A look back at the winners and losers of 2021

Winners:

The runners up

Tom Brady - I think he made the list last year, too. But he did technically win his 257th Super Bowl in 2021, so it makes sense to put him in the list again. Not many winners to choose from either way.

Joe Manchin - If nothing else, Joe Manchin went from little known Senator to someone that is talked about in almost every political discussion. He could be the most powerful politician in 2021.

Matthew Frank. Erin Eldridge, Jerry Blackwell and Steve Schleicher - Who? Well this was the prosecution team in the Derek Chauvin George Floyd trial. They ran over the judge, the law, and eventually got the political conviction that many felt necessary.

Glenn Youngkin - Probably the first of many Republicans who will win races that they were supposed to lose. He played the close but not too close to Donald Trump card perfectly and allowed his opponent to do what Democrats do best. Mess up.

Parents - Parents stepped up and called out schools and teachers on things like CRT and Covid shut downs. When the Biden Justice department decided to brand them domestic terrorists, the general public sided with the parents. Even the courts stepped up and ruled that school boards could not shut down the dissent.

Donald Trump - Joe Biden's failures are Donald Trump successes. He continues to stay relevant and no matter how hard the media tries to cover it up, the election problems Trump highlights remain in the limelight.

Election Security - All those laws that passed (and pissed off Democrats) will make much of the problems we have seen much tougher to pull off. This is considered a good thing for about 75% of the country and a bad thing for those who still believes cheating should be allowed.

First runner up

Kyle Rittenhouse - Became sort of a folk hero and unlike most political trials, Rittenhouse got a just verdict. I am guessing if Kyle had it to do all over, he would have stayed home. But he did what he did, there was some points proven, and ultimately he showed that fair trials are still possible in the right environment.

2021 winner of the year!

Covid
Covid kicked Dr Fauci, Joe Biden, and everyone else's collective asses. Our President had a foolproof plan to stop Covid in its tracks, but Covid said not today! Fauci and Biden down for the count!

Losers:

The runners up

Derick Chauvin - Will spend upwards of two decades in jail for murder, when the actual charges against him should have been manslaughter at best. Was caught up in politics and was the sacrificial lamb in the name of justice for extremely high criminal drug addicts who resist arrest.

Jussie Smollett - The epitome of someone so convinced in his own righteousness that he felt it okay to make up a fake hate crime to prove a point. Turns out that making up a hate crime is actually a crime? Who knew? Well he knows now.

Liz Cheney - So tied to her hatred of Trump that she is now a homeless politician. Politically she is way too conservative to be a Democrat. But her anti-Trump hatred makes it impossible for her to continue as any sort of Republican with hope for the future.

Gage Grosskreutz - Chased an armed 17 year old, pointed his gun at him, and was shot in the arm for his trouble. On top of that, he made a complete fool of himself at the trial. It was like a Monty Python skit.

Kamala Harris - The worst Vice President in history? Well she makes Dan Quayle look downright smart. This is the what is called a diversity hire.

Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer - Couldn't herd their cats and ended up dooming much of the Biden agenda. Probably not totally their fault, but the progressives and moderates alike are blaming them.

Jan 6th commission - This started out with almost universal support. But after moving into the areas of conspiracy theories and partisan attempt to find a crime to pin on Trump, support has crashed and the entire idea of just continuing the investigation is now underwater.

Dr Anthony Fauci - Maybe the worst doctor since Frankenstein. Of course Frankenstein was making his monster, Fauci just doesn't know how to deal with his. Of course, now he believes that he "is" science, making him as delusional as his boss sitting in the White House.

Women's sports - As biological males continue to join and dominate the ranks of women's sports, the best of the best female athletes are being left behind. We want so desperately to be inclusive that we don't understand that sometimes this inclusion causes problems for the other 99.9%.

First runner up

The Cuomo brothers - Sex scandals, Covid hypocrisy, arrogance beyond belief. Both are out their jobs and have been branded as losers. Couldn't have happened to less nicer guys.

2021 loser of the year!

Joe "let's go Brandon" Biden

No explanation needed here. In his wildest nightmares, I doubt Biden saw himself in his current predicament. Of course, he might not be bright and cognitive enough to see exactly how bad things are.

The New York Post goes one step further!

The Biden presidency stands for more than incompetence, bad governance, and the loss of American prestige around the world. This White House has also demonstrated a willingness to endanger Americans and non-Americans alike in pursuit of its political and ideological goals, particularly in its actions in Afghanistan and at the southern border.

Much of this conduct, under reverse partisan circumstances, would trigger not only media hysteria but, quite likely, impeachment.

Biden is fortunate in the fact that his cognition has reached such a low level, he barely realizes what day it is let alone the colossal consequences of his actions. He is, quite literally, fucking clueless. And as they say, ignorance is bliss.

The rest of us are basically fucked.

This clown is only one year into a four year clusterfuck, and with no self or situational awareness to control his urge to "fuck things up" as 0linsky warned us, we're in for a rough ride. Winning congress away from the democrats will help somewhat, but when folks with severe cognitive decline feel like they're losing control, they lash out, capable of bigger and bigger fuck ups until they expire. I've seen it first hand.

And then? Then we get a cum-guzzling whore whose raw intellect on her best day roughly equals Slow Joe on his worst.

Trump Ally Hands Over Docs House Select Committee
January 1, 2022 at 8:25 am EST By Taegan Goddard 93 Comments

“A key adviser to Donald Trump’s legal team in their post-election quest to unearth evidence of fraud has delivered a trove of documents to Jan. 6 investigators describing those efforts,” Politico reports.

“Bernard Kerik, the former New York City Police commissioner and ally of Trump attorney Rudy Giuliani, also provided a ‘privilege log’ describing materials he declined to provide to the committee.

“Among the withheld documents is one titled ‘DRAFT LETTER FROM POTUS TO SEIZE EVIDENCE IN THE INTEREST OF NATIONAL SECURITY FOR THE 2020 ELECTIONS.’ Kerik’s attorney Timothy Parlatore provided the privilege log to the panel, which said the file originated on Dec. 17, a day before Trump huddled in the Oval Office with advisers including former Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn, where they discussed the option of seizing election equipment in states whose results Trump was attempting to overturn.”

Piece of shit LIAR Fauci:

In a Thursday appearance on MSNBC, America's top Covid official, Dr. Anthony Fauci, admitted to a distinction between the number of children hospitalized with Covid as opposed to "because of Covid."

"And what we mean by that: If a child goes into the hospital, they automatically get tested for COVID and they get counted as a COVID-hospitalized individual, when, in fact, they may go in for a broken leg or appendicitis or something like that. So it’s over counting the number of children who are, quote, hospitalized with COVID as opposed to because of COVID," said Fauci.

Derek Chauvin leading lonely 'dismal' life behind bars after George Floyd murder conviction: report

Tom Boggioni

January 01, 2022

According to a report from TMZ, Derek Chauvin, the former Minneapolis police officer who is currently serving 22 and a half years in prison for kneeling on the neck of George Floyd which led to Floyd's death, is living a lonely existence while serving his time in an enhanced security cell.

Chauvin, whose trial and conviction became the focus of the country after years of white police officers walking away after killing innocent Black suspects, is currently being held inside the Minnesota Correctional Facility-Oak Park Heights while awaiting trial on federal charges.

According to sources speaking with TMZ, Chauvin's life is "dismal" as he spends all but one hour a day locked in his cell by himself.

RELATED: 'That's not the same guy': QAnon supporters believe Derek Chauvin was replaced with imposter at sentencing

TMZ reports Chauvin "is experiencing the consequences of his actions, leading a dismal life in prison, under intense security and with few freedoms ... a fate he sealed for himself."

The former police officer has been locked up for eight months since his conviction, with TMZ now reporting, "He's got surveillance cameras on his every move, and the prison staff checks on him every 30 mins."

According to the report, a contact within the facility explained that "Chauvin remains isolated, without job opportunities, educational programs or contact with other inmates. Not only that ... he showers, eats, goes to the bathroom and sleeps all in the same cell. We're told he gets about an hour each day outside his cell for exercise."

Chauvin recently pleaded guilty to the federal charges and could receive up to 25 years after which he reportedly will be moved to a new facility.

A pandemic-scarred year ends in darkness --
but with hope on the horizon

[REASONS FOR HOPE BOLDFACED BELOW]

Analysis by Stephen Collinson, CNN

The year dawned in a blaze of hope that new, effective Covid-19 vaccines -- free and available to all -- would deliver the country from the worst public health emergency in 100 years, in which 350,000 Americans had already died. The promise of a new President, Joe Biden, to shut down the virus rang in the nation's ears after his predecessor had lied about Covid-19's severity, botched the government response and prized his political goals over its health.

But the year ends in a dark place. Hospitals are flooded with Covid-19 patients, the transportation network is seizing up, and a new coronavirus variant -- Omicron -- is finding even the most careful citizens.

This year was deadlier then the last. More than 820,000 have now perished in the United States alone from Covid-19. The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is predicting 44,000 deaths in the next four weeks. The once-unthinkable figure of a million lost Americans looks depressingly credible, and another White House has often seemed outmatched and hoping in vain for best-case scenarios to unfold as the virus stages fresh assaults.

"I think that right now we're in the public health crisis of our lifetimes," Dr. Jonathan Reiner, professor of medicine and surgery at George Washington University, told CNN on Thursday.

He spoke as hospitalizations are rising fast, across the country -- including in New York, Michigan, Colorado and Maryland -- and the Delta variant of the coronavirus clings on and causes vicious hotspots elsewhere.

Another expert, Michael Osterholm -- whose analysis has been borne out by events in the pandemic -- warned that potentially 10% to 20% of the US workforce could be infected at any one time, a figure that could trigger chaos in the health care, food, retail and travel sectors -- not to mention when schools are back in session after the holidays next week.
"It will be a matter of weeks before we have an entire viral blizzard across this country," Osterholm, director of the Center for Infectious Disease Research and Policy at the University of Minnesota, told CNN's Laura Coates on Wednesday.

A new phase of the crisis
The frightening reality of the month to come suggests little reason for any national mood of celebration or new beginnings this New Year's Eve.

Yet this latest phase of the pandemic, a global nightmare now heading into its third year, has been the most disorienting so far. But, paradoxically, Omicron's surge of ubiquitous infection may contain within it seeds of hope.

While it is infecting many more people than earlier strains of the virus and so proportionally will send more to the hospital — a crisis that could buckle the medical system — Omicron seems to cause less serious and prolonged disease, according to a growing body of scientific evidence. For many Americans who are fully vaccinated and boosted, it is not as threatening as previous waves of virus — and may even manifest as a cold or cause no symptoms.

However, that doesn't mean that the 90 million residents who either are not eligible or have chosen to spurn vaccines — many for political reasons — are not still at severe risk, since their chances of dodging infection are now many times worse with the new variant.

Overwhelmingly, the dying are those who decided not to protect themselves.

Honest, decent, truthful Rev. said...

But there is also now the promise not just of injections and boosters to ward off Covid-19 but of highly effective new therapies, including Pfizer's first antiviral pill expected to be available in sufficient quantities within months to save lives. Biden's promise of 500 million rapid Covid-19 tests available to any American who wants one could begin to fix a consistent failing of the across two administrations. Kids between the ages of 12 and 15 could get the green light to get their booster shots soon, taking another load off the minds of parents of older children. There's also reason to believe that the increased transmissibility of Omicron could mean that its wave could ebb as quickly as it built.
"It certainly peaked pretty quickly in South Africa. It went up almost vertically and turned around very quickly," the government's top infectious disease specialist, Dr. Anthony Fauci, said on CNBC on Thursday.

"I would imagine, given the size of our country, and the diversity of vaccination versus not vaccination, that it likely will be more than a couple of weeks, probably by the end of January, I would think," he said.

The variant's increased infectious properties are also changing the way the nation is fighting the pandemic -- and could pave the way to a more sustainable response in which people learn to live alongside the virus. For instance, the CDC this week reduced isolation time from 10 days to five days for people with a positive Covid-19 test who don't have symptoms or whose symptoms are resolving — as long as they mask up for a further five days.
The move was a recognition that society -- and especially health care systems -- could not function during the current wave with the older rules. The decision was also in line with behavioral science after officials weighed just how much more people were willing to tolerate, a sign that -- whatever their leaders say -- Americans are desperate and increasingly willing to take back their own lives.

Coldheartedtruth Teller said...

On soars he had moral integrity.

I almost became a Republican in 1980. But Reagan reversed the Republicans who actually voted for civil rights act laws and voting rights act. And started top down economics.

Honest, decent, truthful Rev. said...

There are undeniably positive signs of a country beginning to adapt to a new kind of life, where Covid-19, after the winter wave, may turn into sinister background music rather than a life-changing threat, at least in warmer months.

"Facts are important because facts can spread fear," Eric Adams, the mayor-elect of New York City, told reporters on Thursday.

"Facts can also allow people to know that this is not at the place where we have morgues outside of hospitals, where we're seeing people dying at alarming rates. We are not where we were in the beginning," Adams said.

The fact that so many Americans who get infected will get only a mild case of the disease, a few sniffles or a sore throat for example, is beginning to trigger a debate about the extent to which society should simply move on. The situation is clearly far different than the beginning of the crisis, when vaccines were not available and social distancing, masking and lockdowns were the only defense.

The economy is also in far better shape this holiday season than last, though the Omicron wave will keep wary revelers out of restaurants and bars this holiday weekend and could take some of the heat out of the rebound. Goldman Sachs predicted the variant could knock US economic growth down to 3.8% next year, from an anticipated 4.2%.

Americans also have money to spend. According to Mastercard, retail sales were up 8.5% year-on-year this holiday, though the biggest economic cloud -- rising inflation brought about by the shockwaves of the pandemic -- is a real drag for many working people and could significantly dim the prospects of Democrats in November's midterm elections.

Day one.

Honest, decent, truthful Rev. said...

There's no healing America's tortured politics
Biden's own political problems deepened the longer the year went on, with the pandemic exacerbating his struggle to make the best of slim Democratic congressional majorities.
He's not alone. The once-in-a-century challenges of a pandemic have left many world and local leaders — at least those in democracies — diminished. The sheer volume of unpopular, impossible decisions they must make is remarkable and fast erodes political capital they had hoped to spend on other things.

But Biden has also had his own missteps -- like a partial declaration of victory over the virus on July Fourth, even at a moment when it was clear that the Delta variant that would cause a summer wave was lurking in the US. After promising for months to overhaul US testing capabilities, he now admits his administration was slow to crank up the production of rapid antigen tests ahead of the arrival of a far more infectious variant than previous viral strains.

Yet Biden has also been hampered by a relentless effort by Republicans to weaponize the pandemic for political gain. Ex-President Donald Trump may have belatedly decided to speak up for vaccines developed on his watch, but a relentless propaganda blitz by conservative media and right-wing populist politicians has contributed to low take-up levels and many deaths.

According to a CNN analysis in December, the risk of dying from Covid-19 is more than 50% higher in states that voted for Trump than Biden since vaccines became available. Some Republican governors, clearly eyeing potential presidential runs, like Florida's Ron DeSantis, South Dakota's Kristi Noem and Greg Abbott of Texas, made themselves figureheads for opposing masking and vaccine mandates in schools and the workplace.

They may argue that signs the rest of the country is beginning to live with Covid-19 made them pioneers. But their disdain for public health surely exerted a horrible price in terms of sickness and death. The Republican Party's propensity to create fantasy worlds, as with its embrace of Trump's election fraud lies, is also evident in its pandemic denial and tolerance for attacks on public health officials like Fauci.

"Real America is done with #COVID19. The only people who don't understand that are Fauci and Biden," Ohio Republican Rep. Jim Jordan tweeted earlier this month, days before hospitals started filling up again.

The national divides widened by Covid-19 have proved that nothing, not even a virus that infects without political favor, can mend the estrangement of a polarized nation.
More broadly, it may be hard to hope that life will be more normal — if anyone can remember what that feels like — on New Year's Eve 2022. The fight against a virus that is always one step ahead is relentless and draining. The lack of vaccines in the developing world means it's quite feasible another, more dangerous variant will develop and set back this year's progress.

Yet while Covid-19 will almost certainly not be eradicated in a year's time, medical advances and societal shifts mean that less draconian ways of dealing with it may be at hand. That's something to hope for in the New Year.

The suicide bomber who killed almost 200 people and 13 American troops at Kabul’s airport in August had previously been caught by the CIA—but he was released from jail by the Taliban during the chaotic final days of the fall of Afghanistan. That fatal act could violate the shaky deal struck by the Trump administration with the Taliban, in which the Islamic fundamentalist group promised that it would not allow al-Qaeda and Islamic State terrorists to attack Americans. And it could also open the door to more U.S. military attacks in Afghanistan months after the Biden administration’s disastrous exit and formal end to the United States’ longest war.

The fake news media said that they have made a mistake!

Florida Gov Ron DeSantis’s team told Fox News that he was accompanying his wife to cancer treatments after Democrats criticised him for going missing amid a Covid-19 spike in the state.

The Republican governor, considered a potential contender for the 2024 presidential nomination, reduced public appearances amid a spike in Covid-19 cases and not held a public press conference since 17 December.

Florida is facing a daily average of about 36,781 according to The New York Times. Two weeks ago, the state had about a 2,600 daily average but the Omicron variant and people travelling to the state for the holiday season has caused an increase.

In response, Democrats like Orange County Mayor Jerry Demings assailed the governor, saying Floridians should “should ask the question, ‘Where is our state? Where is our governor? Where is Ron DeSantis now?’ When is the last time you saw the governor do a press briefing on Covid-19?” The governor has vocally opposed both mask mandates and limited businesses’ ability to impose vaccine mandates.

Mr DeSantis’s wife Casey, with whom he has three children, was diagnosed with breast cancer in October and and the governor told Fox at the time that “Casey is the centerpiece of our family and has made an impact on the lives of countless Floridians through her initiatives as first lady.”

But WFLA reported that the governor will make his first public appearance in two weeks for a “Let Us Worship Miami” event for New Year’s Eve ahead of the Orange Bowl.

Let's go Brandon.

Coldheartedtruth Teller said...

Even CNN said the same thing you said that they had censored by CNN

(CNN)2021 wasn't supposed to end like this.

The year dawned in a blaze of hope that new, effective Covid-19 vaccines -- free and available to all like Biden said-- would deliver the country from the worst public health emergency in 100 years, in which 350,000 Americans had already died.

He spoke as hospitalizations are rising fast, across the country -- including in New York, Michigan, Colorado and Maryland -- and the Delta variant of the coronavirus clings on and causes vicious hotspots. Democratic states

NEW YORK (AP) — Alvin Bragg has already notched one historic first, taking office Saturday as Manhattan’s first Black district attorney. Now he’s weighing another: whether to make Donald Trump the first former president ever charged with a crime.

As district attorney, Bragg inherited an investigation into Trump and his business practices from his predecessor, Cyrus Vance Jr., who declined to seek reelection last year after 12 years in the high-profile job.

After weeks of speculation about whether Vance would close his tenure with a bang by indicting Trump, the former D.A. has passed that decision to Bragg, a 48-year-old civil rights lawyer and former federal prosecutor who was sworn in at a private ceremony, in part because of COVID-19 concerns.

Bragg told CNN last month that he’ll be directly involved in the Trump matter. He also said he has asked the two veteran prosecutors who led the case under Vance — general counsel Carey Dunne and former mafia prosecutor Mark Pomerantz — to stay on and see it through.

A key adviser to Donald Trump’s legal team in their post-election quest to unearth evidence of fraud has delivered a trove of documents to Jan. 6 investigators describing those efforts.

Bernard Kerik, the former New York City Police commissioner and ally of Trump attorney Rudy Giuliani, also provided a “privilege log” describing materials he declined to provide to the committee.

Among the withheld documents is one titled “DRAFT LETTER FROM POTUS TO SEIZE EVIDENCE IN THE INTEREST OF NATIONAL SECURITY FOR THE 2020 ELECTIONS.” Kerik’s attorney Timothy Parlatore provided
the privilege log to the panel, which said the file originated on Dec. 17, a day before Trump huddled in the Oval Office with advisers including former Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn, where they discussed the option of seizing election equipment in states whose results Trump was attempting to overturn.

Trump ultimately opted against that strategy, but his consideration of the option is one of the key questions the panel is probing as part of its broader investigation into attempts to overturn the election.

It’s unclear whether the letter is related to the same plan and if Trump knew of its existence. Kerik withheld it, describing it as privileged because of its classification as “attorney work product.”

Another document provided by Kerik to the panel included emails between Kerik and associates about paying for rooms at the Willard Hotel. One year after the deadly attack on the U.S. Capitol, Republicans and Democrats are deeply divided over what happened that day and the degree to which former president Donald Trump bears responsibility for the assault, amid more universal signs of flagging pride in the workings of democracy at home, according to a Washington Post-University of Maryland poll.
Partisan divisions related both to the Jan. 6 assault and the 2020 presidential election color nearly every issue raised in the survey, from how much violence occurred at the Capitol that day to the severity of the sentences handed down to convicted protesters to whether President Biden was legitimately elected. Only on a question about injured law enforcement officers is there broad bipartisan agreement.
The percentage of Americans who say violent action against the government is justified at times stands at 34 percent, which is considerably higher than in past polls by The Post or other major news organizations dating back more than two decades. Again, the view is partisan: The new survey finds 40 percent of Republicans, 41 percent of independents and 23 percent of Democrats saying violence is sometimes justified.

Well according to Fauci and Birx (at the time) he listened to them fully. Birx's own cover her own ass after the fact claims aside, nobody has really pointed to anything "tangible" to suggest that there was anything different that should have been done.

Other than possibly Fauci lying about mask wearing and Pfizer being pressured to wait till "after the election" to introduce that they had a vaccine... the latter entirely for political reasons.

But we know that our current President demanded he had a plan (when he didn't) - told Americans that July 4th 2021 was independence day from Covid (when it wasn't). We also know that he seems to be relying entirely on the failed opinions of Dr Fauci who should have been fired and replaced by someone who at least acknowledges that other countries are doing a MUCH BETTER JOB than we are at battling the pandemic.

'I just can't': Dr. Deborah Birx privately blasted the Trump White House's COVID-19 strategy while publicly giving it 'cover,' emails show
Grace Panetta Dec 22, 2021, 9:17 AM

Dr. Deborah Birx raised alarms about Trump's COVID-19 strategy, while publicly covering for it.
New emails obtained by Congress show Birx objecting to the herd-immunity approach.
"I just can't," Birx wrote in an August 25, 2020, email to other top US officials.
Get a daily selection of our top stories based on your

Dr. Deborah Birx, the former White House coronavirus-response coordinator, said the Trump White House's approach to COVID-19 would contribute to an "unacceptable death toll," especially among people of color, while publicly giving the strategy "cover," newly published emails show.

On August 24, 2020, Birx pulled out of a planned White House roundtable featuring a small group of outside medical experts advising the White House, according to new emails obtained by the House select subcommittee on the coronavirus.

The group included people who publicly advocated for limiting coronavirus restrictions and pushed a herd-immunity strategy that, in theory, would have focused on protections for the most vulnerable populations, like older people, and limited mitigation strategies (like masking and social distancing) for the rest of the population.

Trump's prepared remarks for the roundtable said that "unending lockdowns" were "not a science based approach — and it would inflict grave harm on our children and our entire society."

On the morning of August 25, 2020, Birx wrote an email to Vice President Mike Pence's chief of staff at the time, Marc Short, explaining why she couldn't be part of the roundtable.

"I can't be part of this with these people who believe in herd immunity and believe we are fine with only protecting the 1.5M Americans in LTCF and not the 80M+ with co-morbidities in the populations included in the unacceptable death toll among Native Americans, Hispanics, and Blacks," Birx wrote to Short, referring to long-term-care facilities as LTCF.

Most experts said at the time that isolating vulnerable people from the rest of the population was not feasible because of the highly transmissible nature of COVID-19 and that getting to herd immunity through infecting most of the population (before the rollout of vaccines) would lead to a staggering number of deaths. The higher rates of transmission would have also made it exceedingly hard to shield the most vulnerable.

Birx said the death toll could rise to 500,000 by the time the US had a vaccine, adding: "Without masks and social distancing in public and homes we end up with twice as many deaths — we are a very unhealthy nation with a lot of obesity etc."

The group at the August 25, 2020, White House roundtable included Dr. Scott Atlas and Dr. Jay Bhattacharya of Stanford, the Harvard biostatistician Martin Kulldorff, Dr. Cody Meissner of Tufts University, and Dr. Joseph Ladapo, who was at the University of California, Los Angeles, at the time and is now Florida's surgeon general.

"These are people who believe that all curves are predetermined and mitigation is irrelevant — they are a fringe group without grounding in epidemics, public health, or on the ground common sense experience," Birx said of the group.

Honest, decent, truthful Rev. said...

Birx then said she was "happy to go out of town or whatever gives the WH cover for Weds," adding that she could do an event in Annapolis, Maryland, with Gov. Larry Hogan and perhaps Dr. Anthony Fauci, the nation's top infectious-disease expert and the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases.

Later that morning, Birx forwarded the email she sent to Short to Fauci, then-Food and Drug Administration Commissioner Stephen Hahn, and then-Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Director Robert Redfield with the added message: "I just can't."

About the same time in 2020, Birx left the Washington, DC, area on a nationwide tour to promote COVID-19-mitigation strategies around the country.

October 2020 emails in the same batch obtained by the select committee included discussions between Fauci and Dr. Francis Collins, now the outgoing National Institutes of Health director, on how they could best refute the claims of those pushing the herd-immunity strategy advocated in the Great Barrington Declaration.

Collins called the declaration a "proposal from the three fringe epidemiologists," adding: "There needs to be a quick and devastating published take down of its premises."

For the Left, January 6 has become their Reichstag Fire. They took an event with minimal damage that was resolved quickly, and turned it into a blanket excuse for an unprecedented power grab, with the entirety of their political opposition in the crosshairs.

Our Bastille?

That is why, above all else, the Right should stop trying to qualify their stances on January 6 with an obligatory disavowal, or an “I’m not like those conservatives” statement, in an attempt to appease the Left. The Left sees all 74 million Trump voters, and all white Americans, as enemies, regardless of how they feel about January 6. Some so-called “leaders” on the Right will go out of their way to denounce the January 6 protesters, yet in the end, everyone who does not submit to the Left’s agenda will eventually be taken out.

January 6 may largely have been about voter fraud in the 2020 election, but that was not the only motivation. January 6 was a reaction to a long train of abuses and usurpations perpetrated against the American people by an entrenched elite class that has infected our institutions.

The only course of action at this point is to be just as firm in our stance as the Left is. If they truly want to address January 6 by making dramatic historical comparisons, then so should we. If their aim is to make January 6 their Reichstag Fire, then we should go forward celebrating the events of that day as our Storming of the Bastille; a day where a symbol of the degeneration of our ruling class into total corruption and tyranny was challenged, and the elites were shown just what happens when millions of freedom-loving citizens finally grow sick and tired of a boot perpetually stomping on their necks. The parallels between France in 1789 and America in 2022 are stronger than one might think; we even have our very own Marie Antoinette during The French Revolution

It should not have had to come to this point, but the Left has forced the nation to this brink, whether we like it or not. One side is prepared to do everything necessary to secure their political power, so the other side must be prepared to resist every step of the way with equal determination. One side understands the stakes at play as we enter this brave new world; so too must the other side. One side understands that January 6 was a turning point in our history. Our side, once again, needs to catch up, and take arms.

If you were truly honest you might also admit that any "expert" who gets so offended by other views that they have to leave the room is not very mature.

If you, Ch, were honest you would admit that she preferred to leave Washington rather than have her name connected to what was being decided. (But she should have stayed and stood up to Trump, as she now admits.)
====So it's you, Ch, not I, who are not being "truly honest." You twist everything to fit your thinking.

And that's lying. Like Trump.

Ch's 9:04 demonstates the perverse way he absolutely and without compunction distorts.

Trump has now placed Birx on his enemies list along with Fauci, now that she has started revealing how she felt all along and how she now wishes she had spoken up against Trump sooner.

And so she must now go on Ch's enemies list too.

Because Ch is now a Trump Quisling.

Actually Reverend...

Birx never said we used it. She was upset that Trump was meeting with a group that held that opinion.

So upset that she stormed out and sent out a whiny email saying "she just can't".

Then demanded that those opinions be attacked.

And btw... she could be upset to the level of 11 out of 10... and that doesn't make her right.

Why on earth would anyone associate the level of emotion with being correct about science?

Did you ever attend a science class?

Not worth a reply.
