Those hoping the Doctor would save them from Trump...

... are going to be extremely disappointed.

Dr Ronny Jackson (an Obama appointee) is giving a press conference before a hostile media, where he has stated that in his professional opinion that Trump is in excellent physical shape for someone of his age. He spoke highly about his energy level, and endurance. Dr Jackson even called the President mentally "sharp". He also suggested that Trump must have been blessed with tremendous physical genes, while also suggesting that his no cigarettes and no alcohol lifestyle contributes to his overall health.

He said this opinion comes from "objective data".

"Very, Very good physical health. Excellent cognitive health."

Obviously, the Doctor has been and is being asked a ton of questions, almost all of them an attempt to get the good doctor to say something bad about Trump. So far, he has defended the President's physical and mental health in almost a cheerleading fashion. It's clear he is not one who sees the President as having any physical or mental problems.

The President did take a cognitive test (which Trump requested). The doctor stated that he scored high enough on the cognitive exam (30 out of 30) that it basically "rules out" any additional need for psychiatric testing. In other words, he is not only sane, but objectively considered cognitively superior.

From a factual basis, the exam takes place over about a four hour period, and Dr Jackson has twelve different consulting medical experts that are on hand.

He had a affair with a pond star while married to his current wife. He paid shut up money. Monica Lewinsky comes to mind. Twenty years ago Matt Drudge broke the story of the blue dress.

worst case 12 year old fling between 2 consenting adults, must have stirred up quite a few waves in that pond.

There was no psychological evaluation, and anyone mistaking that test for one IS the "armchair psychiatrist".

12 trained physicians examined him and declare him physically and mentally fit.

The fact that you will not accept the professional opinions from the doctors who examined him and cling to the opinions of those "armchair psychiatrist" tells me you may be mentally unfit.

You're obsession and denial of the truth is certainly unhealthy.

You could have a hundred physicians examining him, and if there was no psychological evaluation and no intelligence test you can draw no conclusions about his psychological fitness nor the level of his intelligence.

I'm denying bullshit - your non-factual assumptions are not "truth" - and I always will.

The APA's public letter suggested that the physician WOULD perform a psychiatric evaluation, and that everyone else should shut up about it until that happened.

Wrong on fact... again!

Here is what the APA wrote:

The President is about to undergo his annual physical examination, and APA has confidence that his physician will follow the standard of care in examining all systems, which includes an age-appropriate medical and mental health evaluation. If mental health concerns are raised, the standard of care would result in the examining physician seeking consultation from an experienced psychiatrist who would approach the consultation with objectivity and within the physician-patient confidential relationship.

The APA suggested that the doctor would do exactly what the doctor did. The APA expected that his primary doctor would do an initial exam to determine if further testing was necessary.

according to WebMD:

A mental health assessment gives your doctor a complete picture of your emotional state. It also looks at how well you are able to think, reason, and remember (cognitive functioning). Your doctor will ask you questions and examine you. You might answer some of the doctor's questions in writing. Your doctor will take note of how you look as well as your mood, behavior, thinking, reasoning, and memory, and how well you can express yourself. Your doctor will also ask questions about how you get along with other people. This includes your family and friends. Sometimes the assessment includes lab tests, such as blood or urine tests.

A mental health assessment may be done by your primary care doctor. Or it may be done by a psychiatrist, psychologist, or social worker. The results of your test are confidential.

The doctor (his primary doctor) did not see anything in that examination (or other observations of the President) that raised any mental health concerns for him.

The fact that people unqualified (by either lack of training or lack of access to the patient) to make such an assessment disagree with the Doctor is 100% irrelevant.

"A proper psychiatric evaluation requires more than a review of television appearances, tweets, and public comments. Psychiatrists are medical doctors; evaluating mental illness is no less thorough than diagnosing diabetes or heart disease. "

It looks like I'm right again "on the facts" as you say, if you read the rest of the letter. They're talking about an evaluation, by a psychiatrist.

This didn't happen, and those of you with your psychiatric evaluations are all "armchair psychiatrists" according to their letter, and they ask you to decist from it.

Yes, you can because the normal protocol is your attending (primary) physician examines you and ask questions and if he felt you needed a psychological evaluation he would refer you to a psychiatrist for that evaluation.

All physicians, especially primary care physicians are trained in psychiatry to the point that they can do an initial screening on their own.

You assume that just because there's no formal test that a preliminary evaluation is not done.

And if you don't believe that, then I suggest you pay close attention to what the doctor is asking you when you go to your next physical.

They're talking about an evaluation, by a psychiatrist.

Sure, they were raising the description of a proper psychiatric evaluation in order to show the difference between a proper evaluation, and those improper ones that are being given by "arm chair psychologists".

But they never suggested that Trump was going to be (or should be) given a psychiatric exam by a psychiatrist as part of his yearly physical.

They only suggested that he was going to be given a standard physical and mental health evaluation... and that if the doctor raised mental health concerns that he would then bring in a psychiatric specialist.

That is how things work in the real world WP. Doctors don't assume their patients are insane, and they use their "own judgement" on medical matters, including mental health matters. The doctors in this case, have no issue with Trump's mental capabilities...

So no matter how hard you attempt to twist this, Trump doesn't have to "prove" he is not insane. He is by nature considered perfectly sane, unless considered otherwise by the doctors who attend to him.

This, WP... is just another example of you not being able to take what someone wrote at face value, and attempting to justify your own paranoia and hysteria by twisting words.

Hint: You will never win these sorts of arguments when the facts are not on your side... no matter how hard you attempt to twist those facts.

We are going to upgrade our housing. My name will be on the title. The equity alone is probably more than the value of most of you folks dumps.

I'm enjoying the President exhibiting his deal making skills.

I've seen pictures of the porn star Trump was banging while his third wife was pregnant... hobo job spectacular. $130,000 is expensive pussy.

Based on the cost alone, the memory care unit that Roger is going to be renting is a substantial financial upgrade.
