FBI Investigation new excuse for liberal temper tantrums

I would provide the over under at about 100 as to how many different "demands" the Democrats will make regarding the FBI investigation between now and it's completion. Reality: every last issue raised will be 99.99% bullshit.

The truth is that the President and the GOP Senators have called the bluff and the FBI is now investigating. Most reasonable people have suggested all along that the FBI has limited ability to actually investigate a "person" over events that are outside of FBI jurisdiction. Democrats (and their liberal parrots) kept acting as if the FBI was some sort of silver bullet. But as it becomes more and more clear that the FBI investigation will not be what they imagined (or argued for), look for them to kick and scream even louder.

flake's the liar we thought him to be. he didn't have some sort of epiphany. the dirty prick had been planning this shameless move for two fucking weeks...

Flake had been inching toward his Friday stand ever since the Washington Post reported Ford's account on Sept. 16. After reading the story, he quickly called for Ford to testify, rattling GOP leaders given his pivotal swing vote role on the Judiciary Committee. Once they moved to set up the meeting, Flake went virtually silent, simply repeating over and over again that he was glad the hearing was happening.

Once it was over, Flake began agonizing over his decision. But his plan began to come into focus when he met with the three other senators on Thursday evening to figure out his next move.

as i said on a previous thread, flake did this for flake. period. full stop. this is about 2020 aspirations. nothing more.

and cbs needs to look up the word "compromise." their phony 60 minutes piece was peppered with that word. there was no compromise. democrats gave up nothing.

the word scott pelley was looking for is "capitulation."

The F.B.I. was directed by the White House and Senate Republicans to interview just four people: Mark Judge and P.J. Smyth, high school friends of Judge Kavanaugh’s; Leland Keyser, a high school friend of one of Judge Kavanaugh’s accusers, Christine Blasey Ford; and Deborah Ramirez, another of the judge’s accusers.

Dr. Blasey, a California university professor, has accused Judge Kavanaugh of trying to rape her during a high school gathering, and Ms. Ramirez, a classmate of Judge Kavanaugh’s at Yale, has said he exposed himself to her at a dorm room party. Judge Kavanaugh has forcefully denied both allegations.

In testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee on Thursday, Judge Kavanaugh also denied the possibility that he had ever been blackout drunk, a state that implies memory loss, despite consciousness. But Mr. Ludington, a former basketball player at Yale, said in a statement that he could “unequivocally say” that Judge Kavanaugh had “not told the truth.”

He said Judge Kavanaugh had often become “belligerent and aggressive” while intoxicated during his first two years at Yale. Mr. Ludington recalled one incident in which he said Judge Kavanaugh threw a beer in someone’s face, “starting a fight that ended with one of our mutual friends in jail.”

The New York Times

Jeff Flake, Susan Collins Barbera Murkowski and the Democrats from states that voted for Trump and are in elections for another term are not going to support his nomination to the Supreme Court.

The enthusiasm among Democrats and their fund raising indicates that in the November elections will get the wavering Democrats to vote against the nomination of Judge Brett Kavanaugh.

Your perseverance and unwavering supporting the President seems to have led you to diving into the swamp.

We have highly educated women who were allegedly subject to sexual assault by Judge Brett Kavanaugh have been excluded from the FBI investigation by the White House legal counsel and the Senate intelligence committee. Yet you sit there and claim that they are irrelevant and shouldn't be even questioned by the FBI. Remember that if they lie in the interviews they will face felony charges?

Why do you believe that these restrictions are valid for your own political purposes, and The Coldheartedtruth is irrelevant?

i'm not and never have been, alky rapist.

what i've always opposed is the LGBTQWERTY community's insistence that their rights trump religious freedom rights. and when they go out of their way for the explicit purpose of trolling a christian florist/baker/wedding venue owner, that's where i draw the fucking line.

their rights are to be enjoyed by their community. not to be used as a cudgel with which to beat their political/ideological opponents.

you want to be gay? ok, go be gay. you want to marry your partner? fine. marry your partner. you want to go fuck with someone for no other reason than to just fuck with them? fuck you. that's where i draw the bright line.

this is why the supreme court has become so crucial to you assholes, alky. it shouldn't be so crucial, but it is. and it is because most of your behavior's that you woke up one morning and deemed to be civil rights wouldn't pass at the ballot box.
you know this and i know this. for chrissakes, prop 8 passed in mexifornia by 4%. not an insignificant margin.

and it's the same with roe. roe was a complete fabrication, having zero basis in constitutional law. even honest liberals (if you can still find one) will admit this.

#killkavanaugh is trending huge on twitter right now, alky. you should be proud of that.

There would be a police report of this incident but I'll bet you dimes to dollars Ludington won't be able to remember exactly when the incident happen or the name of their "mutual friend".

The problem with his story is that their is no way Kavnaugh could have "started a fight" by "throwing a beer in someone's face" and not go to jail while their "mutual friend" did. The charge would be simple assult for throwing beer in the face and disorderly conduct.

I suspect their "mutual friend" was the beliigerent one who started a fight.

Counselor to the president Kellyanne Conway said on live television Sunday that she is a victim of sexual assault.

The White House advisor was on CNN's “State of the Union” to discuss the Kavanaugh hearings and FBI investigation into allegations against Kavanaugh with Jake Tapper.

"I feel very empathetic, frankly, for victims of sexual assault and sexual harassment and rape," she said.

Conway then stopped for a moment, looked down, and cleared her throat.

"I'm a victim of sexual assault. I don't expect Judge Kavanaugh or Jake Tapper or Jeff Flake or anybody to be held responsible for that. You have to be responsible for your own conduct,” she said.

Well I feel a lot of her coming forward. She went on to call out the news coverage on the Kavanaugh appointment. But despite the fact that I strongly disagree with her. I am not going to call her a liar for not coming forth years after the deeply emotional experience for many years.

Glad to see James Comey has weighed in to say it's wrong to limit the scope or length of an FBI investigation.

Of course he can have the FBI review 700,000 emails on a laptop over a weekend (which turned out he tried to have done electronically but it was a total whiff) and declare someone innocent. But that was another MATTER.

Think he should have sat this one out...

The White House staff is giving conflicting details about the scope of the investigation.

Speaking to the issue of the scope of the FBI's investigation, White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said White House counsel Don McGahn, who is managing Kavanaugh's nomination, "has allowed the Senate to dictate what these terms look like, and what the scope of the investigation is."

"The White House isn't intervening. We're not micromanaging this process. It's a Senate process. It has been from the beginning, and we're letting the Senate continue to dictate what the terms look like," Sanders said.

White House counselor Kellyanne Conway said the investigation will be "limited in scope" and "will not be a fishing expedition. The FBI is not tasked to do that."

It's pretty clear that the truth doesn't matter.

Once again if the people who are called to interview with the FBI lie, they can be charged with a felony.

alky, ford had a right to be heard. not a right to be believed.

but if you want to get right down to it, her story is essentially a complete fabrication. the holes in it are legion. is it compelling? to some, perhaps. credible? uh, no. not credible. not even close. i think the word so many people are looking for is "sympathetic" because credible it ain't.

due process and presumption of innocence are under attack here. and that's a fucking problem.

I suspect it was because there was no way to trash Trump without tarring Roy Cooper.

Also, it was chiefly a rain event with no great damage to the electrical grid.

Unlike Puerto Rico's Edison era electrical grid that was non-functional even before the storm. After the storm God himself couldn't restore power until months after the storm. The grid was in that bad of shape.

"Jeff Flake is a sucker. People acting in good faith don’t leak the name of a woman making sexual-assault accusations when she has asked to remain anonymous. People acting in good faith don’t withhold information about accusations as serious as this from their colleagues for two months. People acting in good faith don’t unveil the accusation after the confirmation hearings. People acting in good faith don’t tout the investigative abilities of the FBI for months and then turn around and express doubt that they’ll get the answers once they get that investigation.

A Democrat acting in good faith would say, “Whatever you think of the allegations by Ms. Ford and Ms. Ramirez, the allegations brought forth by Michael Avenatti’s client — claiming that at age 15, Brett Kavanaugh began organizing weekly gang-rape parties that involved dozens of assailants, victims, and witnesses, that involved acquiring and slipping young women Quaaludes, and continued a relentless gang-rape spree for three years, and not a single victim or witness ever went to police, a parent, a teacher or other responsible adult — are extremely implausible and represent a smear.”

Senator Dianne Feinstein has done the opposite, calling for the FBI to investigate those farfetched claims:

“Each of these stories are troubling on their own and each of these allegations should be investigated by the FBI. All three women have said they would like the FBI to investigate; please do so. All three have said they have other witnesses and evidence to corroborate their accounts.”

We will see what happens in a few days, when the FBI brings back its report."

According to new research, adults who have intermittent explosive disorder (IED) - a psychiatric condition in which violent outbursts of anger and cursing erupt in response to apparently trivial irritations - are more likely to have been infected with toxoplasma gondii.

“The kind of triggers are usually social provocations,” said Dr Royce Lee, an author of the study from the University of Chicago. “In the workplace it could be some kind of interpersonal frustration, on the road it could be getting cut up.”

A common parasite, toxoplasma gondii reproduces within cats and is spread in their faeces. It can enter humans through the food chain in raw or undercooked meat, contaminated water or unwashed vegetables that have come into contact with the parasite.

From Brett Kavanaugh, we heard repeated lies.

He lied about making disparaging references to teenage girls in his high school yearbook.

He lied when he tried to minimize his history of heavy drinking.

Earlier, he almost certainly lied when he denied having access to files that were obviously stolen from Democratic senators when he worked in the Bush administration.

His lies and his temperament — screaming at senators about a wide-ranging conspiracy against him — prove that he has absolutely no business on the Supreme Court of the United States.

This week, the fate of the Supreme Court apparently rests on a handful of senators whose votes are not yet known. Here is their contact information:

Sen. Susan Collins (R-ME)
Phone: (202) 224-2523

Sen. Jeff Flake (R-AZ)
Phone: (202) 224-4521

Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV)
Phone: (202) 224-3954

Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-AK)
Phone: (202) 224-6665

Please call them and let them know that lying is not acceptable for a Supreme Court justice. Urge them to vote “no” on Kavanaugh’s nomination.

Also, please share this email with your friends, and urge them to join us in opposing Kavanaugh’s confirmation. Much depends on what we do in the next few days.

Coldheartedtruth Teller said...

Can the Senate Judiciary Committee enlist the FBI to investigate the claims of sexual assault brought by an accuser against Judge Brett Kavanaugh, nominee to the Supreme Court?

The short answer: No.

Sponsor

The long answer: Sen. Susan Collins, R-Maine, said on Wednesday that she thinks the committee must look into the allegations by Christine Blasey Ford, who says Kavanaugh sexually assaulted her three decades ago.

Specifically, Collins told a Maine radio station that she believes in the Senate's responsibility to vet nominees for high office. If it needs more support, it should have it, she said.

"If we need additional help from the FBI, we could ask for it — the committee could ask for [it]," she said.

Collins is an important player because she and a handful of other borderline senators could make the difference in the final vote on Kavanaugh in the Senate. But she doesn't belong to the Judiciary Committee.

Even if she did, it doesn't have the authority to give an assignment to an executive branch agency such as the FBI.
