For those of you who feel upset over the new comment moderation...

There is still a legacy blog available for those who want to comment "without" moderation.

There is also a Hub blog available with some links and a blogroll and a suggestion area to add suggestions for other links or blogs or features or whatever

But anyways!

Obviously the problems with the comments here have sort of forced my hand. I got too many complaints and I am sure that I would have complained to me if I was not me.

Bottom line: I would much prefer to see 15-20 legitimate on-topic comments from people providing their own opinions on the issues at hand than filter through a 100 comment thread that is dominated by two people cutting and pasting us into oblivion. Moreover, new people coming to this blog and looking at a comment thread likely ran away screaming when they saw some of these old unmonitored threads.

Yes, 100 comments looks impressive... until you look at them and realize that 80 of them are two people spamming back and forth with the occasional random person stopping by to complain.

That being said, waiting for a comment to be moderated and approved is a pain in the you know what if you are really looking for a real time debate. Not sure what the answer is (since I cannot sit around 24-7 and look at comments). But if you really need to spam a thread with the latest from NYT over and over and over... then head over to the legacy blog (perhaps it will need to be renamed). Perhaps there can be real discussions as well? Who knows?

I would probably even be open to having other "contributors" than just Roger like we once had.

Pick me and I will be very careful and keep it normal instead of highly partisan discussions like 👍

He has a chance to beat DeSantis 💓
Charlie Crist will challenge Florida’s Republican governor, Ron DeSantis, in November after trouncing Nikki Fried, the state agriculture commissioner, in Tuesday’s Democratic primary.

Crist, a former Republican governor of Florida who switched parties and became a Democratic congressman, fought a campaign touting his experience in office and opposition to the 15-week abortion ban signed by DeSantis.
________
A moderate Republican who changed parties because he is not crazy enough

I am fine with this new format.
It did expose Roger and James as being undisciplined children.

This will have a huge impact on the next election in November.

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Joe Biden on Wednesday is set to announce his long-delayed move to forgive up to $10,000 in federal student loans for many Americans and extend a pause on payments to January, according to three people familiar with the plan.

Biden has faced 0pressure from liberals to provide broader relief to hard-hit borrowers, and from moderates and Republicans questioning the fairness of any widespread forgiveness. The 0delay in Biden’s decision has only heightened the anticipation for what his own aides acknowledge represents a political no-win situation. The people spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss Biden’s intended announcement ahead of time.

Right.

You're the fucking mentally ill asshole who has single-handedly brought this blog to the brink of collapse, making it unreadable.

Yeah, let's pick you. Nurse Ratched hasn't yet 'picked you' to trust with the precious door code to your mental hospital.

So yeah, CH needs to pick you alky.

LOL.

Imbecile.

The National Archives found more than 700 pages of classified material — including “special access program materials,” some of the most highly classified secrets in the government — in 15 boxes recovered from former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate in January, according to correspondence between the National Archivist and his legal team.

The May 10 letter — posted late Monday on the website of John Solomon, a conservative journalist and one of Trump’s authorized liaisons to the National Archives to review papers from his presidency — showed that NARA and federal investigators had grown increasingly alarmed about potential damage to national security caused by the warehousing of these documents at Mar-a-Lago, as well as by Trump’s resistance to sharing them with the FBI.

Democratic efforts to reframe the midterms around the debate over abortion gathered steam, with the party winning a special election for U.S. House in an evenly divided Upstate New York district Tuesday, where their candidate made the issue a centerpiece of his campaign.

And in New York and Florida, Democratic primary voters nominated established candidates for governor and Congress in several closely watched intraparty contests, overwhelmingly choosing well-known officeholders aligned with party leadership over rivals who sought to steer the party in a different direction.

Taken together, the results were a welcome sign for Democratic leaders seeking to rally the party base behind its incumbents and find ways to motivate voters to cast ballots against Republicans, who have long felt well-positioned to make big gains in November. Tuesday’s voting came on the heels of Democrats enacting sweeping legislation to fight global warming and bring down the cost of prescription drugs for seniors, among other things, boosting their hopes of averting a red wave in the fall.

The Democrats have a real chance to keep both sides of Congress.

The only way it will work is if you post the link on your home page

Personally I obviously tried to just offset the POS "pastor" with contrary things to his endless bubble postings, a bit of a timewasting game. The new format has freed up more spare time though it is less interactive with the moderation lag time. Being less of an interactive guy, just a snarky troll, I drop by and read the thread "headlines", glance at the comments and go on with my business.

I may spend a little more time here in 12 days and 16 hours

But probably not...

It's not working, Ch. It's not as interesting. It would be better for you to warn everyone not to overpost time after time after time, and not to have long c&p's (everybody does it some, even you in many of your thread articles), but to rely more on personal comments, and go on from there.

An occasional warning should keep Roger and me in line.

Not sure why that is not working Kansas

I forget... are you getting an error (and what is it) when you try to comment?

C.H. Truth said...

Well Reverend...

It seems to be working for everyone other than you and Roger.

I guess we will never see this the same way.

There is literally NOTHING interesting about opening up a thread and seeing cut and paste after cut and paste. Perhaps that is interesting to the person doing it. But not to anyone else.

Neither you or Roger will ever see this. You will never accept it. You will never change. Even as I delete these comments over and over - I still see off topic cut and pastes from both of you all day long - with Roger all day and all night (I swear he doesn't sleep).

I long time ago came to the conclusion that there are two ways to write. One that is interesting to me and one that is interesting to other people and they are not always the same thing.

KD - does that happen when you click on a comment link or when you attempt to send the comment?

Maybe you can email me a screenprint of the message (coldheartedtruth@yahoo.com) and I can check with Blogger.

Mike Pence is a RINO.

The FBI’s Crossfire Hurricane operation targeted candidate and President Trump. As Julie Kelly recalls, the FBI framed General Michael Flynn, misled the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance court, doctored correspondence, and used a fake dossier against Trump and his allies. In the style of the Soviet KGB, politicians pointed out the man and the FBI created the crime.

FBI boss Christopher Wray is all-in with the idea that anyone less than worshipful of Joe Biden is a violent extremist and domestic terrorist. The bureau raids the home of Donald Trump, ripping off his passports and rummaging through Melania’s clothes, yet Mike Pence has a beef with those who “attack” the FBI by lawful budgetary means? Embattled Americans may be forgiven for thinking that Pence is just as wrong as those who remain uncritical of the FBI.

The former vice president, a devout Christian, did not publicly cite Bible verses against the FBI critics. The targets of current FBI operations, on the other hand, have grounds to ponder Matthew 10:36: “A man’s foes shall be they of his own household.”

A former president’s foes include the man who ran who ran at his side, and prominent members of his own party. The most formidable foes of the American people are the agencies of their own government. None is a more clear and present danger than the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
