voters have for Biden in the next year is for him to resign or retire.

Needless to say, Democratic strategists are panicking,

That’s why the Washington Post claimed over the weekend that the president “and members of his inner circle have reassured allies in recent days that he plans to run for reelection in 2024.”

Why would anyone be “reassured” that a 79-year-old, cognitively lethargic candidate, whose poll ratings are down the drain, wants to run again?

The answer is ABK. Anyone But Kamala is preferable, and for the moment, that means Biden has to remain as notional place holder.

The ruse has done nothing to stop the ambitious jockeying of the honey-voiced secretary of transportation, Pete Buttigieg. A big clue that he is the favored contender is the sudden avalanche of hagiographical material, including a new Amazon documentary, “Mayor Pete,” that charts his 2020 presidential bid.

He’s not only the first openly gay presidential candidate, he’s also a newlywed,” is the opening gush.

It doesn’t matter to Beltway media that Buttigieg was AWOL in the middle of the supply chain crisis. In the most crucial test of his portfolio, he took two months’ paternity leave to help care for two surrogate babies he and his husband chose to adopt at that time.

But he seems to be a Biden favorite. When pardoning a pair of turkeys named Peanut Butter and Jelly on Friday, Biden gratuitously mentioned the absent Buttigieg: “I’m sorry for Pete and Chasten,” he quipped. “Peanut Butter and Jelly are now the new Indiana power couple.”

Buttigieg then tweeted a father-son picture of himself with Biden’s arm around his shoulder: “Grateful to serve under your leadership”

Ax-Wielding Antifa Member Attacks GOP Senator's Office, Dems Give Him Money, FBI Returns Ax

Far-left miscreant Thomas Alexander Starks, 31, of Lisbon, North Dakota, pleaded guilty to destruction of government property last April. Starks brought an ax to Sen. John Hoeven’s office in Fargo on December 21, 2020, and smashed an intercom and glass door. The attack was captured on video.

Federal guidelines suggested Starks should spend 10–16 months in the hoosegow, but because he is a protected member of Antifa, he was sentenced to mere probation and ordered to pay $2,784 in restitution.

Keep in mind that there are people still in solitary confinement for taking non-violent selfies in the Capitol on January 6.

Even better, the FBI returned the ax he used in the attack. Starks is bragging about it on Facebook, where he goes by the name “Paul Dunyan,” a reference to the axman Paul Bunyan.

Starks openly admits to being a member of Antifa and has a history of threatening violence online. In one picture, Starks is seen wearing a Socialist Rifle t-shirt. Socialist Rifle is a left-wing fringe group that had communicated with Antifa mass shooter Connor Betts before he murdered nine people in Dayton, Ohio, back in 2019.

A far more important situation is being handled well. The Chinese government wants to invade Taiwan. Sleepy Joe is getting allies like NATO after World War two.

The Hill reports.

China is reportedly furious over the Biden administration's decision to invite Taiwan to a first-ever "Summit for Democracy" next month, with Chinese officials blasting the U.S. as advancing its "geopolitical objectives."

The summit, part of Biden's pledge to help restore democracy across the world, will run from Dec. 9 to Dec. 10 for the first of two meetings. The U.S. invited 110 countries to the virtual summit, where world leaders will discuss "both individual and collective commitments, reforms, and initiatives to defend democracy and human rights at home and abroad," according to the State Department's website.

Taiwan's foreign ministry said in a statement to news outlets that the "invitation to participate in the 'Summit for Democracy' is an affirmation of Taiwan's efforts to promote the values of democracy and human rights over the years."

But China told reporters in Beijing it was "firmly opposed" to the invitation because Taiwan was "an inalienable part of Chinese territory."

"U.S. actions only go to show democracy is just a cover and a tool for it to advance its geopolitical objectives, oppress other countries, divide the world and serve its own interests," a spokesman told reporters.

The U.S. and other democratic countries are worried that Taiwan, a self-governed island close to China, will come under the rule of the People's Republic of China, which has been beefing up its military presence and is thought to be close to invading the country. China also recently severed ties with Lithuania, which allowed Taiwan to open an embassy in its country, in another sign that it sees the island as its own territory.

The island was populated by the nationalist government in the late 1940s after the Chinese Communist Party took control of the mainland following the country's civil war. Recently, Taiwan has been training its military and plans to spend an extra $9 billion to defend itself from Beijing.

Countries from South America to Asia were invited to the democracy summit. The U.S. intentionally kept China and Russia, its two largest adversaries, from the invitation list..

If Trump had won, eventually the Chinese government might have invaded Taiwan. Because he's an isolationist...

President Biden will start turning asylum seekers back to Mexico as soon as next week under a reinstated Trump-era "Remain in Mexico" program — but will offer them the option to receive the COVID-19 vaccine, Axios has learned.

Why it matters: Under court orders, the president will officially undo a key immigration promise, which will force asylum-seekers to wait months in Mexico ahead of their immigration court hearings in the U.S. — as long as Mexico accepts them.

One difference from the program under former President Trump's administration: All migrant adults enrolled in "Remain in Mexico" will be offered the vaccine, although it can't be required, according to two government immigration officials. It's unclear at what point in the process the migrants would be able to get their shots, whether before being turned back, when they return to the U.S. for their court hearing or at some other time. The policy, formally called the Migrant Protection Protocols (MPP), will first be reinstated in El Paso and Brownsville, Texas, as well as San Diego, California, one DHS official said.

Yes, but: Timing has been in flux, and the administration is ultimately at the mercy of Mexico's cooperation.

“In compliance with the court order, we are working to reimplement MPP as promptly as possible,“ DHS spokesperson Marsha Espinosa told Axios.”We cannot do so until we have the independent agreement from the Government of Mexico to accept those we seek to enroll in MPP.  We will communicate to the court, and to the public, the timing of reimplementation when we are prepared to do so.”

What to watch: Vulnerable populations are expected to be exempted. It's unclear who will fall under that category, or how border officials will decide who gets placed in the program.

The effectiveness of the policy will continually depend on Mexico's willingness to accept the migrants turned back. Two sources familiar with internal discussions also highlighted concerns about migrants who would be forced to travel through Mexico in the middle of the night, so they can be on time for early morning court hearings. The administration is trying to address this safety concern ahead of MPP courts reopening later on.

The big picture: A federal court ordered the administration to restart MPP not long after it was ended.

They have to be immunized....that you called a Democratic hoax in order to hurt the Republican base.

The lawsuit filed by Favorito and others relied heavily on sworn affidavits from several people who participated in a hand recount of the ballots and said they saw suspicious-looking ballots.

Lawyers with the state attorney general’s office on Tuesday filed a response brief on behalf of the secretary of state that details investigative steps taken in response to the claims. Investigators interviewed witnesses and examined about 1,000 absentee ballots and ballot images. They did not uncover any ballots matching those described by the people who swore affidavits or that otherwise appeared to be fraudulent or counterfeit, the brief says.

The people who submitted affidavits said they saw absentee ballots that looked as if they had been marked by machine rather than by hand and had not been creased as they would have been to fit in an envelope.

The secretary of state’s brief says investigators examined the ballots in the batches and box identified by one person who participated in the hand count, but all had been creased and none appeared to have been marked by a computer. The woman then told investigators she may have been mistaken and gave them another box number, but investigators determined that the box-batch combination she cited didn’t exist.

Other hand count participants told investigators they also had seen suspicious-looking ballots, but they had not noted the box or batch numbers.

The lawsuit also included previously debunked allegations that election workers at State Farm Arena in Atlanta pulled “suitcases” of ballots from under a table after observers and members of the media left for the night and scanned the ballots multiple times.

Investigators found that security video confirmed the “suitcases” at State Farm Arena were normal ballot bins that election workers had stowed under tables when they thought they were done for the night and then pulled back out when they were told to keep counting. Ballots were scanned multiple times because the scanners jammed, they found.
multiple times Scott

The lawsuit did not seek to change Georgia’s election results, which were certified weeks after the election. Following an initial count of the ballots and before certification, the state did a full hand recount of the presidential race to satisfy a new audit requirement in state law. A second machine recount was done at the request of Trump’s campaign.

The lawsuit claimed that a failure by Fulton County officials to follow state law and properly supervise election workers resulted in counterfeit ballots being added and counted, which diluted the votes of qualified Georgia voters. It argued that, without corrective action by the court, this would happen again in future elections.

But the judge found that “regardless of the veracity of these allegations,” the voters who filed the lawsuit failed to allege that they have been affected personally and individually, and therefore lack standing to sue.

đŸ˜„Oil Bulls Rejoice As Biden’s Supply Strategy Backfires

By Cyril Widdershoven - Nov 24, 2021, 6:00 PM CST

President Biden’s threat to oil producers that he would force prices down has already backfired. Oil markets were unimpressed by the U.S. administration’s plan to coordinate a strategic petroleum reserve release from major importers in an effort to increase supply. While some observers believe an SPR release could push oil prices down, most analysts have warned that it will only have a temporary effect and could eventually trigger a price spike. OPEC+ members have not even engaged with Biden’s strategy as they saw it as flawed from the start. The release of 50 million barrels of crude from the US SPR was never going to significantly impact oil prices. U.S. analysts are now worried that Biden’s actions could end up with higher oil pricesđŸ˜‚

C.H. Truth said...

Sorry Roger...

Not sure what you are referring to in that same story you posted twice. But it wasn't the Arizona audit, which found approximately 50,000 ballots that did not follow the election law of the state.

Yes.... 50,000 that were in possible violation that the Maricopa county had no explanation for.

The Fulton County audit that was just completed, found a variety of ballot batches that got reported differently than they actually were counted under audit (which was just one of the issues).

In several cases there were no Donald Trump votes reported in batches where there were obviously Trump votes (and the audit showed them). In some ballot batches, there were round numbers such as 900 or 950 for Joe Biden (with zero for Trump) reported to the State, when the numbers were far different. One batch was 60-40 for Biden, but was sent to the state with 100% going to Biden. In multiple ballot batches, all of the Trump's votes were recorded for Jorgeson (the third Party candidate) rather than Trump.

The handful of examples I looked at showed over 1200 overcounting of Biden ballots and several hundred undercounted for Trump. That was just a few examples. My understanding is that there were far more than the examples provided.

The whistle blower in Pennsylvania that came forward has VIDEO EVIDENCE of what she is claiming. Including video evidence of election officials destroying documents and such associated with the counts. The math in Pennsylvania left no question.

C.H. Truth said...

I know you won't listen Roger...

Because you never do.

But think about this. In the Virginia election, the NYT election guru Nate Cohn had the Virginia Governor's race projected for a 2% Youngkin win within an hour after the vote ended. Cohn is part of the "uptake" at the Times and one of those responsible for the election needle that the NYT uses.

He continued throughout the night on twitter giving updates. That 2% never faltered and hardly ever does. It's not hard to figure this stuff out if you understand math, statistics, and demographics. You don't need "every county" to have their counts in. You just need a solid representation of the various demographics and how they are voting. Because suburban soccer moms in one county of Virginia are going to vote the same as suburban soccer moms in other counties in that same state. Black urban voters are going to vote like other black urban voters regardless of which county they live in. Spanish speaking Hispanics will vote like each other, as will old white men, College Grads with professional jobs, or whatever Demographic you fit in. The same Demographic doesn't change because a College English professor lives 100 miles from another College English professor. The reason why some counties vote different than others is in the Demographic makeup. It's not because the same Demographic votes differently.

The ability for 538 and the Uptake to get these things right and get them right pretty quick is not even as complicated as one might think. You have to do your homework up front, know what the Demographics look like and track things as they come in. Once you have a solid representation, the rest is just math and waiting to confirm that math is correct.

But in the history of the Uptake needle, we have never seen a needle move over three points after midnight (like we did in Georgia) and we never saw anything close to what happened in Pennsylvania where Joe Biden got nearly 2 million of the 2.6 mail in ballots when all of the math, statistics and Demographics said he would get 200,000 less than that. Heck in Pennsylvania we had the Partisan breakdown of Democrat, Republican, Independent on top of everything else available... and it was still off by 200K or more.... by all accounts.

But I get it...

You are just way too smart for any of that.

Wisconsin election auditor meeting with a convicted fraudster, Mike Lindell and other ‘oddballs’: report

Bob Brigham

November 24, 2021

The former Wisconsin Supreme Court justice overseeing Republicans' review of the 2020 vote has been meeting with "oddballs" as part of his blunder-plagued audit.

"Michael Gableman met with a host of election conspiracy theorists this fall as part of his taxpayer-funded review of the 2020 presidential contest for Assembly Republicans," the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports. "Among those Gableman met with were Peter Bernegger, a felon convicted of fraud who has been using the open records law to gather images of Wisconsin ballots, according to Nate Cain, a West Virginia consultant who has assisted Gableman."

In October, Gableman admitted he had no idea how elections are conducted.

The newspaper reported, "Gableman and his team last month also met with Shiva Ayyadurai, who has contended without evidence that the votes were taken away from Donald Trump based on a science fiction novel; Mike Lindell, the MyPillow executive who has spent a year making over-the-top false claims that the election was hacked by the Chinese; and Douglas Frank, the chairman of the math and science department at an Ohio school who has falsely asserted that votes in Michigan were manipulated with a mathematical 'key.'"

Barry Burden, the director of the Elections Research Center at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, said the "oddballs" he is meeting with "are all election skeptics who have bought into the big lie."

There are also concerns about Gableman's staffing decisions.

"Assembly Republicans hired Gableman at taxpayer expense this summer to conduct his own review of the election," the newspaper noted. "Among those Gableman has retained to assist him is Cain, who last year told a conservative YouTube host that a civil war could start if the election was not audited. He also wrongly claimed it was statistically impossible for the ballots that were counted the latest to go so heavily to Joe Biden."

Assembly Republicans gave Gableman $676,000 to conduct his review.

You believe that tens of millions were forged by Democrats and that thousands of dead people voted for Biden.

Coldheartedtruth Teller said...

Almost exactly correct

What Is Conspiracy Theory Addiction?

A conspiracy theory can be defined as the belief that a secret-but-influential organization or individual is responsible for a circumstance or event. People often think that these beliefs are rare or sometimes absurd, but research shows they may be more common than previously thought. A study found that about 50% of Americans believe in at least one conspiracy theory. Conspiracy theories come in all forms, but most theories involve political and social events. Some examples include the belief that certain celebrities are immortal vampires and controversial topics such as the belief that a small group of people are planning to overthrow the government. Often, one theory will have accompanying and sometimes contradictory conspiracy theories which can be dangerous if not challenged. On the other hand, it can be noted that some conspiracy theories have been proven to be true. With the increased popularity of conspiracies and exposure to information, it is possible to harm one’s mental health and relationships by developing a conspiracy theory addiction.

Conspiracy theory addiction is a behavioral addiction that can have a hidden impact on the way one perceives events and has been linked to having more negative attitudes. Rather than helping one cope with their negative feelings, the belief in conspiracy theories can create a cycle of distrust and disempowerment. As a person encounters different sources, it is important to be able to analyze the information and distinguish between false theories and real threats.

A jury has awarded over $26 million in damages to the plaintiffs in a federal civil suit brought against the organizers of the violent Unite the Right rally that happened back in 2017.

Local residents and counterprotesters that suffered injuries that deadly weekend filed a lawsuit a few months later. The suit named a long list of defendants including well known white nationalists Jason Kessler, Christopher Cantwell, Richard Spencer and multiple alt-right and supremacist groups.

The killing of Ahmaud Arbery, a young Black man who had the gall to jog through a mostly White neighborhood, was nothing but a classic lynching of the kind that could have happened a century ago.

We can say that in plain English now, with no hemming and hawing, following Wednesday’s jury verdict finding Arbery’s killers guilty of murder, aggravated assault and false imprisonment — the same crimes that White lynch mobs once regularly committed against Black Americans with impunity.

Lawyers for the three defendants — Travis McMichael; his father, Greg McMichael; and their friend William “Roddie” Bryan — played the race card repeatedly throughout the trial, perhaps seeing it as the only card they had. In Brunswick, Ga., a town where almost 60 percent of the population is Black, they managed to seat a jury with only one Black member. They resorted to just about every racist trope used to denigrate and demonize Black men over the years, suggesting that the armed killers had reason to fear the slight Arbery’s allegedly inhuman strength and malice. One defense lawyer, Laura Hogue, even went so far as to tell the jury that Arbery had “long, dirty toenails.”

Those defense attorneys utterly failed. It took just 11 hours of deliberation for the almost all-White jury to find the three White defendants guilty of lynching a Black man. Maybe there’s a glimmer of hope for justice in these United States after all.

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) has introduced a bill to award the Congressional Gold Medal — the legislative branch’s highest honor — to Kyle Rittenhouse, the teenager who last week was found not guilty of homicide and other charges related to his fatal shooting of two men during a protest against police violence last year.
Greene introduced a bill Tuesday to give Rittenhouse the award. While the bill’s full text was not immediately available, a summary states that the measure would “award a Congressional Gold Medal to Kyle H. Rittenhouse, who protected the community of Kenosha, Wisconsin, during a Black Lives Matter (BLM) riot.”

Although certain factors that contribute to belief cannot be easily or quickly changed, researchers have found that promoting messages of self-control and empowerment can reduce conspiratorial thinking.

Joe called it a "Self inflicted wound"

"With an energy transition underway across the country, it is critical that Washington does not jeopardize America’s energy security in the near term and leave consumers vulnerable to rising prices,” Manchin said in a statement. “Historic inflation taxes and the lack of a comprehensive all-of-the-above energy policy pose a clear and present threat to America’s economic and energy security that can no longer be ignored."

No, the US would have gotten the end products by refining oil received at the other end of the pipeline (Louisiana). That would have increase US supplies of gasoline, fuel oil, natural gas, plastics, etc.

Than in turn would have made them cheaper.

One of the most important facts that is missing in the national debate surrounding the proposed Keystone XL tar sands pipeline is this – Keystone XL will not bring any more oil into the United State for decades to come. Canada doesn’t have nearly enough oil to fill existing pipelines going to the United States. However, existing Canadian oil pipelines all go to the Midwest, where the only buyer for their crude is the United States. Keystone XL would divert Canadian oil from refineries in the Midwest to the Gulf Coast where it can be refined and exported. Many of these refineries are in Foriegn Trade Zones where oil may be exported to international buyers without paying U.S. taxes. And that is exactly what Valero, one of the largest potential buyers of Keystone XL's oil, has told its investors it will do. The idea that Keystone XL will improve U.S. oil supply is a documented scam being played on the American people by Big Oil and its friends in Washington DC.

Fatass you can’t claim both sides of the argument. You previously claimed building Keystone wouldn’t affect oil prices because it’s a worldwide market, now it won’t affect prices because the US won’t use the product from the Keystone.

Keep your stories straight in between the voluminous pies you’ll be shoving in your fat face at ‘The Corral’

Lara Trump claims rising turkey prices is part of a left-wing plot to destroy Thanksgiving

Lara Trump, the former president's daughter-in-law, spoke about price inflation on Fox News.

She claimed the rising cost of Thanksgiving dinner was part of a left-wing plot to destroy US traditions.

"They don't want us to have any shared traditions like Thanksgiving," she said.

Lara Trump, the wife of former President Donald Trump's son Eric, said that the rising price of Thanksgiving dinner was part of a left-wing plot to destroy American traditions.

Trump appeared on Fox News' "Hannity" show on Wednesday to talk about inflation. Other guests blamed the Biden administration for rising prices, and pointed to "the left."

Trump noted the rising costs of many items, and pointed to turkey prices as part of a plot to "transform" the US.

"They have told us from the beginning that they want to fundamentally transform America," she said.

"Well, how do you that? You have to change America from the inside out, you have to take away our traditions."

You don't remember that a record number of suburban women who often mail ballots, voted for Biden because of how women saw he cheated on all three wives.

You still don't get it. You want to replace math and statistics with rhetoric.

This was not a "surprise" of how many people of a particular demographic voted, as all of the numbers were transparently there. Because those ballots were already in, already separated by precinct and quite literally returned as Democrat, Republican, and Independent... there wasn't any surprises about who turned out. They knew how many Suburban women voters were in, and by 11:00 PM or Midnight they had a pretty good idea of how they were voting.

There isn't enough of any specific demographic to give Binden a good 5-6 percent more than he was expecting to get. It would have taken a 5-6 percent difference across the board.

But again, Roger. You won't understand. Which is why you think it can be explained by rhetoric.
