Hypocrisy is the bedrock of liberalism!

Hillary Clinton having thousands of classified document on a lightly secured unapproved personal server that nobody was aware of?

Donald Trump having 300 classified document sent to his residence when he left the Presidency. At least half of them returned, and the other half under Secret Service watch (with video surveillance)  that the DOJ and FBI were aware of?

Interestingly not a single person has been able to provide a valid argument over why the former was acceptable, while the former called for 30 agents with guns to raid the personal residence.

In the case of the Hillary Clinton, there was valid national security concerns. Valid as in the secured documents were in real time (classified at the time), that server was hackable, and almost certainly had been hacked. She also accessed the server with an unsecured blackberry. Many times out of the country where her phone records were under other jurisdictions. Moreover, she made the personal decision to house this information on her own server specifically to get around FOIA and other regulation. She was literally trying to hide her work product from both the US Government and the public,

But in the Donald Trump case, we don't know how many documents marked classified are even really classified two years later (either by Trump declassifying them or the security concerns waning)... much less if they are relevant.  These are also hard paper copies and someone would literally have to break into Mar-a-Lago to get to them.  There appears to be little real national security concern. Moreover, Donald Trump did not "personally" pack up any of the documents from the White House to be brought to Mar-a-Lago. We have no idea if he even wanted any of these documents in his possession or even knew what was there.

Much more important than Lock her up again and again and again and again.

Liz Cheney has big money Republican backers to run against Trump.

A third party would guarantee Trump 💯

Your loyalty to Trump is getting out of control.

The bigger problem seems to be with Biden's claims that he knew nothing about the raid. Only now we know that Biden retroactively waived Trump's right to declassify which ENABLED the fucking raid to begin with.

Biden White House facilitated DOJ's criminal probe against Trump, scuttled privilege claims: memos

Yep -

So let me get this straight. Trump took the normal action of claiming executive privilege over documents.

Then Biden took the radical step of retroactively waiving that privilege so the DOJ could snap in place a criminal investigation against his political opponent? Holy cow.

Sorry Reverend...

So far the NYT has reported about 10 different reasons for why the FBI raided Trump's home with 30 armed agents. They cannot all possibly be true. Either they are being leaked bad information or they are making shit up as they go. From nuclear secrets to boxes being moved to documents being destroyed to documents in his personal safe (which were not there by all accounts) to documents about Jan 6th to even holding no to declassified information about the FBI he planned to use when he ran for President...

Either way... I believe almost nothing of what they write anymore.

Simply not interested.

I will stick to what we know.

What we "KNOW" right now is that the DOJ provided a single subpoena to search through the records and that Trump was cooperative. That is what we "know" today. There is no actual evidence of a second subpoena or any other sort of court orders that were defied. Maybe there were, but I would be shocked if those were not leaked (if they existed).

We will eventually know "more" when the affidavit is released.

If it turns out that this was little more than a dispute about nearly two year old physical documents (a pissing contest between Trump, the DOJ, and the National Archives) and Garland sent 30 armed agents to settle that...

Well then we are truly in a banana republic.

And we might as well just live with that fact moving forward.

Hey Roger...

None of us need this situation explained to us for the 50th time...

and we most certainly do not need long cut and pastes to do so...

Why?

Why?

WHY???

Why can't you fucking stop?

This is the reason why NOBODY here can just comment without moderation. You (and to a lesser degree the Reverend) have taken it upon yourself to ruin this for everyone.

I wake up to 10-20 posts sitting in moderation from you... 9 out of 10 are long cut and pastes or just links.

This after you claiming you could follow protocols. But like a child, you have no self control.

Oh and as Turley and other have pointed out...

If the leaks to the NYT are "real" and "authentic" - then our DOJ is literally telling the courts that they cannot unseal their reasoning while selectively leaking things to the public to make themselves look good.

Is this the banana public we want to live in?

It is litigation by leak where the government prevents others (including the target) from seeing key representations made to the court while releasing selective facts to its own advantage. It shows utter contempt for the court and the public.

Start deleting EVERYTHING from his mentally ill ass. Put him in the penalty box for 30 days or so, and let him go jerk off on the hospice blog where he belongs.

The piece of shit has brought this blog to the brink of ruin. Make him pay a price for that so the blog has a chance to return to its former glory.

Ch, have you no sense of shame.

You posted my post in which I said see my previous post, yet you did not post my previous post.

Honest, decent, truthful Rev. said...

The previous post I referred to at 11:03 (and which Ch did not post) was one in which Trump's advisers kept telling him that he still had documents that needed to be turned over to the FBI and he refused and said, "They're not theirs, they're mine."

That's why Ch's statement that
"We have no idea if he even wanted any of these documents in his possession or even knew what was there" is total nonsense, total BS.

Reverend...

Not sure why this is so hard to understand.

Cutting and pasting is bad enough.

Cutting and pasting from the NYT is like using the National Inquirer to find bigfoot sightings.

Roger has the ability to start threads on the other blog. Nobody is moderating that one. You and him can cut and paste to your heart's content and if people are interested... well they can go over there. I have no issues with that!
