Protester flattened by player is suing and wants criminal charges filed?

Too bad the law in California allows for citizens arrest and assistance in apprehending any dangerous suspect. There is also laws that allow for a citizen to get involved physically if they are deemed to be protecting others. A man carrying a flaming flare can certainly be seen as a threat to others as well, allowing for another means to justify the "tackle"!
