Wrong again... naturally!

Biden to Restart ‘Remain In Mexico’ Program

“The Trump-era ‘Remain in Mexico’ program will resume Monday as long as Mexico officially approves the plan, as expected Thursday,” Axios reports.

“President Biden has been forced by court order to restart the controversial program, which makes asylum seekers wait in Mexico for their U.S. court hearings. The administration is simultaneously seeking to end the program, again.”

Well this was just a matter of time. Things are so f-d up at the border that something had to be done. Mr Senile in Chief appears clueless to the effects of his policy decisions, so sometimes he has to be told (like a young child) what he needs to be doing. In this case, not only was his policy wrong, but it was so wrong that it was considered to have been done arbitrarily (which of course it was). Believe it or not, reversing a policy because you want to reverse everything Trump did as a matter of principle is pretty stupid and arbitrary to boot.

Of course Mexico will also approve the plan because something this f-n messed up even screws with things on their side of the border.

It is not "wrong again" to be able to see that everything Trump did was not always totally mistaken -- just ALMOST everything he did was mistaken.

Trump could never see that, so he called the anti nuclear policy worked out with Iran and several world powers a disaster just because it was attributable to Obama (had his name on it, so to speak), but later when Trump started looking into working out his own nuclear policy with Iran, he backed away as soon as it became clear that what Obama had worked out in conjunction with the other world powers was the only thing that would actually work.

So now we have Iran closer to a nuclear weapon than they have ever been, thanks to Devious Donald.

Same with ACA ("Obamacare"). Trump could not admit that there were things in it that were worth keeping. He just wanted to destroy it. And did not succeed.

STAYING ON TOPIC:
LET'S TAKE A LOOK AT WHAT REALLY IS GOING ON HERE:

Biden to restart "Remain in Mexico" program
Stef W. Kight

The Trump-era "Remain in Mexico" program will resume Monday as long as Mexico officially approves the plan, as expected Thursday, U.S. administration officials told reporters.

Why it matters:
President Biden has been forced by court order to restart the controversial program, which makes asylum seekers wait in Mexico for their U.S. court hearings. The administration is simultaneously seeking to end the program, again.

Between the lines:
This time, before agreeing to cooperate, Mexico has demanded several humanitarian changes to what is formally called the Migrant Protection Protocols.

"These are improvements THAT WE AGREE WITH AND THAT WE WILL BE MAKING," one administration official said.

The new version of the Migrant Protection Protocols WILL DIFFER from President Trump's in a handful of ways, according to the officials:

*All migrants will be offered the COVID-19 vaccine before being returned to Mexico.

*U.S. officials will attempt to complete all MPP asylum cases within 180 days.

*When asked, Migrants who express fear of being returned to Mexico will be given 24 hours to consult with an attorney before an interview with a U.S. immigration official, which will determine whether the migrant is placed in MPP or not.

*There also will be lower bar to meet for migrants claiming fear of persecution in Mexico.

*The categories for potential exemption from The Migrant Protective Protocols will also be expanded to include people with physical and mental health challenges, the elderly and those at risk of discrimination because of gender or sexual identity.

The details:
Axios reported last week that the administration had been readying to launch the program as soon as this week, a timeline that was pushed back only slightly.

The Migrant Protective Protocols will kick off on Monday at just one port of entry along the border, but the exact site has not yet been finalized, the officials said.

Migrants will cross back into the U.S. for court hearings through legal border entry points in San Diego, California, as well as El Paso, Brownsville and Laredo, Texas.

Sure sounds a lot more humane and effective than anything MONSTER TRUMP was bent on doing.

Biden's job approvals are what counts... not whatever it is that you are bringing up. For that he is 42.2% approve and 52.1 disapprove for a net spread of 9.9%

I don't think Trump has "job approval numbers" anymore... nor does favorability ratings really matter in elections. Some people who completely disapprove of the job Biden is doing might see him as a favorable person, while some people who believe Trump might be a better President might not have a favorable opinion of him. Keep in mind that the difference between the two at election time was double digits.

American Thinker suggests a new civil war.

Let me be clear.  We have had a three-body problem in the United States since World War II: (1) the Democrats have been steadily pushing Marxist socialism upon the American people while claiming to liberate them; (2) with the exception of small reprieves provided by Presidents Reagan and Trump, Establishment Republicans have falsely presented themselves as stewards of the inalienable rights and liberties defended by our Founding Fathers while actually providing aid and comfort to the Democrat's Big Government conquest of America; and (3) a nefarious shadow bureaucracy made up of the permanent D.C. Leviathan, multinational firms, and a financial aristocracy controlling and manipulating the dollar's value and therefore each American's personal wealth has pushed unprincipled elected "leaders" to do what's in its sinister interests while actively harming the best interests of the people they purport to represent.  This was as true thirty years ago as it is true today.  What is the difference now?  The cat's out of the bag, and more and more Americans are acutely aware that the U.S. government works against their self-determination.

On this side of the battlefield, our banners proclaim, "free speech," "freedom of conscience," and "free will."  Our warriors cherish liberty; the right to own property through the efforts of one's own labor; the right to approach the world with an open mind capable of seeking universal truths; and the certainty that they, and not some king or queen, are responsible for their own destiny.  On the other side is a crumbling system dependent on State propaganda, censorship, threats of force, and total control.  Those are all fearsome tools of government, to be sure, but they don't look so attractive when held high atop banners for all to see, nor do they rally the hearts of men to charge forth against some enemy army, especially when that might mean willingly sacrificing themselves in defense of the intangible virtues of glorious ideas that sometimes require the "last full measure of devotion" to persevere.

So the world is waking up to the reality that only one real conflict exists — that between individual liberty and total State domination.  Thanks to decades of taxation and money-printing, states sure do have a lot of pretty toys.  But with history as a guide, I'll bet every time on those poor souls who choose to defend freedom.

U.S. will resume policy for asylum-seekers to wait in Mexico

Migrants walk through Chiapas state, Mexico, in October as they continue their trek north toward Mexico’s northern states and the U.S. border.

SAN DIEGO —

The Biden administration has struck an agreement with Mexico to next week reinstate a Trump-era border policy that forces asylum-seekers to wait in Mexico for hearings in U.S. immigration court, U.S. officials said Thursday.

Revival of the “Remain in Mexico” policy comes under a court order even as the administration maneuvers to end it in a way that survives legal scrutiny. President Biden scrapped the policy, but a lawsuit by Texas and Missouri has forced him to put it back into effect.

About 70,000 asylum-seekers have been subject to the policy, which President Trump introduced in January 2019 and which Biden suspended on his first day in office.

Illegal border crossings fell sharply after Mexico, facing Trump’s threat of higher tariffs, acquiesced in 2019 to the policy’s rapid expansion. Asylum-seekers were victims of major violence while waiting in Mexico and faced a slew of legal obstacles, such as access to attorneys and case information.

Migrants are expected to be returned starting Monday at one border city and soon after in three others. The sequence has yet to be determined, but the cities are San Diego and Texas crossings in El Paso, Laredo and Brownsville.

Thursday’s announcement follows intense bilateral negotiations between the U.S. and Mexico after U.S. District Judge Matthew Kacsmaryk, a Trump appointee in Amarillo, Texas, ordered that the policy be reinstated, subject to Mexico’s participation.

Even though they face danger, he in protecting the United States of America because he cares for everyone in even red states.

Another message saw him indulge multiple prejudices while making another threat. “And it really, really, it boils down to two camps,” he said to the unnamed target. “You either support our president, support liberty, and f*** this global homo, uh, vaccination Jewish agenda, or you’re not. In which case we’re going to f***ing kill you. Do you understand?”

Trump and the current Republican party, since he was elected by a minority popular vote minority .

Jonathan Chait notes a new poll that shows the Republican party “is an extremist outlier in comparison with major conservative parties in other democracies.”

“Supporters of the British Conservative party were split almost evenly between fearing cultural change and fearing right-wing extremism. Supporters of the Christian Democratic parties in Germany deemed the far right a much larger threat. But Trump voters, on the other hand, took a dramatically more conservative stance, deeming the cultural left a bigger threat than the far right by overwhelming margins.”

“Indeed, if you want a comparison to the Republican perspective, you can only find it in a far-right party like Germany’s AfD, an extremist faction that has combined attacks on immigration with unsettling revisionism around the condemnation of the Third Reich that has been a foundation of Germany’s post World War one political consensus.”

George Soros has blood on his hands for the rise in killings nationwide

The crime wave sweeping across the country is the direct result of a years-long campaign by George Soros to bankroll the election of far-left district attorneys committed to undermining law and order.

Over the past six years or so, Soros has poured tens of millions of dollars into the campaigns of DA candidates from coast to coast, achieving a remarkable degree of success by simply overwhelming all the other candidates. Whereas normal DA candidates typically run on five-figure budgets, Soros-backed DA candidates routinely enjoy seven-figure war chests.

Soros is able to do this because federal campaign-finance limitations do not apply to local races. Many states have adopted their own laws capping the amounts that individuals and/or political action committees can contribute to candidates, but those laws are often riddled with loopholes. In some cases, the limits only apply to statewide races. In other cases, Soros can circumvent individual contribution limits by funneling money through the PACs he has set up for this purpose, which generally go by the ironic name of “Safety and Justice.”

The reason Soros has spent so much money on races that used to be relatively obscure, local affairs is straightforward. Just as President Barack Obama seized upon the notion of “prosecutorial discretion” to grant de facto amnesty to millions of illegal immigrants after failing to get amnesty passed by Congress, Soros recognizes that local prosecutors can exercise the same discretion to selectively enforce laws. Rather than spending tens of millions of dollars per state on numerous higher-profile races for state lawmakers, he can spend comparatively smaller amounts on DA races knowing that the outcome will determine how — and even whether — laws are enforced.

The candidates Soros backs are so unapologetically far left that they make Bernie Sanders sound like Richard Nixon. Philadelphia DA Larry Krasner received $1,700,000 from Soros. Chicago DA Kim Foxx, who treated Jussie Smollett with kid gloves after he concocted a wild story about a late-night assault, got a cool $2 million. Kim Gardner, the St. Louis circuit attorney who prosecuted the McCloskeys for defending their property, also received backing from Soros. Thanks to Soros, San Francisco’s DA is Chesa Boudin, the son of Weather Underground terrorists (and convicted murderers), who once served as a translator for Venezuela’s communist dictator Hugo Chavez.

Once in office, these prosecutors implement policies that are tailor-made to increase crime and reduce public safety.

As the nation’s third confirmed case of the omicron variant of the coronavirus emerged Thursday, White House press secretary Jen Psaki said “nothing is off the table” when it comes to controlling the virus’s spread.
That includes the possibility of a vaccine mandate for domestic flights, along with stricter requirements for international travelers entering the United States. Psaki said the administration is considering what is “most implementable” but noted that “our most important factor is what is going to be most effective.”
The omicron variant has been detected in three U.S. states, with Minnesota and Colorado confirming cases Thursday, a day after one was announced in California. The Minnesota patient had recently returned from a convention in New York City, leading officials there to say they expect to discover community spread. The Colorado patient had recently traveled to southern Africa for tourism purposes, officials said.
Researchers worry that omicron could prove more transmissible and more resistant to vaccines — but scientists are still trying to answer those questions.
Here’s what to know
People will be required to wear masks on airplanes, trains, buses and other transportation through March 18, according to senior Biden administration officials. The White House is also expected to confirm that all international travelers must take a coronavirus test one day before their flight to the United States.

Anthony S. Fauci, the United States’ top infectious-disease expert, said the Biden administration is preparing for a possible “variant-specific boost” of vaccinations.

GlaxoSmithKline announced Thursday that early laboratory testing indicates that its antibody-based covid-19 therapy, developed with U.S. partner Vir Biotechnology, is likely to be effective against the omicron variant of the virus.

Brilliant. Here in NY "Cuomo with Tits" declared a state of emergency upon the discovery of a single case. That person has fully recovered from very mild symptoms.

So Stairmaster Joe has decided to go full-on ape shit until March.

Over nothing.

DO NOTHING SENATE
Senate Sinks Into Quagmire of Dysfunction

December 2, 2021 at 4:00 pm EST By Taegan Goddard 44 Comments

“The House is beset by historically deep personal animus and vitriol. The Senate is plumbing its own depths of straight-up gridlock,” Politico reports.

“Democratic leaders’ decision to kick some critical business until the end of the year allowed them to write a new infrastructure law and near agreement on a social spending bill. But as the end of the year draws closer, impending deadlines for government funding, the debt ceiling and the annual defense bill are empowering a handful of Republicans to muck everything up — with potentially massive consequences.”

Biden Vows to Fight Omicron with ‘Science and Speed’

December 2, 2021 at 3:53 pm EST By Taegan Goddard 60 Comments

“President Biden, confronting a worrisome new coronavirus variant and the potential of a winter surge, laid out a new pandemic strategy on Thursday that includes
hundreds of vaccination sites aimed at families,
boosters for all adults,
new testing requirements for international travelers
and free at-home tests that will be covered by private insurers or available at community health centers,” the New York Times reports.

“The push to expand access to at-home testing is a tacit acknowledgment by the White House that vaccination, which the president has touted as the path out of the pandemic, is not enough on its own.”

Washington Post:
“The omicron variant has been detected in three U.S. states, with Minnesota and Colorado confirming cases Thursday, a day after one was announced in California.”

BIDEN WILL GET IT DONE.
THE REPUBLICANS WILL ONLY SIT ANDBITCH.

CIA Report Shows Trump Abandoned His Duty

The CIA who are a pack of kiddie diddlers like you pederast?

Over the past 14 years, the Central Intelligence Agency has secretly amassed credible evidence that at least 10 of its employees and contractors committed sexual crimes involving children.

Though most of these cases were referred to US attorneys for prosecution, only one of the individuals was ever charged with a crime. Prosecutors sent the rest of the cases back to the CIA to handle internally, meaning few faced any consequences beyond the possible loss of their jobs and security clearances. That marks a striking deviation from how sex crimes involving children have been handled at other federal agencies such as the Department of Homeland Security and the Drug Enforcement Administration. CIA insiders say the agency resists prosecution of its staff for fear the cases will reveal state secrets.

The revelations are contained in hundreds of internal agency reports obtained by BuzzFeed News through Freedom of Information Act lawsuits.

One employee had sexual contact with a 2-year-old and a 6-year-old. He was fired. A second employee purchased three sexually explicit videos of young girls, filmed by their mothers. He resigned. A third employee estimated that he had viewed up to 1,400 sexually abusive images of children while on agency assignments. The records do not say what action, if any, the CIA took against him. A contractor who arranged for sex with an undercover FBI agent posing as a child had his contract revoked.

Only one of the individuals cited in these documents was charged with a crime. In that case, as in the only previously known case of a CIA staffer being charged with child sexual crimes, the employee was also under investigation for mishandling classified material.

Really?

We haven't even spent it all from the LAST bullshit bill yet. -

The federal government enacted six pieces of legislation in response to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, authorizing an estimated total of $5.7 trillion for new and existing programs according to the Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget (CRFB). As of November 2021, about $4.9 trillion, or 85 percent of the authorized amount, has been committed or disbursed. Some of the $850 billion in remaining funds, such as the increased federal support for state Medicaid programs, are expected to be spent over the following years. Other funding may not be used because of lower-than-expected demand — for example, certain loans for small businesses. Below is a breakdown of the estimated remaining funds for COVID-19 relief programs.

Here's the breakdown, and it's a fucking embarrassment.:

So we’ve all been arguing about a provision that does nothing. Classic politics

I would be willing to subsidize a Chevy Bolt for each leftist who wants to buy one as long as someone can assure me that the leftist will die in a car fire.

$12K for a dead leftist is a fair trade.

Soros STRIKES AGAIN

Krasner Strikes Again! Suspect In Murder Of Temple Student Walked After D.A. Dropped Armed Carjacking Charges Against Him

The suspect in the murder of a 21 year-old Temple University student was arrested on Aug. 14th and charged with eight crimes in connection with an armed carjacking, including aggravated assault, robbery, conspiracy and possession of an unlicensed gun.

A judge set bail that day at $200,000 monetary, meaning the suspect, Latif Williams, 17, had to plunk down a 10% deposit of $20,000 to get out of jail.

The cops did their job. But then it was the duty of the D.A.'s office under Larry Krasner to prosecute the case. What happened next helps explain why Philadelphia today has already set an all-time record of 510 murders, with a whole month left to go in 2021.

The national weather service is preparing for a Marxist revolution against Trump!

A widespread and intense heatwave is roasting large portions of the U.S. and Canada, shattering daily and monthly temperature records.

Why it matters: Winter is the fastest-warming season across the U.S., and the lingering warmth is shortening the snow season in places like Colorado and Montana, where mountain snowpack is a critical source of water during the summer months.

The big picture: On Wednesday, British Columbia saw its highest temperature ever recorded during the month of December, with a high of 72.5°F recorded in Penticton, which is 250 miles east of Vancouver. This tied the country's all-time record high for the month.

By the numbers: Temperatures across the Plains, portions of the Rockies and Central states are running as much as 35°F above average for this time of year.

Four states have tied or broken records for the hottest temperatures seen during December: Washington, Montana, Wyoming and North Dakota, according to weather historian Maximiliano Herrera. In Denver, Colorado, which often picks up heavy snow at the start and end of winter, it has not yet snowed, setting a record for the latest measurable snowfall. The forecast high temperature on Thursday is in the mid-70s, about 30°F above average for this time of year.Records are expected to fall Thursday in Denver, Omaha, Oklahoma City and Kansas City, Missouri among other locations. According to Herrera, Hettinger, North Dakota, located just north of the South Dakota border, hit 71°F on Wednesday, setting a monthly record for the state. The warmth, combined with powerful atmospheric river events rolling in off the Pacific Ocean has eaten away at the snowpack in the Pacific Northwest and Canadian Rockies, contributing to flooding at lower elevations.

Context: The proximate cause of the warmth is a sprawling area of high pressure, or heat dome, parked across the West, with the clockwise flow of air around it pumping mild air across the region.

This weather feature has been deflecting storminess far to the north, and prevented colder air — record cold currently lurks in Alaska, for example — from spilling south.Long-term trends also favor more frequent and intense extreme heat events. This ongoing event is likely to make the already lopsided balance between warm and cold records in the U.S. for 2021 even more in favor of the warm milestones, possibly by more than a 2 to 1 margin. If the climate were not warming, one would expect such records to have a ratio of about one-to-one, especially over the course of a decade or more, but those figures are skewed too.

What's next: The National Weather Service's Climate Prediction Center heavily favors continued milder than average conditions across much of the Lower 48 states during the next two weeks, after a temporary cool down this weekend.

Beyond that point, however, there may be a pattern change in the works, thanks in part to a typhoon currently spinning across the northwestern Pacific Ocean.

The right wing media is attacking Mike Pence because he's not loyal enough.

POSTED ON DECEMBER 2, 2021 BY PAUL MIRENGOFF IN 2020 PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION, TRUMP ADMINISTRATION

DID CHRIS CHRISTIE DELIVER? NO

BUT WHO ELSE?

Earlier this week, I wrote about how Chris Christie ripped his former ally Donald Trump for not delivering on key agenda items as president. I agreed generally with Christie’s complaint, but noted that, as Trump’s term went on and he replaced some of his early appointees, the delivery improved.

I suggested several possible explanations for why Trump got off to a slow start, but omitted an important one — Chris Christie.

A friend reminds me that, as a candidate for president, Trump tapped Christie to head his transition team. Unfortunately, Christie did very little, if anything, to prepare for the transition. Perhaps he assumed that Hilary Clinton would win the election. Many of us did, but that’s no excuse for Christie to have ignored performing his assigned duty.

Soon after the election, Christie’s dereliction of duty became evident to Trump. Therefore, on November 11, the president-elect fired him.

Officially, vice president-elect Pence took over as transition team head. In practice, it fell to the law firm of Jones Day to build a transition team from nothing. The firm assigned some associates to work fulltime on vetting people just to work on the transition. All of this work was pro bono.

Chris Christie isn’t the only reason why the Trump administration failed to deliver in important ways — far from it. It was Hang Mike Pence because he failed to overturn the election!

House Passes Funding Bill
December 2, 2021 at 5:40 pm EST By Taegan Goddard 208 Comments

“House lawmakers on Thursday adopted a bill to fund the federal government into early next year, but a Republican revolt in the Senate against President Biden’s vaccine policies threatened to grind the government to a halt,” the Washington Post reports.

“The 221-212 vote in the House marked an important development if lawmakers hope to stave off a shutdown set that is set to occur at midnight Friday. But its fate in the Senate seemed in great doubt, as Republicans doubled down in opposition to its swift passage with just over 24 hours before the crucial fiscal deadline.”

Yes. Double down. Do. Please DO.
