Bernie overtakes slow Joe in new poll !

CNN poll: Bernie Sanders surges to join Biden atop Democratic presidential pack
Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders has improved his standing in the national Democratic race for president, joining former Vice President Joe Biden in a two-person top tier above the rest of the field, according to a new CNN poll conducted by SSRS.

The poll marks the first time Biden has not held a solo lead in CNN's national polling on the race.
Overall, 27% of registered voters who are Democrats or Democratic-leaning independents back Sanders, while 24% favor Biden. The margin between the two is within the poll's margin of sampling error, meaning there is no clear leader in this poll. Both, however, are significantly ahead of the rest of the field, including Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren at 14% and former South Bend, Indiana, Mayor Pete Buttigieg at 11%. Former New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg lands at 5% in the poll, while Minnesota Sen. Amy Klobuchar and businessman Andrew Yang each hold 4% support. Businessman Tom Steyer has 2%. No other candidate reaches 1% support.

Well technically, it's not a tie. As much as CNN doesn't care for the fact that slow Joe Biden is losing support to a socialist with little chance to win the general election, the truth is that it happened. Suck it up, CNN and deliver the news! (not your spin)

The "Slow Joe" nickname for Biden pre-dates Trump's running for the presidency.

I personally prefer "Cooked Joe" since political corruption is the family business.

Most Want Devious Donald Trump Removed from Office
January 22, 2020

A new Pew Research survey found that 51% say the outcome of the Senate trial should be President Trump’s removal from office, while 46% say the result should lead to Trump remaining in office.

This fat fucking trumpist guarding the old fat ass trump instead of the country....this fuck should also be impeached for incompetence and dereliction of duty!!!!!!

WASHINGTON — Scholars have roundly rejected a central argument of President Donald Trump’s lawyers that abuse of power is not by itself an impeachable offense. But it turns out that another important legal figure has contradicted that idea: Trump’s attorney general and close ally, William Barr.

In summer 2018, when he was still in private practice, Barr wrote a confidential memo for the Justice Department and Trump’s legal team to help the president get out of a problem. The special counsel, Robert Mueller, was pressuring him to answer questions about whether he had illegally impeded the Russia investigation.

Trump should not talk to investigators about his actions as president, even under a subpoena, Barr wrote in his 19-page memo, which became public during his confirmation. Barr based his advice on a sweeping theory of executive power under which obstruction of justice laws do not apply to presidents, even if they misuse their authority over the Justice Department to block investigations into themselves or their associates for corrupt reasons.

But Barr tempered his theory with a reassurance. Even without the possibility of criminal penalties, he wrote, a check is in place on presidents who abuse their discretionary power to control the executive branch of government — impeachment.

There are two data points in CNN's new 2020 poll that have to make former Vice President Joe Biden and his presidential campaign feel very, very good.

1) Almost 6 in 10 Democrats (57%) said they wanted the "Democratic Party [to] nominate a presidential candidate with a strong chance of beating Donald Trump," while just 35% said they preferred a candidate show "shared" their views on major issues. (Back in December, only 47% prioritized a nominee who could beat Trump.)

2) Almost 6 in 10 (58%) said they would rather a presidential nominee "advocate for policies that have a good chance of becoming law, even if the
changes they make aren’t as big," while just 36% said they would opt for a nominee who would "advocate for policies that would result in big changes,
even if they have a lower chance of becoming law."

Sanders has a base as solid as the President has. But he's not going to happen again and let Trump win again.

WORTH REPEATING

Democrats Unload ‘Overwhelming’ Impeachment Case
January 22, 2020 at 10:20 pm EST

“And on the first day, Democrats unleashed the flood,” Politico reports.

“One by one, the seven House impeachment prosecutors seeking President Trump’s removal from office reconstructed a case against the president so dense — at times, head-scratchingly complex — that it was hard for senators new to the material to keep up.”
_______________________

The New York Times called it “a meticulous and scathing case for convicting President Trump and removing him from office on charges of abuse of power and obstruction of Congress.”
____________________

The Washington Post reports Rep. Adam Schiff “gave an emotional closing, rehashing the facts of the case as presented over the last eight hours, urging senators to learn the ‘full truth’ and warning that the ‘truth is going to come out.'”
