BTW.....the mouth of the souths indignation of govmt by charging distillers for making hand sanitizer again seems premature, typical of biased UGA drunkards who hates everything america!!!!!!

Distilleries helped out by making hand sanitizer. Now they’ve been threatened with unexpected FDA fees.

When the coronavirus pandemic hit, distilleries were among the businesses pivoting like ballerinas: Many of them switched from making booze to cranking out hand sanitizer. The bottles of virus-killing gel were at a premium, as shoppers cleared grocery aisles of them along with other necessities such as toilet paper and flour.
Now, hundreds of distilleries around the country are surprised to find out that their forays into the sanitizer business could cost them, as the Food and Drug Administration warned some that they owe more than $14,000 in fees levied on the makers of over-the-counter drugs. A notice that the agency posted this week — and emails to at least some distilleries — have the industry in a late-year state of confusion, although the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services indicated on Thursday that a reprieve was in order.

Looks to me they will not be charged....but that's just me!!!!

Happy New Year

As of Thursday, 342,577 Americans had died from the pandemic.

By inauguration day, we will have lost more lives than in World War Two.

That will be his legacy.

The National Climate Assessment, America’s premier contribution to climate knowledge, stands out for many reasons: Hundreds of scientists across the federal government and academia join forces to compile the best insights available on climate change. The results, released just twice a decade or so, shape years of government decisions.

Now, as the clock runs down on President Trump’s time in office, the climate assessment has gained a new distinction: It is one of the few major U.S. climate initiatives that his administration tried, yet largely failed, to undermine.

How the Trump White House attempted to put its mark on the report, and why those efforts stumbled, demonstrates the resilience of federal climate science despite the administration’s haphazard efforts to impede it. This article is based on interviews with nearly a dozen current and former government officials and others familiar with the process.

In November, the administration removed the person responsible for the next edition of the report and replaced him with someone who has downplayed climate science, though at this point it seems to be too little, too late. But the efforts started back in 2018, when officials pushed out a top official and leaned on scientists to soften their conclusions — the scientists refused — and then later tried to bury the report, which didn’t work either.

“Thank God they didn’t know how to run a government,” said Thomas Armstrong, who during the Obama administration led the U.S. Global Change Research Program, which produces the assessment. “It could have been a lot worse.”

What makes the failure to impede the climate assessment remarkable is that Mr. Trump has made it a top priority to undercut efforts to address climate change. And on most fronts, he succeeded, reversing scores of environmental rules, relaxing restrictions on air pollution and opening new land to oil and gas drilling.

The national assessment enjoys unique prominence, pulling together the work of scientists across the federal government. The law requires a new one every four years.

For Mr. Trump, who has called climate change a hoax, the assessment posed a particular challenge. Trying to politicize or dismiss climate science is one thing when the warnings come from Democrats or academics. But this report comes from his administration’s very own agencies.

all at taxpayer expense, and all for the sole reason of keeping the grift going and the taxpayer $$$ rolling in.

Yep rat, it is tax payer expense...Just like the vaccine, FDA, NOAA, NHTSA, USMC USAF, etc......why don't you just go fuck yourself......BWAAAAAAAA!!!!!! Better suggestion don't pay your taxes and get away with it like trump!!!!!!

Dept of HHS has stepped in to over rule the FDAs stupid attempt to tax local distilleries for helping out by switching to producing hand sanitizer in 2020. Whoever was responsible for this at FDA should probably be fired.

indeed, but that person will instead be promoted with a massive raise and a massive increase in their bureaucratic power because shut up.

Did anyone see Ryan Seacrest interview the Biden last night? I found it a little alarming that Jill did 2/3 of the talking. If you compare joe Biden to 10 years ago, it's obvious that he has list something. I really don't think he is up to the job and think we'll have president Harris before Jan 2025. This is a very dangerous precedent. Regardless of what anyone thinks of Trump.

And I find it alarming that it bothers you!!!!!!!!!! You obviously have too much Biden on what is left of your demented trumpian wasted mind!!!!!! BTW...trump was never up for the job and his exit is certainly proving that axiom!!!!!!

Judge Scorches South Dakota Over Virus Response
9:56 am
A federal judge says a South Dakota court can’t use the coronavirus pandemic as an excuse to delay a trial and in the same breath criticized South Dakota’s response to the pandemic, saying it has done “little, if anything,” to mitigate the spread of the virus, the Sioux Falls Argus Leader reports.

Said U.S. District Judge Charles Kornmann: “South Dakota has done little, if anything, to curtail the spread of the virus. South Dakota cannot ‘take advantage’ of its own failures to follow scientific facts and safeguards in entering blanket denials of the rights of speedy trials.”

Sanity speaking to insanity.

but myballs, stuttering joe is "our gift to America"

LOL.

The stuttering fool who is being rammed down our throats for the next four years is not merely a privileged white man with a remarkable career in politics. No, stuttering Joe is a gift to America.

Biden has all been hailed a savior who can fix all of the damage done by the Trump administration over the past four years. WaPo calls us “vulnerable” until Biden is sworn in. We’re a country in “limbo“, according to CNN. In a time such as this, Joe Biden is a true gift, says Salon. His stuttering is what makes him so:

[...]

Proof that anyone who supports stuttering Joe Biden will hear anything he wants to hear. To be honest, I don’t hear much in the way of stammering and stuttering. I hear defensiveness, confusion, muffled words and a sheer lack of ability to focus on the topic at hand. One would think that this is a warning sign to Americans of what’s to come. But this, according to our friends at Salon, THIS, is a gift to America.

Yet stuttering has, in many ways, defined Biden nevertheless. It’s hard to imagine that his extensive training to ‘think in terms of not rushing’ hasn’t come in handy in the past two soul-sucking months, or that memorizing all that poetry — like Seamus Heaney’s line about ‘the longed-for tidal wave of justice’ — was a bad idea. ‘God’s gift to me was my stuttering,’ he has said. Imagine, if you can after these impulse control-bereft past four years, a president who thinks before speaking. Sounds like God’s gift to us.”-Mary Elizabeth Williams, Salon

Joe Biden actually thinks before speaking? He will think things through, America. Joe Biden is not about rushing life, liberty and you know the thing. He took on Putin and what was going on in Iraq. He took on kids swimming in the pool playing with his leg hair and who can forget, a neighborhood troublemaker by the name of Corn Pop. Look-think about it, man, poor kids are just as bright and talented as white kids. Did he stutter? No, Joe Biden was not stuttering through any of the above statements he made.

Was Joe Biden stuttering when he told a New Hampshire high school teacher that his own IQ was “much higher” (when we know now that Joe was a mediocre student at best)? Was he stuttering when he commented about not being able to go into a 7-Eleven or a Dunkin’ Donuts without a slight Indian accent? Was Biden stuttering when he called American troops “stupid bastards” in 2016? Did he stutter when he called kids in hoodies “gangbangers“? Oh, the irony of Joe Biden and “Comma-la” being on the same team now is a laugh. Kamala Harris waits in the wings for her close-up. Was Biden stuttering when he called a woman a “lying, dog-faced pony soldier”? or was he stuttering when he told Charlamagne Tha God’s listening audience that if they voted for Trump (and not him), they “ain’t black”? Just wondering.

They hear a man who “studied poetry and prose” to combat his stuttering. We hear arrogance. We hear a smug spirit, a combative spirit even. We hear elitism. We hear an old, privileged white guy thinking he is smarter and better than others who dare to question his positions. We hear these sentiments echoed every day with the actions and the statements of liberals nationwide. Joe Biden did not stutter in the above statements. Not at all. He may have gaffed but he certainly did not stutter. And there were times when a stutter may have been welcome. At least it would have been a response. When the going got tough, Joe Biden did not stutter. He fell silent. He closed off his campaign. He locked himself up. He and his campaign avoided.

I would add Germany to that list.
______

But Scott thinks they're all "morons" for benefitting their people and enjoying high standards of living by adopting and enacting such policies.

Countries that have adopted and enacted socialist ideas and policies

Well there you have it. A quote from someone convinces the Reverend. Such a grand critical thinker he is!

Problem is that you can go down the list. Norway is a Democratic constitutional monarchy. So is Sweden, Great Britain. Some are parliamentary Republics. They are all some form of parliament, Republic, or monarchy.

But lacking from the list is China, Cuba, Laos, Vietnam, or any other "actual" socialist country. If the Reverend was so fond of socialism, perhaps he should move to China!
