The truth is that Joe Biden has always been a hothead and always been gaffe prone and has always said insensitive and stupid things. So hearing him call a Fox reporter a "stupid son of a bitch" thinking his mic was off (or did he) is about par for the course. The truth is with every fiber of his being, Joe Biden is working as hard as he possibly can to demonize those who disagree with him and divide the country to a degree we have not seen in our lifetimes.
Sure, there was a divide regarding the Trump Presidency. But the Trump administration did not go out of it's way to prosecute liberals for actions that they did not prosecute conservatives for. Trump may have said a lot of silly things and sent out a lot of silly tweets, but he did not use profanity while calling liberal reporters names. Trump did not go out on stage and call anyone who disagreed with him a racist.
Now one can make an argument that decorum wise Joe Biden is no worse than Trump. Some on the left will probably argue that he is better (although that is generally because people on the left were were so offended by positions and ideals they disagreed with that they still are obsessed with hating Trump). Leave it up to liberals to see policy choices as improper decorum or proof that you trying to upset people. But I at the end of the day, I would say that Biden makes a bigger effort to alienate people, while Trump just "did" upset liberals for just being a President they did not want.

Exactly one year after the Jan. 6 violence at the Capitol, Washington Governor Jay Inslee announced his support for a bill that his office said “would outlaw attempts by candidates and elected officials to spread lies about free and fair elections when it has the likelihood to stoke violence.” That bill would make such lies a gross misdemeanor, subject to up to 364 days in jail.
Inslee’s motives are laudable. But his solution—jailing people for political speech—raises substantial First Amendment problems. The debate playing out in Washington state is a broader illustration of the fragility of the robust First Amendment protections that courts have provided to speech for the past century. Some officials and commentators across the political spectrum are increasingly willing to sacrifice core free speech protections to address the problems of the day. And this illiberal trend should concern everyone, regardless of partisan affiliation.
In the press release, Inslee’s office tried to avoid First Amendment concerns by citing a 1969 Supreme Court case, Brandenburg v. Ohio, for the assertion that the Supreme Court “has made it clear that speech can be limited where it is likely to incite lawlessness.” That is a partial and misleading representation of the court’s holding. In Brandenburg, the Supreme Court reversed the conviction of an Ohio Ku Klux Klan leader, reasoning that “the constitutional guarantees of free speech and free press do not permit a State to forbid or proscribe advocacy of the use of force or of law violation except where such advocacy is directed to inciting or producing imminent lawless action and is likely to incite or produce such action.” The court’s requirement of imminence, and that the advocacy be “directed to” inciting or producing that action, makes this a very high bar for prosecutors to overcome.
Inslee also told the media that lying about elections is “yelling ‘fire’ in a crowded theater.” That justification also falls flat. As I wrote recently, that line comes from a 1919 Supreme Court opinion that allowed speech restrictions that posed a “clear and present danger,” a standard that the court overturned in Brandenburg.
Legislators released the bill’s text a few days later, and it is both ineffective and chilling. To the drafters’ credit, they largely use the Brandenburg standard, creating a gross misdemeanor for an elected official or candidate who:
knowingly makes false statements or claims regarding the election process or election results, which statements or claims are made for the purpose of undermining the election process or election results and are directed to inciting or producing imminent lawless action and such statements or claims produce such action, related to any election conducted in the state.
The bill would be ineffective because the Brandenburg standard is incredibly difficult to meet, and it is hard to conceive of many false election claims that would surpass this hurdle.

At 10:45 p.m. Sunday, the MND reported that 39 People's Liberation Army Air Force (PLAAF) aircraft had infringed on Taiwan's ADIZ. The aircraft included 24 Shenyang J-16 fighter jets, 10 Chengdu J-10 fighters, one Xi'an H-6 bomber, two Shaanxi Y-9 electronic warfare aircraft (Y-9 EW), and two Shaanxi Y-8 electronic intelligence spotter planes (Y-8 ELINT).

There were also 39 PLAAF military aircraft detected in the ADIZ on Oct. 2, 2021, the second-highest number recorded on one day. The all-time record for the most Chinese military aircraft seen in the zone in a single day was 56 on Oct. 4 of 2021.
On Saturday (Jan. 22), the U.S. Pacific Fleet announced on its Facebook page that five flattops from the U.S. and Japan had conducted a training exercise in the Philippine Sea that day. KYIV, Ukraine (AP) — Ukraine’s leaders sought Tuesday to reassure the nation that an invasion from neighboring Russia was not imminent, even as they acknowledged the threat is real and received a shipment of U.S. military equipment to shore up their defenses.
Moscow has denied it is planning an assault, but it has massed an estimated 100,000 troops near Ukraine in recent weeks and is holding military drills at multiple locations in Russia. That has led the United States and its NATO allies to rush to prepare for a possible war.
Several rounds of high stakes diplomacy have failed to yield any breakthroughs, and tensions escalated further this week. NATO said it was bolstering its deterrence in the Baltic Sea region, and the U.S. ordered 8,500 troops on higher alert for potential deployment to Europe as part of an alliance “response force” if necessary. British Prime Minister Boris Johnson also said he is prepared to send troops to protect NATO allies in Europe.
In a show of European unity in Berlin, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and French President Emmanuel Macron called for an easing of the crisis.
“We ... expect clear steps from Russia that will contribute to a de-escalation of the situation,” Scholz said.
Macron, who said he would talk with President Vladimir Putin by phone Friday, added: “If there is aggression, there will be retaliation and the cost will be very high.”
The U.S. and its allies have vowed to hit Russia with sanctions like never before if Moscow sends its military into Ukraine but they have provided few details, saying it’s best to keep Putin guessing.
The U.S. State Department has ordered the families of all American personnel at the U.S. Embassy in Kyiv to leave the country, and it said that nonessential embassy staff could leave. Britain said it, too, was withdrawing some diplomats and dependents from its embassy, and families of Canadian diplomatic staff also have been told to leave.
In Ukraine, however, authorities have sought to project calm in order not to destabilize the situation and avoid panic — and many citizens have expressed skepticism that there will be an invasion soon.
Speaking in the second televised speech to the nation in as many days, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy urged Ukrainians not to panic.
“We are strong enough to keep everything under control and derail any attempts at destabilization,” he said.
The decision by the U.S., Britain, Germany and Canada to withdraw some of their diplomats and dependents from Kyiv “doesn’t necessarily signal an inevitable escalation and is part of a complex diplomatic game,” he said. ”We are working together with our partners as a single team.”
Defense Minister Oleksii Reznikov told parliament that “as of today, there are no grounds to believe” Russia is preparing to invade imminently, noting that its troops have not formed what he called a battle group that could force its way through the border.
