Very interesting piece how trumps misinformation about mail in voting is affecting the deepest of red areas!!!!!!!! Good for him.....shooting himself in his fat old white ass as pence's chief of staff, a mask denier test positive!!!!!
Will the truthers continue to defend him?????? Please confirm Amy......it will be your last gasp as you get exiled to the trash heap of history!!!!!
President Trump privately told donors this past week that it will be “very tough” for Republicans to keep control of the Senate in the upcoming election because some of the party’s senators are candidates he cannot support.
More specially, center-right parties have long been crucial to the health of modern liberal democracies, according to the Harvard political scientist Daniel Ziblatt’s study of the emergence of democracy in Western Europe. Among other benefits, a strong center right can co-opt more palatable aspects of the far right, isolating and draining energy from the more radical elements that threaten to destabilize the system.
Todays GOP does not come close to serving this function. It has instead allowed itself to be co-opted and radicalized by Trumpism. Its ideology has been reduced to a slurry of paranoia, white grievance and authoritarian populism. Its governing vision is reactionary, a cross between obstructionism and owning the libs. Its policy agenda, as defined by the party platform, is whatever President Trump wants — which might not be so pathetic if Mr. Trump’s interests went beyond “Build a wall!”
A source with knowledge of the situation tells me that when Bobulinski called Jim Biden about this recently, Biden said “go fuck yourself” and hung up the phone
The metadata on the Biden family’s pitch materials to the Chinese Communist Party show that the doc was created on Jim Biden’s computer. Why were the Bidens pitching the Chinese Communist Party for an influence operation in the US?
The fucked up tweet storm of fake bullshit starts in earnest since that is all the GOP has left!!!!!!!! Sad Rudy got caught playing with himself....just like fucked up!!!!!
Several members of Vice President Mike Pence’s inner circle, including at least four members of his staff, have tested positive for the coronavirus in the past few days, people briefed on the matter said, raising new questions about the safety protocols at the White House, where masks are not routinely worn.
Devin O’Malley, a spokesman for Mr. Pence, said that the vice president’s chief of staff, Marc Short, had tested positive. A person briefed on the diagnosis said he received it on Saturday.
“Vice President Pence and Mrs. Pence both tested negative for Covid-19 today, and remain in good health,” Mr. O’Malley said Saturday, adding, “While Vice President Pence is considered a close contact with Mr. Short, in consultation with the White House Medical Unit, the vice president will maintain his schedule in accordance with the C.D.C. guidelines for essential personnel.”
THE WASHINGTON POST: THE LAST FOUR YEARS READ LIKE PUTIN'S WISLIST 8:29 am
“Under President Trump, the United States has abandoned international climate and nuclear arms agreements. It has announced its withdrawal from the World Health Organization, questioned the future of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, and antagonized stalwart allies like Germany.
“America’s past presidents have long promoted democracy, human rights and the rule of law abroad, yet Trump instead has waged an assault on those values at home, where he has weakened institutions, shredded norms and declared without evidence that the upcoming election will be ‘rigged.'
“America’s moral authority also has been undercut by the devastatingly high death toll and wrenching economic fallout from the coronavirus pandemic, coupled with the racial reckoning that has convulsed the country."
Obama Rips Into Trump 7:57 am Barack Obama tore into President Trump while stumping for Joe Biden in Florida, urging voters to imagine how nice it would be to have a “normal president” who doesn’t tweet “craziness” every day.
Said Obama: “You’ll be able to go about your lives knowing that the president is not going to suggest injecting bleach. Or retweet conspiracy theories about secret cabals running the world. Or retweeting the claim that Navy SEALs didn’t actually kill bin Laden.”
He added: “You wouldn’t tolerate it from a coworker, you wouldn’t tolerate it from a high school principal, you wouldn’t tolerate it from a coach, you wouldn’t tolerate it from a family member. ‘Florida man’ wouldn’t even do this stuff. Why are we accepting it from the president of the United States?”
New Battleground State Poll 7:47 am
From University of Texas at Tyler: TEXAS: Biden 48%, Trump 45%
TEXAS??? YEP, TEXAS!!!
ASSOCIATED PRESS: NEW VIRUS CASES TOP 83,700 FOR SECOND DAY IN A ROW 7:45 am “A day after the U.S. set a daily record for new confirmed coronavirus infections, it came very close to doing it again.
“Data published by Johns Hopkins University shows that 83,718 new cases in the U.S. were reported Saturday, nearly matching the 83,757 infections reported Friday. Before that, the most cases reported in the United States on a single day had been 77,362 on July 16.”
Trump and Biden Favorability Unchanged 7:20 am After two contentious debates and more than $1.5 billion in advertising, Donald Trump and Joe Biden enter the closing week of a bitter campaign with their favorability ratings relatively unchanged since at least the summer, according to a new ABC News/Ipsos poll.
Trump’s favorability is significantly underwater in the new survey, with more than half of Americans — including more than half of men (53%), Americans over 65 (53%), and independents (57%) — viewing him unfavorably.
The president’s favorability deficit stands at minus-22 in the poll, similar to where he stood on the eve of the 2016 election.
Biden’s standing is near even at 44% to 43%, roughly where he’s been for several months in this and similar surveys.
Coronavirus Cases Linked to Joe Biden's Campaign Events
Two confirmed cases of coronavirus were traced to campaign events for Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden in Minnesota.
Though the former vice president gives speeches in crowdless rooms and hosts socially distanced events, one Minnesotan contracted the virus at a Biden event in Duluth on Sept. 18, according to state health officials. Another who was diagnosed with the virus said they attended a Biden campaign event outside of Minneapolis on Sept. 22. https://twitter.com/TrumpWarRoom/status/1320149712234795008
Almost no one attends Biden events and they still spread the virus.
AUSTIN — Former Vice President Joe Biden has regained a narrow lead over President Donald Trump in Texas, after wooing more independents and Hispanics, according to a poll released Sunday by The Dallas Morning News and University of Texas at Tyler.
Biden’s lead among likely voters is 48%-45%, within the poll’s margin of error.
In the Texas race for U.S. Senate, Republican incumbent John Cornyn lost a bit more ground against Democrat MJ Hegar. Cornyn’s lead now stands at 8 points, down from 11 in September.
Also, in a sign of potential trouble for Texas as it grapples with the coronavirus pandemic, fewer than half of Texas registered voters say they’re likely to take a COVID-19 vaccine when it becomes available. That’s a slide from last spring, when about three-quarters were willing.
“Texas remains a tossup because of the public’s attitudes toward President Trump,” said political scientist Mark Owens, who directed the poll.
Biden's call for sweeping mask mandate sees no change from Democratic governors
Biden said Americans should be wearing a mask 'when they're outside'
Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden drew widespread attention when he called for a three-month nationwide outdoor mask mandate, and for governors to enact them in their states. But nearly a month later, no Democratic governor has enacted the kind of sweeping order Biden sought.
FUCKING DADDY proudly says: Two confirmed cases of coronavirus were traced to campaign events for Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden in Minnesota.
Two? Did he say TWO?
And how does that compare with the hundreds that are now coming in from Trump's packed rallies?
It will be a matter of historical record that Trump, in his desperate but futile egotistical attempt to win reelection, risked numerous lives by holding rallies at poorly chosen, poorly spaced mass events, while Biden cared enough for the safety of voters to respect the advice of scientists by advocating distancing and mask wearing, even if that meant he could not feed his own ego with huge crowd events.
Interesting about that Texas poll someone posted here. Gop/lean gop to dem/lean dem 49 vs 43. In Texas? I dont think so. .and a full 69% said they gey their news primarily through Facebook and Twitter.
Regarding Ch's article "A telling statement" in the next thread down:
I have respect for Luntz, but the very idea that there could be a number of people who at this point in our history can say they have not yet made up their minds is questionable.
It means they have witnessed some of the most disgusting antics ever performed or spoken by an American president without turning against him.
That makes it little wonder that a number of THEM would be more impressed by Trump than by Biden at the last debate.
Those people had stopped demanding decency long ago.
The total number of cases has reached 8.6 million, with over 225,000 deaths.
And the toll is being felt around the country.
Among the dead is an 18-year-old who was a student at University of Dayton in Ohio. "I think it is a wake-up call," said a fellow student of the death of the teen, who had gone home to Illinois in September for remote study.Illinois' top public health official broke down in tears during a news conference Friday as she reported over 3,800 new coronavirus cases, bringing the state's total to more than 370,000.Ohio set another single-day case record after reporting 2,518 new cases Friday, bringing its total to 192,948, according to NBC News' tally. "We can't let this situation continue to domino out of control," the governor said this week as the state put out a new ad with a visualization of how the virus spreads.New Mexico has seen its cases double over the past two weeks to more than 40,000. "The threat of this virus remains very real", the governor reminded residents.South Dakota's Pine Ridge Indian Reservation was put under a one-week lockdown by the Oglala Sioux Tribe to slow the spread of the virus.Idaho is also experiencing an uptick in cases that is starting to overwhelm hospitals in the state. “Our hospital is not built for a pandemic," said a pulmonologist at a hospital in Coeur d’Alene.New Jersey's governor said Saturday he extended a public health emergency in the state for an additional 30 days in light of an "alarming rise in cases," the highest since May.And the top health official in one of Florida’s most populous counties discouraged parents from hosting birthday parties for their children, no matter the size.
The University of Dayton student died Thursday after a lengthy hospitalization, the school's president said in a letter to the university community, reported NBC affiliate WDTN in Dayton. The university didn't say whether the student, who was in his first year, was believed to have contracted the virus at the school or elsewhere. He had left campus on Sept. 13 to study remotely from home.
In Illinois, the state's top health official, Dr. Ngozi Ezike, became emotional at a news conference where she noted the increase in the case count and that over 9,400 people have died of the virus in the state. "These are people who started with us in 2020 and won't be with us at the Thanksgiving table."

It’s impossible to square these huge Trump gatherings across the country with the polls. I mean, there are NO spontaneous Biden rallies or parades. Something isn’t adding up...
Criminals who don't report their crimes on their tax returns are innocent ?
yep.
this is the same 'logic' that demands more and more and more 'common sense' gun laws imposed upon the law abiding, while criminals continue to kill with stolen guns like it's their fucking JOB.
biden's innocent because he hid all that chi-com cash and never reported it, while Trump is guilty of SOMETHING, we just don't know what it is but we'll find it in his tax returns.
let me know when the NY Times publishes their Sunday feature article on all of the biden dealings with china and ukraine.
If you watched CNN, MSNBC, NBC, CBS, or ABC--you wouldn't know Trump is speaking to roaring crowds multiple times a day in swing states across the country.
The media can avoid it, but it can't stop what is happening.

Let us know when you grow a brain you worthless fucking idiot!!!!! It is not the flu and only 50% of the country got the available vaccine......I imagine you are one who did not because you don't believe in them!!!!!!! How many more times are you going to prove how dumb you are???????
i asked him what it was like and he replied - 'think of the worst hangover you ever had in college. same thing, only it lasts about a week.'
as CH has posted, in 2018 we lost 170,000 people to the flu.nobody went apeshit. you guys simply NEED covid to be a horror because everything else you've tried to remove Trump has FAILED, and failed in spectacular fashion.

I imagine you are one who did not because you don't believe in them!!!!!!!
i get a flu shot every year, BWAA. on average the efficacy hovers around 50%, but i get it anyway.
everyone i know of who has died from the 'rona had been very old. average age around 90.
dishonest folks focus on new 'cases' simply for political gain. the honest among us focus on deaths and hospitalizations because those are the numbers that matter.
you, the alky and the pederast are focused on new 'cases.'
Less than a month ago, we, as a nation, received this letter from DNI Ratcliffe to the Senate Judiciary Committee outlining Hillary Clinton's successful disinformation attempt at tying President Trump to Russian Collusion.
And why don't the other 50% get it......?????? Funny you get a shot but hold Obama accountable for all that did not.....god you are a dumb fuck!!!!!!!!! bWAAAAAAAAAAA
And why don't the other 50% get it......?????? Funny you get a shot but hold Obama accountable for all that did not....
BWAA,
if the flu shot efficacy rate runs around 50%, that means roughly half of those who got the shot will still get the flu.
i hold 0linsky accountable for nothing. i just enjoy pointing out the hypocrisy of asshats like you and the alky who are freaking out over 8 million 'rona 'cases' while you remained silent when we had 60,000,000 H1N1 cases 10 years ago and no one gave a shit.
Which also means half the people did not get and those that did get a less severe case you dumb fucking loser!!!!! You want to keep losing the freak out.....talk to someone who has lost someone....something you don't give a fuck about...!!!!! And if you don't blame Olinsky, why do you keep posting the same bullshit about his handling the flu??? Are you just trying to be stupid or just an asshole?????
Ain't this special. The New York Times is sitting on a potential mountain of Hunter Biden-related foia documents, that the State Department has NOT put up on its foia website. "All the News that Fit to Hide...." https://courthousenews.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/Hunter-Biden.pdf
i have. more than a few. in each case the deceased was in their nineties. old enough that a bad common cold could develop into pneumonia and punch their ticket regardless.
you and the pederast and the alky will never admit the obvious -
that you are politicizing the virus because you've exhausted every other angle to harm Trump, and this is what you're left with.
it's you, not me who doesn't care about the dead. you gleefully wish for the death rate to skyrocket out of political desperation.
That's an impossibility. Once the ballot is separated from the voter and counted, it cannot be recalled.
Best advice? If you're not sure wait.
It's not a short-term answer but blockchain crypto-voting may be something we need to pursue with physical voting for those without internet access ???
But until then (if its feasible and foolproof) you are right
(1/2) Spoke on @TuckerCarlson about Clark County NV insanity. We were told after Dem "reforms" that mail-in voting’s safe b/c signature verification would stop fraud. Instead the absurdly lax system’s letting 99% of signatures count. They’re flying through!
What is going in Nevada is unbelievable. Like my dad said there is no mail signature verification requirement! They are letting through 99% of the signatures for mail in ballots.
It's not a short-term answer but blockchain crypto-voting may be something we need to pursue with physical voting for those without internet access ???
You have to solve the secret ballot dilemma. All states require a secret ballot. And one of the requirements is that once ballot is open and the vote known, it cannot be traced back to the original voter.
BWAAAAAAPAAAAAA!!!!!!! You mean like trump has polarized wearing masks by mocking those who wear them????? Including you????? But you don't give a shit!!!!!!
It's not a short-term answer but blockchain crypto-voting may be something we need to pursue
absolutely not.
all the folks in silicon valley who would be the ones to develop this are hard left marxists. this would be about the least secure and most vulnerable option because you can bet everything you have that these scumbags would build backdoors that would allow them to change the votes en masse to achieve a desired result.
in the world of secure elections technology IS NOT your friend. we need to go backwards technologically. paper ballots, mechanical voting booths, etc. keep the googles and fuckbooks of the world as far away from the process as possible.
Oh and if you watch video after the ballots go through they are separated so you can't go back and identify them or challenge them... 1 person (democrat) decides with no one looking over him.
Revote entire state if close and Nevada means anything ???
Shameful.
Glad we will have a 9 person Supreme court to handle challenges.

I don't trust the new voting machines either for that matter (touch screens). Not the tabulators if you want to get real paranoid.
I did like the Iraqi coloring peoples fingers with some non-removable ink after they voted.
But I sure don't trust what we currently have.
Especially in states like California, specifically LA county.
TRUMP, speaking in a state where COVID-19 cases are surging: “We’re rounding the corner. We got the vaccines, all that, but even without it, we’re rounding the corner.” — Wisconsin rally Saturday.
THE FACTS: Rising cases and his own government health experts tell a different story.
Infection has been increasing in the vast majority of states and deaths are rising in 30. This as the flu season approaches, another layer of risk to health.
Dr. Anthony Fauci, the government’s top infectious diseases expert, has repeatedly made clear that he disagrees with Trump’s assessment based on the data and has cautioned that people should not underestimate the pandemic. He says Americans will “need to hunker down and get through this fall and winter because it’s not going to be easy.” Fauci and other health experts, such as Dr. Robert Redfield of the CDC, have warned of a potentially bad fall because of dual threats of the coronavirus and the flu season.
Trump spoke in Wisconsin, which broke records last week for new coronavirus cases, deaths and hospitalizations. Confirmed virus cases and deaths are also on the rise in the swing states of Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Pennsylvania, Ohio and Wisconsin.
The president, who was treated for the coronavirus this month, continues to shun wearing masks and to hold campaign rallies at which face masks are not required. Many attendees don’t wear them.
Dr. Scott Gottlieb, a former head of the Food and Drug Administration under Trump, said even if a vaccine becomes available late this year, the first group of people who get vaccinated probably won’t see the full effects of protection until February or March.
“The next three months are going to be very challenging,” he said Sunday on CBS’ “Face the Nation.” “There’s really no backstop against the spread that we’re seeing.”
___
TRUMP, asked about the many attendees at a White House event who got sick with COVID-19: “Just the other day they came out with a statement that 85% of the people that wear masks catch it.” — Miami forum.
NBC’S SAVANNAH GUTHRIE: “Well, they didn’t say that, I know that study.”
TRUMP: “Well that’s what I heard and that’s what I saw, and -- regardless, but everybody’s tested and they’re tested often.”
THE FACTS: That was at least the third time the same day that he flatly misstated the findings of a federal study and the first time he was called out on it. The study by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention did not find that 85% of mask wearers catch COVID-19. If that were so, the majority of Americans would be infected.
It found something quite different: that 85% of a small group of COVID-19 patients surveyed reported they had worn a mask often or always around the time they would have become infected. Dining in restaurants, where masks are set aside for meals, was one activity suspected of spreading community infection. The study not declare masks ineffective.
Trump told a North Carolina rally earlier in the day: “Did you see CDC? That 85% of the people wearing a mask catch it, OK?” And to Fox Business Network: ”CDC comes out with a statement that 85% of the people wearing masks catch it."
The President said yesterday that people who died of the covid virus, had underlying conditions
Fact Check: True. 94% of Americas were reported to have died of COVID-19 had one or more underlaying conditions.
In some ridiculous examples; in Florida a 38 year old motorcycle accident victim was reported as a COVID-19 death because he tested positive for COVID-19 post-mortium.
I don't trust the new voting machines either for that matter (touch screens). Not the tabulators if you want to get real paranoid.
here we use paper ballots, but we use electronic scanners to compile the votes. i have no idea if my ballot is accurately counted. i'd like to see the scanner spit out a receipt showing your vote. if my local gas pump can spit out a receipt showing my total purchase, my vote scanners should be able to do at least that much.
imho, this is a problem that only worsens. as long as there is a single democrat at any level anywhere in America involved in our electoral process, that's a vulnerability and the potential for fraud will always exist.
look at how hard the left continues to push mail in voting. if mail in voting favored the GOP by even a fraction of a percentage, the left would burn the USPS to the fucking ground. the postal workers union publicly endorses the democrat candidate, and we trust these clowns to securely deliver our ballots? i was born at night but not LAST night.
I am a trained clinical psychologist and have worked as a clinician. If Donald had walked into my office for an evaluation, I would have gathered less information about him from a normal intake interview than I could gather from the countless hours of video available from his decades in the public eye. Often when self-reports aren’t available — because the patient is either unable or unwilling to offer information — the clinician turns to those close to the patient in order to fill in the blanks. But none of that is necessary because examples of Donald’s disordered, impulsive, self-defeating and destructive behavior, which are unlikely to present themselves in a clinical setting, have been extensively recorded.
Alan Stone, a Harvard professor of psychiatry, wrote that, as citizens, “psychiatrists enjoy freedom of speech — just not in their professional capacity.” Individual psychiatrists have agency and can speak if they want to. But to have a substantive and effective conversation about Donald’s fitness for office, a foundation must be laid by a governing body that can more effectively communicate the overarching concerns.
Adopting a notionally neutral stance in this case doesn’t just create a void where professional expertise should be — it serves to normalize dysfunctional behavior. Paradoxically, the suggestion seems to be that speaking out about mental illness is the problem. But in truth, it is remaining silent about Donald’s obvious psychological impairment that is stigmatizing. By claiming that its silence is neutral, the APA is essentially granting Donald’s campaign an in-kind contribution while the American people remain subject to his often deranged and unpredictable behavior, without the tools necessary to evaluate it or understand how it renders him unfit for the office he holds.
There are more cases because there are more infections.
LOL. you fucking moron.
a case = an infection, alky.
that is not in dispute.
LOL.
a meaningless number without context.
hospitalizations and deaths are the numbers that matter. positives? so what. Trump tested positive, spent the weekend at Walter Reed, and completely recovered without issue.
just because it would be a death sentence for someone as frail as you means nothing to the rest of us.
masking is practically worthless, with the cloth masks
All studies and professionals say it slows the spread of the virus.....there is no disputing that fact!!!!!! The other fact is trump made mask wearing a sign of manhood.....so why do you wear one rat??????? BWAAAAAAPAAAAAA!!!!
There are more cases because there are more infections.
Depends. The most popular test is the antigen test. But that only shows if you have ever been infected by the virus. If this was your first time testing and were asymptomatic all the time you could have been infected and recover in March and only just now being "counted" as a new case. Hospitalization rates due to COVID-19 are far more significant.
A total of 19 randomised controlled trials were included in this study – 8 in community settings, 6 in healthcare settings and 5 as source control. Most of these randomised controlled trials used different interventions and outcome measures. In the community, masks appeared to be effective with and without hand hygiene, and both together are more protective. Randomised controlled trials in health care workers showed that respirators, if worn continually during a shift, were effective but not if worn intermittently. Medical masks were not effective, and cloth masks even less effective. When used by sick patients randomised controlled trials suggested protection of well contacts.
Conclusion
The study suggests that community mask use by well people could be beneficial, particularly for COVID-19, where transmission may be pre-symptomatic. The studies of masks as source control also suggest a benefit, and may be important during the COVID-19 pandemic in universal community face mask use as well as in health care settings. Trials in healthcare workers support the use of respirators continuously during a shift. This may prevent health worker infections and deaths from COVID-19, as aerosolisation in the hospital setting has been documented.
Rat proves what Dr Fauci and the CDC have said all along and what I have said many times!!! Why did it take you so long to reach the conclusion????? Too much donnie?????? BWAAAAAAAAAAA!!!
WASHINGTON — During the Barack Obama comet streak in 2008, a lot of Americans were electrified by the idea of leaping into modernity with a brainy, young, Black cool cat.
Now a lot of Americans seem resigned yet relieved to step back in time with a sentimental old-school Irish pol who was born the year Bing Crosby topped the charts with “White Christmas.”
Back to a time when the president did not rubbish people like an insult comic. Back to a time when the president did not peddle his own lethal reality. Back to a time when the president cared about the whole country, not just the part that voted for him. Back to a time when the president didn’t dismiss science, treat the Justice Department like his personal legal defense firm, besmirch the intelligence community, and denigrate the F.B.I. for not doing his bidding. Back to a time when the president behaved like an adult, not a delinquent.
You can only let King Kong, as Don McGahn, Trump’s first White House counsel, dubbed his former boss, smash up the metropolis for so long.
Donald Trump does have a gift for symmetry, though, you must admit.
He began his presidency with an epic tantrum about pictures showing that his Inaugural crowd could not compare with Obama’s.
And now he could be ending his presidency with another epic tantrum about crowd size. After Lesley Stahl trolled him during a “60 Minutes” taping, saying, “You used to have bigger rallies,” you could almost see steam pouring out of the president’s ears. He stormed out of the interview a short while later.
He may be finishing right where he started, focused on himself.
Whatever Joe Biden’s shortcomings, he is genuine when he says he will make his presidency about helping others.
As the former vice president vowed in a speech in Wilmington, Del., on Friday, “I’ll listen to the American people, no matter what their politics.”
Biden’s appeal comes from his own struggles. He was a working-class kid who stuttered. He was an adult who suffered terrible losses. He was not coddled by a rich father who was always there to bail him out of a jam. Biden is an empath, Trump a sociopath.
Somehow Trump grew aggrieved buoyed by family money in a Fifth Avenue penthouse, while Biden remained optimistic despite the fates throwing down one lightning bolt after another.
“Biden feels others’ pain,’’ said the Trump biographer Michael D’Antonio. “Trump doesn’t even feel his own.”
D’Antonio pointed out that Trump’s more modulated debate performance was disturbing, in that it proved “that being horrible has been a choice all along.”
“He had the capacity to be normal,” D’Antonio said. “He just prefers being the bad boy, the out-of-control deviant member of society who says the things that no one else will say. He’s just performing. He needs the adoration of the mob more than he needs the acceptance of normal people.’’
Trump would rather be bitchy than boring. He loves being a gaper’s delight. That’s why that long-yearned-for pivot never came.
Biden’s debate performance wasn’t scintillating. He let some balls get past him. He did not word his comment about transitioning from oil dependence artfully. But he checked the boxes he needed to check and he successfully presented himself as the anti-venom to Trump’s venomous attempts to divide the country for personal gain.
Trump calls Biden gloomy but he’s the one threatening the apocalypse if he loses — low-income hordes overrunning pristine suburbs, scary immigrants streaming north, a stock market crash and a cadaverous New York City.
“Wave bye-bye to your 401(k), cause it’s going down the tubes,’’ he said at a rally Friday in The Villages in Florida, warning that Biden’s climate aims might somehow deprive Floridians of air-conditioning.
Isolated in his shrink-wrap, Fox-speak bubble in the debate, he ignored the fact that he has already turned America into a sort of dystopia by bungling and dissimulating on the virus.
He didn’t even seem to know how he sounded when he bragged that undocumented immigrant children separated from their parents and held in cages are being “so well taken care of.”
When asked about families living under the polluted clouds of oil refineries and chemical plants — made worse by his administration’s incessant rollback of regulations — the president intoned that, actually, all that smog is a small price to pay because the families “are employed heavily and they are making a lot of money.”
Trump began the pandemic blowing off masks and, even as we enter a new fall surge and even after the president and his family contracted the virus, he was still mocking a White House reporter’s mask on Friday. It’s unfathomable that the president of the United States would turn himself into a public health menace. But he has.
Trump’s problem is that he keeps wowing the same people. And that base just isn’t large enough.
“Republicans were relieved that he was eating with a knife and fork,’’ David Axelrod cracked about the debate. “But it was still the same meal.’’
Trump is clearly stunted. His father encouraged his opportunism and cynicism: Do what you need to do to grab whatever you want. And never do anything that is not in your own self-interest. That’s only for suckers and losers.
“Normal life, that’s all we want,” Trump said at the Florida rally.
Lawmakers asked Redfield and other top health officials about the government's response to the coronavirus pandemic, and he was questioned about the CDC's recommendation that people wear masks — a practice President Trump has often dismissed.
"I'm not going to comment directly about the president, but I am going to comment as the CDC director that face masks, these face masks, are the most important powerful public health tool we have," Redfield said. "And I will continue to appeal for all Americans, all individuals in our country, to embrace these face coverings."
Get Breaking News Delivered to Your Inbox
Redfield said if Americans wore face masks for several weeks, "we would bring this pandemic under control," because there is scientific evidence they work and they are our "best defense."
"I might even go so far as to say that this face mask is more guaranteed to protect me against COVID than when I take a COVID vaccine, because it may be 70%. And if I don't get an immune response, the vaccine is not going to protect me," Redfield said. "This face mask will."
Several experts contacted by CBS News agree with that assessment: Since vaccines do not guarantee an immune response, masks may be more effective at preventing COVID-19. The FDA has previously said it would approve a coronavirus vaccine that was at least 50% effective. While that could significantly reduce the number of hospitalizations and deaths, it would not completely eliminate the disease or guarantee protection.

Turning the corner on covid-19

Trump and Biden Favorability Unchanged
7:20 am
After two contentious debates and more than $1.5 billion in advertising, Donald Trump and Joe Biden enter the closing week of a bitter campaign with their favorability ratings relatively unchanged since at least the summer, according to a new ABC News/Ipsos poll.
Trump’s favorability is
significantly underwater in the new survey,
with more than half of Americans — including
more than half of men (53%),
Americans over 65 (53%),
and independents (57%)
— viewing him unfavorably.

Build Back Better? What in the hell has Biden built in 47 years?
The Dallas Morning News reported

FUCKING DADDY proudly says:
Two confirmed cases of coronavirus were traced to campaign events for Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden in Minnesota.

The total number of cases has reached 8.6 million, with over 225,000 deaths.
And the toll is being felt around the country.

There is so much damning information on the Biden family coming out.
Unfortunately, 50+ million people have already voted.
States should allow voters to change their ballots so they reflect these new revelations.
Some are now allowing "cleanup" of signatures and the like.
But lots of unhappy voters now, though they are spreading the word so it may be helpful anyway for the Trump vote at the end.

If someone voted for you without your knowledge then there is nothing that can be done.
That's why voter fraud should be severely punished.
By election day 275,000 will have died of the COVID-45 infection.
Commonsense said...
That's an impossibility. Once the ballot is separated from the voter and counted, it cannot be recalled.
Best advice? If you're not sure wait.
It's not a short-term answer but blockchain crypto-voting may be something we need to pursue with physical voting for those without internet access ???
But until then (if its feasible and foolproof) you are right
The Director of the FBI has said that there is no evidence of extensive vote fraud.

you and the pederast and the alky will never admit the obvious -
that you are politicizing the virus because you've exhausted every other angle to harm Trump, and this is what you're left with.
it's you, not me who doesn't care about the dead. you gleefully wish for the death rate to skyrocket out of political desperation.
at least be man enough to admit THAT much, BWAA.

This is democrat election fraud - watch

You have to solve the secret ballot dilemma. All states require a secret ballot. And one of the requirements is that once ballot is open and the vote known, it cannot be traced back to the original voter.
The President said yesterday that people who died of the covid virus, had underlying condition. rrb says Seig Heil Mr Twitler
that you are politicizing the virus because
BWAAAAAAPAAAAAA!!!!!!! You mean like trump has polarized wearing masks by mocking those who wear them????? Including you????? But you don't give a shit!!!!!!
letting through 99% of the signatures for mail in ballots.

Well Biden did brag the he "had the best voter fraud organization in the world". 😄😄😄
He used the same shit about testing. We have more infections because we are testing more people!
That is purely political bullshit
Shameful.
Glad we will have a 9 person Supreme court to handle challenges.

he's quoting the data that refers to the fact that the number of covid deaths with no comorbidities is infinitesimally small.

I don't trust the new voting machines either for that matter (touch screens). Not the tabulators if you want to get real paranoid.
I did like the Iraqi coloring peoples fingers with some non-removable ink after they voted.
But I sure don't trust what we currently have.
Especially in states like California, specifically LA county.

which is completely logical. so it's no wonder that you can't comprehend it.

THE VIRUS
Trump is scared to death of defeat
___

Yes. Masks don’t kill viruses. They maintain at mouth level for longer than they would be there otherwise.
Would be real interesting to see the science of what the Danish study found.

Perspective | Mary Trump: Psychiatrists know what’s wrong with my uncle. Let them tell voters.
By Mary L. Trump

He wants to quit testing, so he will look like he's defeating the virus.
So you are conceding that the new cases are mostly due to expanded testing.
That would be 45,000 in 9 days or 500 people a day

Interesting piece even rat the dumb fuck can understand.....masks slow the spread of virus!!!!!!!!!
There are more cases because there are more infections.
Depends. The most popular test is the antigen test. But that only shows if you have ever been infected by the virus. If this was your first time testing and were asymptomatic all the time you could have been infected and recover in March and only just now being "counted" as a new case. Hospitalization rates due to COVID-19 are far more significant.
masks slow the spread of virus!!!!!!!!!
Results

But his only normal is chaos.
