For a country of around 40 million people, this represents about five percent or one out of twenty people, who have been so displaced from their homes that they have had to leave the entire country. This would not account for people who may have left battered town and cities, but have remained somewhere in Ukraine (possibly with relatives or such). There may be several million more in that category.
Not to mention that there may be millions more literally trapped in Kyiv, Kharkiv and other cities who would like to leave, but are being forced to remain. Who knows how many Ukrainians are currently without their homes that they were living in prior to this illegal war crime invasion.
Meanwhile the allegations of war atrocities has risen exponentially over the past few days. If half the things the Ukrainians are reporting is true, then we are well beyond war crimes. This morning it was said that the Russians were bombing a maternity hospital. This would be sick and cruel, whether or not it was even done on purpose.

The administration’s warnings to Moscow were unambiguous without being hysterical. Our revelations of intelligence unmasking Russian disinformation and false flag narratives were on the nose. Biden’s coordination with European allies was neither bullying nor “leading from behind,” but a skillful presentation of unity (special kudos to Secretary of State Antony Blinken). Biden’s muscular reaffirmation of the U.S. commitment to NATO was crucial not just for Europe but for the world. China is taking notes on how the globe is responding to Putin and perhaps thinking twice about trying to conquer Taiwan.

Well Reverend...
have already read that document which when I went back and looked was actually released back in 2021. It was an "assessment" (ie: guess) of what multiple countries did and is suggested that there were "proxies" from Russia that pushed unsubstantiated allegations against Biden (which when this was first brought up was suggested to be the information about Hunter Biden - which was actually true). The report provides no specific examples of anything. Just a vague one paragraph statement that makes some unproven allegations.
When something starts with the term "we assess" it is quite literally an admission that what they are saying is a guess, an estimation. Ultimately it is an admission that they did not have actual evidence to "conclude" ot to "report" or to do anything other than just throw out an opinion. You can "strongly assess" something, which is still as admission that you cannot actually conclude it with evidence.
On top of that, the report suggest that there was no attempts to alter the election by any groups.
Now our own intelligence has missed the boat on Russia and Trump in the most massive and destructive manner possible. They have ruined their own reputation in the eyes of many, and quite frankly this particular report was trotted out before much of the Durham investigations finding have come out showing that these agencies had a huge anti-Trump bias and a willingness to accept dubious intelligence that backed up their anti-Trump bias while ignoring other evidence.

A plane carrying former president Donald Trump suffered engine failure late Saturday evening over the Gulf of Mexico, forcing the pilot to make an emergency landing in New Orleans shortly after taking off from the city.

The Dassault Falcon 900 carried a retinue of Secret Service agents, other support staff, Trump and some of his advisers, the people said. One of the plane’s engines failed, according to people familiar with the episode.
The tracking data, reviewed by The Washington Post, show the plane started its journey in Texas, flew to Palm Beach on Saturday afternoon and then went to New Orleans. A map of the evening flight shows the plane was over the water when it turned around and went back to New Orleans, heading for Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport.

The Justice Department announced that they indicted Elena Branson (a.k.a Elena Chernykh) on five charges Tuesday, calling her a Russian spy. While she had no direct contact with former President Donald Trump, she is yet another alleged Russian spy working to promote him within United States and organize people to attend his rallies.
The Daily Beast first reported in 2021 that the FBI was probing the Coordinating Council of Russian Compatriots of the U.S. (known colloquially by its Russian acronym KSORS). They worked to promote Russian voices and policies through a kind of speakers bureau throughout the country.
"Branson, 61, is also alleged to have tried to get Trump to attend the 2016 World Chess Championship, which was being held at New York’s South Street Seaport," NBC News reported Tuesday evening. "Prosecutors said she emailed a Trump adviser on Nov. 10, 2016, asking that Trump, then the president-elect, attend the event. The FBI said in the court filing that it publicly released photos from the event to show it was attended by Dmitry Peskov, who is now Putin's press secretary. There is no indication that Trump attended."
Investigative reporter Scott Stedman reported for Forensic News that "investigators are also keenly interested in KSORS political activities, including rallying Trump supporters in 2020."

As The Independent report explained, the US Attorney's Office alleges that Branson communicated with high-ranking Russian, as well as Vladimir Putin himself, in an effort to open a "propaganda center" in New York City. She "received tens of thousands of dollars in funding from the Russian government" as she held events and worked on messaging directed by Russian officials the federal complaint says.
The court filing even goes on to explain that the conversations about messaging with Russian officials happened on conference calls that were recorded and then emailed to Branson.
According to the British monthly Byline Times, Branson and colleague Sergey Gladysh promoted the “Trump 2020 Labor Day Cruise Rally” in Portland, Oregon on the KSORS Facebook page. Gladysh created the Russian-American Cooperation Initiative, which promoted Trump and distributed Russian propaganda that are still available on internet archive sites.

U.S. Warns Russia Could Use Chemical Weapons

“U.S. officials say they are concerned Russia could be preparing to use chemical or biological weapons in Ukraine after the Russian Defense Ministry accused Ukraine of possibly planning a false-flag chemical weapon attack,”
NBC News reports.
An administration official said the U.S. is worried that the Russians are making the claim “to justify a false-flag operation or them using chemical or biological weapons in Ukraine themselves.”

President Joe Biden’s approval rating is on the rise — for now — in response to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and Biden’s State of the Union address last week.
Multiple surveys over the past week, including a new POLITICO/Morning Consult poll out Tuesday, show a modest-to-moderate uptick in voters’ views of Biden’s job performance, up from his low-water mark earlier this year.
Forty-five percent of registered voters surveyed in the POLITICO/Morning Consult poll approve of the job Biden is doing, up 4 points over the past week. But a narrow majority, 51 percent, still disapproves of Biden’s job performance.
That result follows two other post-State of the Union polls also showing a Biden bounce. An NPR/PBS Newshour/Marist poll released late last week showed a 7-point rise in Biden’s approval rating among registered voters, from 40 percent in February to 47 percent in the new survey. Biden’s bump was smaller in a Quinnipiac University poll out Monday: from 38 percent last week to 40 percent in the new poll.
Despite these recent rises, the overall trend for Biden over his 14 months in office has been down, driven by Covid resurgences and the drag of inflation on the strengthening economy. Covid’s wane continues, but gasoline prices, already climbing thanks to inflationary pressures, are spiking after Russia’s invasion.
In the POLITICO/Morning Consult poll, Biden’s gains came mostly from Democratic voters, suggesting the Ukraine crisis and his nationally televised address united elements of the president’s base but made few inroads with other voters. His approval rating among Democrats rose 7 points over the past week but was essentially unchanged among Republicans and independents.
Still, the crisis in Eastern Europe offers Biden a chance to reset his presidency as his party faces a challenging midterm election this fall. Slightly more voters in the POLITICO/Morning Consult poll, 46 percent, approve of the job Biden is doing handling the conflict between Ukraine and Russia than disapprove (42 percent).
“It’s not unusual for presidents to see their numbers improve immediately following a major address like a State of the Union, or for the so-called ‘rally around the flag’ effect to provide a similar boost when the country is facing a security threat,” Cameron Easley, the senior politics editor for Morning Consult, told POLITICO Playbook on Tuesday.
But, Easley added, such bounces tend to be fleeting.

Reuters went from 43 to 45, Economist went from 44 to 45, Quinnipiac went from 39 to 40 and Rasmussen went from 44 to 41. His overall approval is 42.5 in RCP a marginal improvement from the 40.6 he was at on March 1st (SOTU). But part of that was a couple of older polls in the 30s that dropped off due to being too old.
If that is the bump you were hoping for, then you were probably happy when you got socks and underwear for Christmas.

Washington (DC) - Former Trump Attorney General Bill Barr's recently released memoir, It Was One Fucking Thing After Another, But Don't Blame Me pulls no punches about how wrong then-president Trump was in trying to extort political blackmail from Ukraine.
"I had just mostly cleared the dumb fucker from all the Russiagate shit," writes Barr, "and had, through my misleading statements, obfuscation, and some deft jiggery-pokery pretty much put to bed any of the charges Trump and his campaign colluded with the Russians. Which they did, of course. In spades. And then the dumbest fuckstick on the planet makes that call to Zelensky. Unbelievable."
The Trump phone call Barr refers to is the one the president made on July 25th, 2019 to Ukraine president Zelensky. The Ukraine leader asked for more military aid from the US and Trump insisted, "“I would like you to do us a favour though.”
That favour was two-pronged: help Trump officials "find" a Democratic email server somehow thought to be in Ukraine, and further Ukraine investigations into Hunter Biden business dealings in their country. Both requests were politically motivated and led to Trump's second impeachment, this time for insurrection.
"I mean, what sort of brain-damaged fucking numbnuts do you have to be to jump out of the fucking frying pan and into the fucking fire?" writes Barr. "I still can't believe the stupidest motherfucker to ever walk on two legs was once president of our country. It defies explanation that such a fucking brainless fuckknuckle could achieve that office. I'd vote for him again if he's the next Republican nominee, of course."
In interviews promoting his book Barr has said that Trump "extorted" Ukraine officials, unsuccessfully, and "any claims the former president makes today about how the Russian invasion never would have happened under his watch is complete nonsense."
On NBC's Meet The Press this week Barr said, "The American people have no idea how cozy Trump was, and likely still is, with Putin. I mean, Trump had me working on a marriage annulment between Jared and Ivanka so the president could send Ivanka over to Russia as a present for Putin. He told Putin, 'she's the best I've ever had, and I've had a lot of tens.' For Trump, this was the ultimate gift he could provide. How fucking sick is that?"
MTP host Chuck Todd probed deeper into this amazing revelation, asking, "So, Ivanka's knockers. Real, or implants?"
Barr didn't respond to the question directly, only saying, "You know why some people think Trump is smart? Because he surrounds himself with the most dense, brainless, witless, imbecilic fuckwits he can find, and they don't come much more moronic than Jared and Ivanka. Working in the White House was like someone shook the Fucking Stupidest tree and all the rotten, spoiled fruit ended up in the west wing. You'd find more intelligence in the fucking plaque you scrape of your teeth. Thank fuck I was there to clean up the messes."
Barr says his frustrations with Trump never ended. He writes in his book it was a full-time job just to avert the former president from committing crimes on a daily basis.
"That asswipe wanted to sell arms to North Korea!" writes Barr. "Can you fucking believe it? He said Kim Jong-un offered him 'a terrific deal on some prime waterfront real estate in return.' When I told him no he replied Kim was his 'best friend, and I fucking hate not making money off my friends.' I told him he better re-think his priorities as president and that confused the ever-loving fuck out of his teeny tiny brain. I mean, there's morons, there's fucking morons and then there's this useless piece of shit. But yeah, I'd vote for him again in a heartbeat."
