we don't have time for trade deals!

there are serious, important issues to investigate, like kavanaugh shotgunning beers in college, his gang rape club, and his lame high school yearbook fart jokes.

in other news, rachel mitchell has called bullshit on dr. cray cray's entire fabrication.

It's somewhat surprising.

I haven't read much about the details. But it looks pretty damn good.

yeah, amazing things can happen when you don't begin every negotiation grabbing your ankles like 0linsky did.

i'm old enough to remember when sub 2% GDP was krugman's and skeets' 'new normal' and we were just going to have to get used to a perpetually shitty economy.

and then trump showed up with his fucking magic wand...

President Obama has topped predecessor George W. Bush in another poll, but not one he would like.

In a new Quinnipiac University Poll, 33% named Obama the worst president since World War II, and 28% put Bush at the bottom of post-war presidents.

"Over the span of 69 years of American history and 12 presidencies, President Barack Obama finds himself with President George W. Bush at the bottom of the popularity barrel," said Tim Malloy, assistant director of the Quinnipiac University Poll.

democrats insist upon being taken seriously:

For its investigation into Kavanaugh to be comprehensive, the FBI must also get to the bottom of what “boofing” means.

North and South Korea begin removing landmines along their heavily fortified border as part of peace summit deal
The two Koreas began to de-mine parts of the Demilitarised Zone on Monday
Relations between the countries, though technically at war, have thawed lately
South Korea and the U.S may have planted as many as 1.2 million mines south of the Demilitarised Zone while North Korea has likely put about 1 million on its side

"Highlights
Markit's manufacuturing sample reported solid strength in September, at a final 55.6 index which is unchanged from the mid-month flash and is well above the 54.7 of August. The sample posted strong orders in the month with growth, however, centered narrowly in the domestic market as export orders were flat with concerns over tariffs cited.

There's strong evidence of capacity stress as backlogs are building signficantly, at the fastest rate in two years, with input costs rising sharply and component shortages reported. Price pass through to customers is described as "solid". Despite the rise in backlogs, hiring in the month was the slowest in more than a year."
