NBC host Chuck Todd on Sunday challenged Gov Tate Reeves (R-MS) over his push to deny abortion rights for women while insisting that people should have control over their own bodies when it comes to vaccines.
During an interview on Meet the Press, Todd noted that Reeves had recently championed "freedom and individual liberty" when it comes to vaccine mandates.
"Why should the state of Mississippi tell a woman what they should do with their body?" Todd asked. "Why shouldn't they have that individual freedom on their body particularly in the first 20 weeks [of pregnancy]."
"The far left loves to scream 'my body, my choice,'" Reeves replied. "And what I would submit to you, Chuck, is you absolutely ignore the fact that in getting an abortion, there is an actual killing of an innocent unborn child that is in that womb."
Reeves went on to insist that fetuses should be considered "babies" at 15 weeks of age.
"Those babies at 15 weeks can feel pain," he argued. "The difference between vaccine mandates and abortions is vaccines allow you to protect yourself. Abortions actually go in and kill other American babies."
"But vaccines are not about yourself," Todd interrupted. "Hang on a minute. A vaccine is about protecting a larger community. A vaccine is about preventing spread. You could argue a vaccine mandate is a pro-life position."
"You could certainly argue that, Chuck," Reeves agreed. "The vaccine may not keep you from getting the virus. It may not keep you from spreading the virus but it can keep you from ending up in the hospital. That's what's been proven during this delta surge that we've seen in America."
He added: "Conversely, when you're talking about the pro-life position of protecting unborn babies, let's put it also in perspective, the fact is that during this very horrible and challenging time since I was sworn into office in January of 2020, Chuck, we've had 800,000 American lives lost because of Covid. And my heart aches for every single one of those individuals that has died because of Covid ... But since Roe was enacted, 62 million American babies have been aborted and have therefore been killed."

1) There apparently was not an audit in Maricopa county, nor was there an audit done in Fulton county. Those were made up conspiracy theories. They are the same ones who have made a weapon out of “woke,” which was coined by Black people to describe a state of being aware of oppressive systems, policies and people.
While the coinage is relatively new, the concept is old. Whether it’s Marcus Garvey saying, “Wake Up, Africa! Wake Up, Ethiopia!” or Martin Luther King Jr. often likening the apathetic to Rip Van Winkle, there’s a long tradition of describing those just becoming aware of social ills as having woken up.
It’s now white people’s word. "Woke" and Black people have no future together.
Or, in the more recent vernacular, “getting woke.” But it follows that the people who distorted the language to make Black people decrying racism the racists, would make people decrying oppression the oppressors. They’d have us believe that America’s problem isn’t police brutality, sexism, homophobia, income equality or environmental racism but the people calling it out.

The book is hot fire, from page one to the last, and will permanently affect your view of not only this pandemic and the policy response but also the workings of public health in general.
Atlas’s book has exposed a scandal for the ages. It is enormously valuable because it fully blows up what seems to be an emerging fake story involving a supposedly Covid-denying president who did nothing vs. heroic scientists in the White House who urged compulsory mitigating measures consistent with prevailing scientific opinion. A California court temporarily blocked a COVID-19 vaccine mandate for prison workers that was opposed by Gov. Gavin Newsom
A judge previously issued the mandate, slated to begin January 12, after it was recommended by the court-appointed receiver who manages the prison health care system.
The California Correctional Peace Officers Association had said the mandate could create staff shortages, the Associated Press reported.
An appeals court in California on Friday temporarily halted a COVID-19 vaccine mandate for prison workers in the state that was slated to take place next month.
The mandate was scheduled to take effect on January 12, but is blocked until at least March when a hearing will take place, according to a report from the Associated Press.
The mandate had been ordered by a US district judge in September based on the recommendation of the court-appointed receiver who manages the state prison health care system. A federal judge in 2005 had ordered someone appointed to such the position after finding the California prison system had not provided adequate health care to inmates, according to the AP report.
The decision to temporarily block the mandate was made by a panel of judges on the 9th US Circuit Court of Appeals, per the report.

Torres's mother, Amber Kohnke, told the New York Post that her daughter remains at the Children's Wisconsin Hospital, where the anguished mom spent the Thanksgiving holiday beside her daughter in her hospital room.
'No mother should ever go through this. This is a very traumatic ordeal,' Kohnke, a mother of four, told the Post.
Jessalyn Torres, 11, one of nine kids injured in the November 21 crash, suffered a broken pelvis and femur, a fractured skull, lacerations to her lungs, and lost a kidney
'The hardest part was not being with everyone and Jessalyn, in the condition she is, was not able to be with her family either,' she said.
Kohnke related her experience of watching her daughter struggle to breathe in a series of Facebook posts.
'I hate watching my daughter go through this,' she said in one note. 'Cry a little tear, suck it up, and stay strong for her.'
'Let me say this again… she is a fighter!' Kohnke wrote in another post.
'I sat here and held her hand, kissed her head and just watched and cried and told her I was so proud of her.'
Jessalyn, who heartbreakingly told doctors to 'glue her back together' after being transported to the hospital, is among four children who remain in serious condition after the massacre, with three others in fair condition.
The other two children are in good condition, the hospital said.
Kohnke said her daughter was dancing in the parade with the Waukesha Xtreme Dance group last Sunday when Brooks barreled into the crowd of spectators, with the impact of the crash throwing her into the air.
Kohnke has raised some $110,000 in an online fundraiser to help cover Jessalyn’s medical bills.

NBC host Chuck Todd on Sunday challenged Gov Tate Reeves (R-MS) over his push to deny abortion rights for women while insisting that people should have control over their own bodies when it comes to vaccines.
During an interview on Meet the Press, Todd noted that Reeves had recently championed "freedom and individual liberty" when it comes to vaccine mandates.
"Why should the state of Mississippi tell a woman what they should do with their body?" Todd asked. "Why shouldn't they have that individual freedom on their body particularly in the first 20 weeks [of pregnancy]."
"The far left loves to scream 'my body, my choice,'" Reeves replied. "And what I would submit to you, Chuck, is you absolutely ignore the fact that in getting an abortion, there is an actual killing of an innocent unborn child that is in that womb."
Reeves went on to insist that fetuses should be considered "babies" at 15 weeks of age.
"Those babies at 15 weeks can feel pain," he argued. "The difference between vaccine mandates and abortions is vaccines allow you to protect yourself. Abortions actually go in and kill other American babies."
"But vaccines are not about yourself," Todd interrupted. "Hang on a minute. A vaccine is about protecting a larger community. A vaccine is about preventing spread. You could argue a vaccine mandate is a pro-life position."
"You could certainly argue that, Chuck," Reeves agreed. "The vaccine may not keep you from getting the virus. It may not keep you from spreading the virus but it can keep you from ending up in the hospital. That's what's been proven during this delta surge that we've seen in America."
He added: "Conversely, when you're talking about the pro-life position of protecting unborn babies, let's put it also in perspective, the fact is that during this very horrible and challenging time since I was sworn into office in January of 2020, Chuck, we've had 800,000 American lives lost because of Covid. And my heart aches for every single one of those individuals that has died because of Covid ... But since Roe was enacted, 62 million American babies have been aborted and have therefore been killed."

2) That 500 unarmed and unorganized Americans had a plan to take over the entire US Government by seizing control of the Capitol building. He believes that the FBI investigation that found no evidence of any conspiracy or coordinated attempts for any coup is just a right wing hoax, probably put out there by Tucker Carlson who along with FOX news secretly control the FBI.
3) That he is sane and reasonable and everyone else is crazy.

The mandate had been ordered by a US district judge in September based on the recommendation of the court-appointed receiver who manages the state prison health care system. A federal judge in 2005 had ordered someone appointed to such the position after finding the California prison system had not provided adequate health care to inmates, according to the AP report.
The decision to temporarily block the mandate was made by a panel of judges on the 9th US Circuit Court of Appeals, per the report.

Torres's mother, Amber Kohnke, told the New York Post that her daughter remains at the Children's Wisconsin Hospital, where the anguished mom spent the Thanksgiving holiday beside her daughter in her hospital room.
'No mother should ever go through this. This is a very traumatic ordeal,' Kohnke, a mother of four, told the Post.

'The hardest part was not being with everyone and Jessalyn, in the condition she is, was not able to be with her family either,' she said.
Kohnke related her experience of watching her daughter struggle to breathe in a series of Facebook posts.
'I hate watching my daughter go through this,' she said in one note. 'Cry a little tear, suck it up, and stay strong for her.'
'Let me say this again… she is a fighter!' Kohnke wrote in another post.
'I sat here and held her hand, kissed her head and just watched and cried and told her I was so proud of her.'
Jessalyn, who heartbreakingly told doctors to 'glue her back together' after being transported to the hospital, is among four children who remain in serious condition after the massacre, with three others in fair condition.
The other two children are in good condition, the hospital said.
Kohnke said her daughter was dancing in the parade with the Waukesha Xtreme Dance group last Sunday when Brooks barreled into the crowd of spectators, with the impact of the crash throwing her into the air.
Kohnke has raised some $110,000 in an online fundraiser to help cover Jessalyn’s medical bills.

The Milwaukee District Attorney admitted on Monday the bond was 'inappropriately low.'
The charges are related to an incident on November 2 involving the mother of one of his children in Milwaukee.
Brooks is said to have hunted her down in a hotel before following her in the street in his car, demanding that she get in, before 'punching her with a closed fist' and then 'running her over.'
Court records show he was charged on November 5, and paid cash bond on the 11th, but the records weren't updated until the 19th.

It would be hard to prove that Trump somehow coordinated a coup attempt when none of the people arrested in the riot have been found to have even coordinated between each other and no actual "plots" were uncovered take over anything.

Milwaukee County District Attorney John T. Chisholm is who we are talking about. One of his major donors is an organization called The Open Society Foundation. Look it up. You are capable.
He also has a history of partisan type investigations including the infamous John Doe investigation that eventually had to be ended by the Wisconsin Supreme Court due to a lack of actual criminal statute. During the investigation, they acquired personal information on dozens of local Republicans before the courts were forced to shut it down. He had a thing for going after Scott Walker.
So he goes after Republicans in a manner that required the courts to shut him down... but he is okay letting dangerous convicted felons off with a $1000 bail.
Of course, this sort of behavior just makes people like Roger and Reverend support him more. After all, where would Democrats be if they couldn't push partisan political investigations and let criminals roam the streets!
