Question of the day?

Nothing to see here. We have a dispute about Presidential records that is much more important!

WASHINGTON — A federal judge in Florida on Thursday ordered that a redacted version of the affidavit used to obtain a search warrant for former President Donald J. Trump’s Florida residence be unsealed by noon on Friday — paving the way for the disclosure of revelatory details about an unprecedented law enforcement action.

The decision by Judge Bruce E. Reinhart came just hours after the Justice Department submitted its proposal for extensive redactions to the document, in an effort to shield witnesses from intimidation or retribution if it is made public, officials said.

He appeared to accept the requested cuts. Judge Reinhart, moving more quickly than Justice Department lawyers had expected, directed the department to release the redacted affidavit by noon on Friday in a brief two-page order issued from the Federal District Court in Southern Florida. The order said that he had considered the Justice Department’s proposed redactions and found them to be “narrowly tailored to serve the government’s legitimate interest in the integrity of the ongoing investigation.”

Hey Denny...

Moron! When was the last time someone was charged with stealing a diary? In most states the matter of stolen property has a threshold. A diary is worth what? $20? You can walk out of Target with $500 worth of merch in most states and they can't even arrest you.

They are being persecuted for going after Biden politically.

If you do not see that... well then you are exactly what we think you are!

6,7, now 8 different comments from Roger about the release of the Affidavit? Most repeats of the same thing?

As I recall this diary wasn't really "stolen" but left in a bnb rental. But whatever. Kind of like Hunter's laptop. The FBI also raided project Veritas reporters and the owner over this.

The FBI is reportedly investigating a Florida woman who found Ashley Biden’s diary in a rental home and sold it to a Right-wing investigative group.

A source close to the investigation told the Daily Mail that Aimee Harris is under investigation for allegedly selling Biden’s diary to Project Veritas for $40,000 in 2020. Harris found the diary under a mattress while staying in a house rented from a friend in Florida several weeks after Biden stayed there.

Nobel Prize-winning economist Richard Thaler says the U.S. may have recorded two successive quarters of economic contraction, but it's "just funny" to describe it as being a recession.

"I don't see anything that resembles a recession. We have record low unemployment, record high vacancies. That looks like a strong economy," Thaler told CNBC's Julianna Tatelbaum on Wednesday.

Judicial Watch said...

Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton made the following statement regarding Magistrate Judge Bruce Reinhart’s latest decision granting Judicial Watch’s motion and ordering that “before noon Eastern time on Friday, August 26, 2022, the Government shall file in the public docket a version of the Affidavit containing the redactions proposed:”

In no small victory for transparency and against government corruption, the court finally granted Judicial Watch’s request and ordered the release of the redacted affidavit used to justify the warrant in the unprecedented raid on the home of former President Trump. We expect the redactions to be unnecessary and that they will demonstrate contempt for the American people’s right to know the entire story about the Biden administration’s wild abuse of power. This legal battle for accountability is just getting started.

Judicial Watch has been in the forefront in the court battle for transparency regarding the abusive FBI raid.

couldn't just stop with one of these comments, Roger?????

Anyone want to find blame for why we cannot have an open comment forum anymore... can just to the fact that Roger just put about a dozen comments on one thread about two completely off-topic subjects...

But still doesn't see it as a problem.

Honest, decent, truthful Rev. said...

Roger, you really have got to stop making it appear that you are a bully. Multiple posts, one after the other, are just not acceptable here anymore.

Honest, decent, truthful Rev. said...

Ch, I suggest that you open up the blog to UNmediated posts that do not have to be approved by you, but with the understanding that if either Roger or I take undue advantage of that, you will simply delete us.

What I mean is, if either of us posts post after post after post, especially long ones, we can expect to see some or even all of those posts disappear.

That would also mean that if either of us posts anything exceeding what can appear in one post -- so that it must be continued in the next post -- we can expect to see it disappear as well.

And if either of us violates that
-- or if any others violate it -- we/they can expect such posts to disappear.
_____

But for that to succeed, Roger and I would have to avoid making numerous posts early in the morning before others, inluding you, Ch, have had a chance to show up.

As for deletings, you could even explain:
[This post removed by blog administrator because of excessive length.]

or

[This post removed by blog administor because of excessive repetition.]

Or for whatever reason.

Alky, you're the most prolific liar on this blog and have single-handedly taken it from a respected and up-and-coming political blog to the brink of fucking ruin.

YOU. YOU did that.

And then pastor pederast showed up. How he managed to find this blog is anyone's guess, but between the two of you, you've scared off any and all unique visitors, and have ruined any chances of this blog getting picked up on the blog roll of many others.

Only a fool would believe you at this point, and I have to believe that CH has learned the lesson.

Just one thing. The New York Times editorial board says.

No one should revel in the prospect of this or any former president facing criminal prosecution. Mr. Trump’s actions have brought shame on one of the world’s oldest democracies and destabilized its future. Even justice before the law will not erase that stain. Nor will prosecuting Mr. Trump fix the structural problems that led to the greatest crisis in American democracy since the Civil War. But it is a necessary first step toward doing so.

The Inflation rate is going down but he said.

With his new speech, however, Powell is stating that the Fed is not close to declaring victory: "While the lower inflation readings for July are welcome, a single month's improvement falls far short of what the Committee will need to see before we are confident that inflation is moving down."

What to watch: However, Powell did not give a clear indication of whether the Fed will raise interest rates by half a percentage point or 0.75 percentage point at its next policy meeting, saying only that the decision will depend on the "totality of the incoming data" and outlook.

Coldheartedtruth Teller said...

Just one thing on the economy.

The Federal Reserve is pushing forward in its fight to cool inflation, but the path ahead won't come without some economic discomfort for Americans.

Fed Chair Jerome Powell offered few hints toward the central bank's next policy decisions while speaking Friday at the Fed's annual conference in Jackson Hole, Wyoming.

But it might not be terribly difficult 😕
