LOL. so they did nothing during those 8 years to give hope to the masses in a meaningful and sustaining way.

Thanks President Trump for Winning against all odds, against the money, against the press, the lies and fake news and against many in the Republican Establishment.

Polls show a renewed optimism in the USA, after the Trump win, to bad that Racist and her idiot hubby can not get over the loss, devastated as they are , they will make $100's of Millions off of books and speeches, with America going backwards , will this President do as Trump has and take just a dollar a year from the tax payers?

"oh hey, would you look at the time? i've gotta run oprah, dearie. off to hawaii on a 747 for three weeks on the taxpayers dime. this is what having no hope looks like. buh bye"

you know, it's funny. the alky has been whining about all the "hatred" towards the 0linsky's for the past 8 years, while at the same time these asshats make it so easy to hate them... if one was so inclined to expend that emotion of such utterly worthless people.

Well at least we know Roger will be consistent... and will give Donald Trump the chance he expected people to give Obama. That's part of the whole deal with Democrats. They hold consistent views regardless.

I wonder if anyone is proud that the Chinese military are so contemptuous of the US military that they steal military hardware with impunity, knowing that there will be no response beyond diplomatic complaints? Are we proud that an Iranian gunboat humiliated the US Navy by capturing US sailors, knowing there would be no consequence?

Trump will be tested just like all Presidents, by foreign powers to discern his commitment and resolve. I'll give him a chance, this is something I'd like to know as well. Well he back down as Obama has, and as Bush did when China held our surveillance plane? If we're actually that weak in that area, it would be better to withdraw our forces and cede the influence than to make threats that all parties know are empty. If we're not, then at some point you have to follow through. Which way will Trump react?

Imagine the outcry had Laura Bush said, as Michelle Obama did, about the new president, "Now we're feeling what not having hope feels like."

She and her idiot Hubby have been out of touch from before day one of his first term.

To me, $600 a year does make a difference, she can't be as stupid as HB and believe that was a one time reduction, or is she, after all she wears $600 plus dollar ear rings.

See that was a real tax cut that has been in place and renewed by Obama, oh yeah , he continued those horrid Bush tax cuts to this very day. so $600 over 12 years is a net $7,200 , or put another way a year of Tuition for my oldest Son.

Real dollars making a real difference.

"You're getting $600 - what can you do with that? Not to be ungrateful or anything, but maybe it pays down a bill, but it doesn't pay down every bill every month," she said. "The short-term quick fix kinda stuff sounds good, and it may even feel good that first month when you get that check, and then you go out and you buy a pair of earrings." - Michelle Obama

Jan 28, 2010 - "We cut taxes for 95 percent of working families." Obama

He never did deliver, why not?

Really, why did the greatest freaking president ever to walk the face of the World not make good on that promise?

Nor did he raise the minimum wage on penny in his term, he flapped his lips , but did not do the work.

KD said...

He did not work for this either, work is hard :

"“And not only do we need to strengthen its long-term health, it’s time we finally made Social Security more generous and increased its benefits so that today’s retirees and future generations get the dignified retirement that they’ve earned,” Obama said in an economic call to arms in Elkhart, Indiana."

See because I earn my own way, never paid into SS, yes their are many of us that never paid in and used that money in savings and land purchases , paying my own way and that of my family. My kids have fully funded 529 plans , college is paid in full plus.

Yet, Obama dreamed of giving away retirement to all.

Rat is right the price of a Democrat voter is getting more expensive.

I am a citizen of the United States. So okay technically, I admit Donald Trump will soon be president of the country I live in. But he is a narcissistic and spiteful man who is in the process of setting up the most vindictive cabinet imaginable. I have to believe his reasons are at least partially to punish those of us who didn’t vote for him. He is making absolutely certain that there isn’t a shred of concession to those of us who aren’t marching in sync behind him and screaming in adoration at his rallies. You can agree with what he is doing. You can celebrate his vision for decimating the country as we’ve known it. But please don’t tell me that he is trying to bring the country together. There is a man in the white house who despises anyone who crosses him. I am one of those people. Over half the people in this country are detested by him. I don’t pretend to know how this will play out but I do know that I am extremely frightened of Donald Trump and I am not alone with my fears. In my heart, Donald Trump is not and will never be my president.

I remember how much time loretta and rat gave obama. It was a whole 6 weeks before the tirades started. I've tried to give him the benefit of the doubt, but with his current white bread picks and inane tweets, it is very difficult to ignore the show man in chief and give him the benefit. When he finally agrees the russiki's where fucking with us, he deserves little respect.

Keeping it wasn't ever the point, so of course they are returning it. China took it to humiliate the US military, exerting their "sovereign" control over international waters as proof that the US was powerless to stop them.

I would have stopped the ship making off with it and forced them to return it immediately in person.

"Uncharted territory" — that's how the dispute between President-elect Donald Trump and the CIA is being characterized in the press and by some members of the intelligence community.

The argument refers to Trump's dismissal of reports of a CIA assessment that Russia interfered in the election in order to sway it in Trump's favor.

One of the strongest reactions to Trump's rejection came this morning from General Michael Hayden, former head of the CIA and the NSA. He spoke with NPR's Rachel Martin on Morning Edition, and said, "This is just a dismissal of what the agency has said without an investigation of its data or its analysis. That's scary. That the fact-based guys get shoved out of the room before there is any argument, frankly... because what they're concluding seems unpleasant."

If there is indeed a rift between the president-elect and the intelligence community, how serious is it?

Guest

Glenn Carle, intelligence officer for 23 years in the CIA, where he served on four continents. His book is "The Interrogator: An Education."

Interview Highlights

On how serious the rift is between PEOTUS and the intelligence community

"There's a rift flowing all across the headlines, the page and everyone's consciousness. It's tremendous. But it actually is only a secondary issue compared to the larger issue of the competence, or lack thereof, of the president-elect with regard to national security and international affairs. It’s stunning, and an existential moment for the United States, much less the CIA, absolutely."

On General Hayden's comments that Trump's team is not fact-based

"One may make mistakes and get the facts wrong. Everyone gets 100 things wrong a day and it's the only unusual person who actually can acknowledge that, but that's the truth. It’s a sign of courage and self awareness to do so. And it gives you the chance of getting things right in the future.

"But if you simply dismiss things and assert facts that you wish and deny anything that seems to challenge your own view or your own self-aggrandizement, then you’re dealing in what has been called an alternate reality. But that’s too nice a term. Then you’re simply lying and not living on the Earth as we know it. It’s a shocking development for the leader of the United States."

On if Trump's actions are unprecedented territory

"Absolutely. My personal experience goes back to President Reagan. But that means I overlapped with colleagues whose direct experiences go back to the Eisenhower administration, frankly. And there’s never been a circumstance like this.

"President [George W.] Bush did not accept many of the conclusions, or like the conclusions, or the views of the intelligence community with respect to Iraq or weapons of mass destruction, or terrorism. But an argument is one thing.

"President Clinton had hostile relations in his first administration with Director [James] Woolsey. That’s OK actually to have substantive differences. But when you deny even to consider the facts and if any statement is made on any subject at any time with which you think somehow challenges what you view as your own self-wealth or position then you're dealing in someone who is almost clinically incapable of dealing with the world that we all live in. It’s absolutely stunning. There's never been anything like this."

"It's horrifying moment. Others have said that the U.S. is facing — and I completely agree and I myself have said separately — that the U.S. is facing the greatest crisis to its institution since 1861. Not since the Vietnam War, not since World War II, since 1861 when the country broke in two. That is because our institutions, our procedures, the checks and balances, separation of powers, and the social compact as well as social reality and facts on which we all have to decide what positions we take and agree to disagree, all are placed in question for the glory of one person's sense of self."

Coldheartedtruth Teller said...

On the president's relationship with the intelligence community

"Let's look at the Pacific and the statements has made with regard to China. One can argue in favor or against the TPP, the Trans-Pacific trade agreement, but by simply repudiating it and alienating one of the two great powers certainly in the Asian hemisphere but also on Earth now, China, one sets a clash up that possibly could be avoided.

"It also means that we've withdrawn essentially from shaping the trade regimes, economic policies, the strategic policies, the alignments, the alliances that have determined the security structure of Asia, which includes the United States, for the last 70 years. And that's done before the president-elect takes office. That's just on one issue in one area. I could go on for probably five hours.

"What has happened to NATO already is shocking because of the president-elect's associations and defense of comments with regard to Russia because it is clear, independent of any intelligence assessment, that Russia's interest is to see NATO crumble. And by walking back from NATO unilaterally, in a supposed declaration of national independence or some crazy thing, we've already weakened NATO. These are two of the pillars of the international order, globally, that rely on the United States as its foundation and protector. And already they're shaken. It is a huge crisis."

What ever happened to the moderate and conservative wing of the Democrat Party. Was it required that they be pushed out for the party to become what it is today?

Radicalized ALT-Leftist to the core.

Attacking the voters and those fine men and woman that are voters for Trump and those Electors that are to vote for Trump, what does the Radicalized Left which is the sole owner of the Democrat Party hope to gain?

Commonsense said...

Yes, threatening GOP electors is a particularly thuggish and disgraceful move by the Democrat party.

They will not be forgiven by the people anytime too soon.

As for the Russians, if their plan was to sow distrust and discord between the CIA and the incoming president-elect, then they scored a spectacular success.

And we have the media and liberals to thank for that. They played right into Putin's hands.

The Progressive Echo Chamber Explained In One Roundtable

After Donald Trump’s surprise win, most progressives are not willing to engage in a discussion of what, if anything, went wrong within their movement. Obama and Clinton are not to be critiqued for their positions, decisions, or policies. They are blameless—oppressed and condemned merely for their race and gender. Or so many would claim.

Many, but not all. Andrew Sullivan—formerly of the well-known blog “The Dish”—often spoke with clarity and reason in the midst of the New Republic roundtable’s echo chamber.

So Andrew Sullivan is now the Cassandra of the Democrat party. And now the Democrat party will go the way of the Trojans.

It can not come too soon the exit of this kind of hate filled speech.

"
Here is her latest disgrace. A new type of race card you might never have imagined. She used a speech during the opening of a museum to fan the flames of racial hatred and divisiveness. So awful:

“Museums and concert halls,” she said, just don’t welcome non-white visitors – especially children – the way they welcome whites.

Michelle went on to explain just how museums aren’t for people who “look like her.” I can’t believe she said this:

“You see, there are so many kids in this country who look at places like museums and concert halls and other cultural centers and they think to themselves, well, that’s not a place for me, for someone who looks like me, for someone who comes from my neighborhood. In fact, I guarantee you that right now, there are kids living less than a mile from here who would never in a million years dream that they would be welcome in this museum.

“And growing up on the South Side of Chicago, I was one of those kids myself. So I know that feeling of not belonging in a place like this. And today, as first lady, I know how that feeling limits the horizons of far too many of our young people."

That is complete bullshit.

I think that it's easy to find an EX-intelligence officer of any stripe to express any political position that you're looking for. This particular one (Glenn Carle) makes a living with his tell-all book and commentary to various press and frequent interviews, so provocative would be right up his alley.
