Undeniable facts!

How will liberals explain this after the dust has cleared?
(Perhaps it's time to admit that these lock downs are just not working)

So, closing states causes more deaths than reopening states.

But James said keeping states closed is sensible.

He even had a long copy/paste from Goodard to prove it.

If you meant the long article at 1:08 and 1:09 in the "CDC comes out..." thread, that was not from Goddard, but from The Mercury News of San Francisco Bay

We shall see how it goes with those states that open more quickly than many medical advisers think they should.

and we shall see how those blue state Governors who keep extending their lock downs do with their economies over the next few months (when they stayed closed longer than economists thought they should).

Right now the projections are that states that are open now are going to rebound way faster than states that are closed down, and in some of those states (the longer they wait) they may never come back.

Let's be clear here James... if people are going to catch the virus then people are going to catch the virus. It certainly hasn't gone away anywhere (especially in states still closed down) and they simply delaying the inevitable. Flatten the curve, etc... already accomplished. The only real reason to wait at this point is because you are hoping for some sort of miracle.

Minnesota just cancelled our state fair in September because their models suggest that people will continue to be catching it through that time period (because we will not be anywhere's near herd immunity). Because we have delayed stuff, our projections are that we still have to reach our peak, whereas most of the states around us have already gone through their peaks.

It must suck to be on your side.

If people don't die in these states that opened quicker (or didn't close), then your Democrats are the goats who blew up their economy for no good reason.

So even if there is "good news" then you have bad news politically.

So the question is which is more important.

From your degree of arguing on the subject you seem to want to convince yourself that red state dwellers are all going to start dying and you continue to subtly (but transparently) root for it.

You know, Denny... just like a typical old white man to racially stereotype an Asian woman and make her into something she isn't.

What I can tell you is that she works out every day, ran a Marathon a couple of summers ago, is a rock climber, on point in ballet, and used to kick box.

She'd kick your tired old racist smelly white ass and not break a sweat!

Btw... you do realize that it's the Democratic states and their one size fits all lock down strategy that is actually killing people, especially the old people.

As it is stated, there are more nursing home deaths in NY and NJ than in all of those red states listed combined.

I think it's you who is supporting your Democrats and the deaths of tens of thousand nursing home dwelling and elderly people.

And who has the MOST cases and the MOST deaths!

New York is still reporting 2.5 times as many cases and deaths as Florida consistently day to day.

And let's be clear... I am not seeing any increase in "deaths" in most any states and even as the NYT website will tell you:

These states have had recent growth in newly reported cases over the last 14 days, in part because some have recently ramped up their testing capacity.

One of the states that has recently "ramped up" their testing is Florida and they have even been reporting some of their positive anti-body testings as positive cases (for sake of more accurate percentages).

But Florida has been at their plateau and more coming down than going up. For Friday they reported 43 deaths, which was down from 47 last week, and 50 the week before.

Here are their past four weeks.

6 states might be manipulating COVID-19 data as they reopen, reports suggest — here's what can skew the numbers

Several states have presented COVID-19 data in ways that might misrepresent their outbreaks and response efforts as they attempt to reopen, according to news reports.
Texas, Virginia, and Vermont reportedly combined tests for active and past cases, inflating their perceived testing capacities.
Florida, Georgia, and Arizona have been accused of trying to downplay case counts by fudging numbers or silencing coronavirus researchers.
As all 50 states at least partially reopen, accurate data is crucial to preventing, detecting, and containing potential surges of new cases.

How long does our coldhearted dumb fuck Lil Schitty follows trumps lead and posts something on this!!!!! He already posted the Co change....when will he give another big swallow and support trumps stupidity?????

WASHINGTON — President Donald Trump, eager to reopen the economy, has begun questioning the official coronavirus death toll, suggesting the numbers, which have hobbled his approval ratings and harmed his reelection prospects, are inflated.

In coronavirus task force and other White House meetings, conversations with health officials have returned to similar suspicions: that the data compiled by state health departments and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention include people who have died with the coronavirus but of other conditions. The numbers, some say, include too many “presumed” cases of COVID-19 and too many Americans who were never tested for the disease.

Last Friday, Trump told reporters that he accepted the current death toll, but that the figures could be “lower than” the official count, which now totals nearly 95,000.

Most statisticians and public health experts say he is wrong; the death toll is probably far higher than what is publicly known. People are dying at their houses and nursing homes without ever being tested, and deaths early this year were likely misidentified as influenza or described only as pneumonia.

Dr. Anthony Fauci, the nation’s top infectious disease expert, told lawmakers this month that the overall toll was likely an undercount. “I don’t know exactly what percent higher but almost certainly it is higher,” he said at a Senate health committee hearing.

Jennifer Nuzzo, a senior scholar at the Johns Hopkins Center for Health Security, which is closely tracking the coronavirus pandemic, said that “the officially reported numbers don’t reflect the true level of illness and death that have occurred.”

“We very much feel the reported numbers reflect an undercount,” she said.

Inside the White House, doubts about the official numbers are pervasive, though they come in different forms. Trump is in search of good news to promote his administration’s response to the pandemic and to press states to reopen. Dr. Deborah Birx, the White House’s coronavirus response coordinator, is a numbers obsessive and wants her own data to supplement information coming in from the states and the CDC. One official has even accused hospitals of potentially exaggerating their coronavirus patient counts to milk money from Medicare.

Top White House officials have even discussed appointing a “forensic” team to audit how some hospital systems and state health departments have been tallying infections and deaths, according to one senior administration official. Multiple senior White House officials said they were unaware of such conversations.

Denny....

You do realize that heritage is something that is handed down from the past, like a tradition. My wife has the same heritage as every other person who grew up in "PWB".

The fact that she is Asian would have no bearing on that.

Unless, of course your old racist white brain believes that different races are born with different predetermined "heritage" as if by some osmosis.
