From what everyone was saying there were two holdouts yesterday that wanted a guilty count on something, claiming that they were worried about the consequences of a full acquittal (don't want the city to burn, etc). The other ten were looking to provide a full acquittal on all counts. Now people are suggesting that some are moving towards a guilty on one or more counts as a compromise, while others are still "holding" out for a full acquittal.
Judge is now starting to see criticism from both sides. First for showing deference to the defense (which is generally how trials are supposed to work) and now for not really showing any backbone with the issues that the State has been accused of. The Judge has made it clear that he does not believe the prosecution's explanations on how the lower quality file made it over to the defense, and apparently will be consulting technical experts on the subject.
He also says he does not want to actually rule on a possible mistrial before seeing what the verdict is?
Seems he wants to have his cake and eat it too? Can he still call a mistrial after the jury has rendered a decision? My guess is that he cannot if the jury acquits (as that would fall under the concept of double jeopardy). But could he possibly set aside any guilty verdicts and call a mistrial on those counts? Perhaps that is where he is going with all of this. Doesn't want the defendant to lose any acquitals (if they are out there) by calling a mistrial now (unless it is done with prejudice), but wants the ability to overturn any conviction based on what happened with the drone video (and other possible problems with the prosecution).
At the end of the day, there are members of the jury who do not want to take responsibility for an acquittal and we appear to have a judge not eager to provide a mistrial with prejudice for the same reason. This is all taking place because we literally allow these riots to take place every time a court case goes sour for the left. Perhaps they simply need to stop these riots... by any means necessary and then we can get our justice system back from the angry mob.

Such is the nature of war, and I believe wholeheartedly that the United States is currently in a war between good and evil within our own shores. Like everyone else involved in this war (and we all are), I’m certain that my side is the “good” side. For this reason, I simply have no tolerance whatsoever for anyone on the other side. I don’t want to hear from them. I don’t care what they have to say. I share no relation to them in any way and refuse to entertain any thought that I might. This is the necessary zealotry of our current circumstances.
I’ve always been the calm one, routinely the arbiter called upon to settle disputes. I’m the level-headed one who thinks rather than just reacting. I’ve been the peacemaker because I’ve never seen the point of conflict. It always seemed to me to be counterproductive.

Now I have no interest in sitting at the same table as AOC. I couldn’t take her (or Kamala Harris, or Cori Bush, and certainly not Joe Biden) seriously in any case, but the disgust I feel just picturing any of those and a hundred others like them within spitting distance of me precludes me from even considering the possibility. I believe to my core that Anthony Fauci, Ilhan Omar, Nancy Pelosi, the entire Department of “Justice”, and countless others in Democrat party “leadership” all belong in jail. And the more I see, the more deeply ingrained that belief in Marxism
I cannot find an avenue of acceptance for what I view as a fundamental trampling of our nation’s Constitution and dismantling of what is and has always been the greatest nation ever conceived on this Earth. I believe their treachery is purposeful, with those participating in it well aware of what they’re doing. I believe it is positively immoral and I believe it imperative that these activities are stopped in their tracks and the perpetrators held to maximum account for it. In many cases, I believe what these people are doing is treasonous at least, a crime against humanity at worst, and that the punishment must fit the crime exactly as prescribed for both sets of offenses.
And here’s the kicker: For me, these feelings are beginning to extend to anyone who in any way could support the evil these people are foisting on America and mankind. I’m starting to despise anyone who still calls him/herself a Democrat, and, honestly, I’m finding the same feelings for many who claim to be Republicans but who seem willing (eager?) to compromise with “the other side.” My tolerance for “compromise” has reached its end.
It seems I’m fully imbued with the necessary zealotry of war...the cold war that is here now, and perhaps, God forbid, any escalation that might come if the ANTIFA and BLM crowd push their violence too far.

Rep. Paul Gosar, the Arizona Republican who used congressional resources to produce and release a cartoon video of him murdering Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.), deservedly became the 24th person in history to be censured by his House peers.

But Kevin McCarthy (Calif.) is the one who truly has earned the censure of posterity. In his craven attempt to maintain himself as the House Republican leader, McCarthy showed once again that there is no level of violent, hateful or authoritarian speech that goes too far. By condoning threats and intimidation in the people’s House, he is inviting actual violence — and signing democracy’s death warrant.
Ten days ago, as the world now knows, Gosar, a dentist/insurrectionist, tweeted from his official congressional Twitter account a manipulated anime in which the Gosar figure flies through the air and slashes the Ocasio-Cortez figure across the back of the neck. Blood sprays profusely from the neck wound. Ocasio-Cortez’s lifeless head snaps back. Gosar moves on in the video, swords drawn, to confront President Biden.
Gosar didn’t apologize for the video. He mocked the “faux outrage” and labeled as “laughable” the “shrill accusations that this cartoon is dangerous.”
On the House floor Wednesday afternoon, a defiant Gosar, noting that he took down the video (after about two days and 3 million views), portrayed himself as the victim. “No matter how much the left tries to quiet me, I will continue to speak out,” he vowed.
Only two of 213 House Republicans voted with Democrats to censure Gosar.
McCarthy was outraged — not by the unrepentant Gosar’s homicidal cinematography but by Democrats’ move to reprimand him. Instead of condemning the video, McCarthy said Democrats would “break another precedent” of the House.
The Head of federal agency responsible for wildly inaccurate jobs numbers is Trump holdover
Some areas of the U.S. federal government are sacrosanct.
The CDC doesn't screw around with reporting COVID information, because millions of people, including scientists, make life or death decisions based on those data.
The Labor Dept. doesn't tweak jobs numbers for political purposes, or to make a president look good or bad, because to report inaccurate results leads to tremendous distrust of the government, messes up markets, and plans of major corporations.
And yet under President Donald Trump the Health and Human Services Dept. altered CDC documents – once considered sacrosanct documents – for political purposes, CNN reported last year.
"Amid tension between the administration and the CDC, former Trump campaign official turned chief HHS spokesman Michael Caputo and his team had demanded to see reports out of the CDC before they are released, a senior administration official said. Officials within HHS had defended the demand, saying the CDC fell under the agency's umbrella and that all communications and public documents needed to be cleared at the top."
A federal official told CNN that in addition to reviewing reports, HHS political appointee Paul Alexander has regularly added his input -- often interpreted by CDC officials as political in nature -- to weekly scientific reports intended to track the ongoing coronavirus pandemic response. The development marks the latest example of political interference by administration appointees at the nation's health agencies.
So when The Washington Post reported Tuesday that the federal government "sharply underestimated job gains for most of 2021, including four months this summer in which it missed more job growth than at any other time on record," some expressed concern.
"In the most recent four months with revisions, June through September, the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) reported it underestimated job growth by a cumulative 626,000 jobs — that's the largest underestimate of any other comparable period, going back to 1979. If those revisions were themselves a jobs report, they'd be an absolute blockbuster," the Post noted.
They add, "recent revisions have been big enough to turn a substantial slump into a surprising surge."
Americans, in other words, have been living under the false belief that the labor market wasn't exactly hopping, thanks to wildly inaccurate numbers out of the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the agency under the Dept. of Labor that collects, tracks, and analyzes these critical numbers.
Yes, under President Joe Biden the labor market has been surging, we now know, contrary to the information that's been coming out of the BLS.
Curiously, as the Post also noted, the exact opposite happened last year, when Donald Trump was president.
"Revisions in the already calamitous months of March and April 2020," under Trump, "found the economy had lost 922,000 more jobs than initially reported."
Given what we know happened at CDC, you'd think some might be wondering what's going on.
Well, we are.
As it turns out, William Beach – the head of the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the agency that since the start of the pandemic has been churning out wildly inaccurate (but very pro-Trump) numbers – was appointed by Donald Trump, used to work for a very pro-Trump think tank known as the Heritage Foundation, worked for a university research center that is funded by the very pro-Trump Charles Koch (as in the Koch Bros.), and also used to work for the Republicans on the the Senate Budget Committee.
(And while it's unclear when Beach left Heritage, it's important to know that right wing think tank is a purveyor of climate change denialism, fake critical race theory and voter fraud claims, and voter suppression legislation.)
So, who cares if the labor numbers are wrong?
Well, everyone, when they read headlines calling Biden's jobs numbers a “colossal miss," “ugly," “dismal" and “disappointing," as The Post noted. Companies make major decisions based on these numbers, which everyone realizes are just estimates, but up until last year were good indicators of what is going on.
Under Beach, the Biden administration has been slammed, giving Republicans a false tool to attack. And like bad newspaper articles that appear on page one and linger in Americans' minds for days, corrections only appear on the back pages, invisible to the vast majority of people who only remember what was false.
An important side note: the Bureau of Labor Statistics is also responsible for reporting out the Consumer Price Index, which in recent days has claimed massive price increases.
NCRM emailed Commissioner Beach on Wednesday, asking if he intended to resign, and asking him to explain what caused these massive errors and if that has been fixed.
We also asked if he maintains any professional, personal, or financial ties to The Heritage Foundation, Senate Republicans or any of his previous right wing employers.
Commissioner Beach did not respond, but Bureau of Labor Statistics Deputy Commissioner William J. Wiatrowski did – with a boilerplate explanation of revisions, and a statement assuring us that the "integrity of BLS data collection and reporting is paramount. The BLS commissioner, as has always been the case, does not see data until they are finalized. Civil servant economists and statisticians tabulate and analyze the data."
No word on any resignation – or if this massive problem has been fixed.
There's no evidence to say these massive screw ups are intentional – or worse, politically motivated – but the American public and American businesses deserve better, they deserve factual data they can count on, and they deserve to know what's actually happening on their President's watch – any president.
If that cannot happen under this commissioner, it's time for a new one.

I remember my mother saying that the elections registrar told that she had to register Democrat in order to vote in state and local elections. Florida is close primary state and there was no Republican presents in the state since reconstruction.

The jury is tasked with considering whether Rittenhouse provoked the attack or whether others placed him in sufficient fear to conclude that the shootings were legally justified. The full jury instructions are available here.
